Psychological training for swimmers who are regular took part in the Czech championships\\
SOKOL, Cyril
The dissertation deals with the psychological training of swimmers from the Jihlava junior swimming club, who regularly take part in top swimming events. The theoretical part describes the mental processes in sport, personality traits, sport training, optimizing of psychophysiological conditions of performance, psychological training of swimmers. The research part searched the initial state of psychological readiness of the group and designed the intervention program, which was subsequently processed. Research participants neither were engaged in psychological training, nor had any information about it. Some of them suffer from pre-start nervousness and they reveal a high level of activation together with physiological manifestations that can affect the results of the race. The intervention program was designed so as to compensate these effects and to optimally tune, concentrate and motivate the swimmer. The knowledge of psychological training was improved and its importance was increased.

The Antireligous Trials in in the Czechoslovak Socialistic Republic in 1980s
Zrcek, Kryštof ; Tretera, Jiří Rajmund (advisor) ; Kindl, Vladimír (referee)
Antireligiously motivated trials in 1980s in Czechoslovakia The aim of my Master's degrese thesis is to point out specifics of the antireligiously motivated persecution in Czechoslovakia in 1980s. It differs from commonly known and reflected trials in the 1950s, which led to long lasting jail sentences and even death sentences. The strategy of communist Czechoslovakia in 1980s was more focused on less drastic but never stopping actions. The level of religious freedom in that time did't really exist, although the state submitted to several international pacts promising to be obliged by them. The first chapter deals with the historical context. It describes how the relationship between the communist regime and churches evolved after the World War Two. It focuses on the 1980s, describing some of the most important events in more detail. The second chapter deals with philosophical and political ideas on which the communist regime built its real policy. It quotes and comments various contemporary ideologists and tries to find the real meaining and purpose of the quoted material. The third chapter deals with the legal development of enactments relevant for this thesis. Also it tries to show how the law was applied. The fourth chapter deals with concrete case. There are four case studies, each chosen for a...

Study of Activity of Enzyma and Low Molecular Weight Antioxidant Systems
Macuchová, Simona ; Kráčmar, Stanislav (referee) ; Čertík, Milan (referee) ; Márová, Ivana (advisor)
Oxidative processes play important role in cell physiology and pathology as well. Balance of these processes is supplied by cooperating antioxidative systems; function of antioxidant defense systems depens on high levels of antioxidants in organism. Presented work is focused on developement and optimization of methods for analysis of important enzyme and non-enzyme antioxidants as well as total antioxidant capacity of selected types of biological material. Extractions and analyses of vitamin E, carotenoids, superoxide dismutase, catalase, peroxidase and lipoxygenase in barley and malt were optimized. RP-HPLC and HPLC/ESI-MS were used for analysis of vitamin E, phenolic and carotenoid content, spectrophotometry was used for enzymes activity analysis. A new methods for catalase and lipoxygenase activities were developed and compared with direct UV methods. Superoxide dismutase activity was determined by commercial diagnostic kit. A colorimetric method was used for peroxidase activity determination. Some kinetic parameters of enzymes were provided too. Optimized methods were used in the analyses of antioxidants in plant material - in barley and malt - in sets of samples of 6 varieties cultivated in four different locations for two years. Content of individual antioxidants differed depending on the variety, but usually were not found significant differences in the levels, depending on growing location. Perhaps climatic conditions have the greatest influence on levels of low molecular weight and enzymatic antioxidants at the specific location; oxidation processes are influenced both the quantity of moisture, both by sunlight, which induces oxidative processes in cultivated plants. The activity of antioxidants in barley caryopses is rapidly increasing during the malting process; an elevated temperature and moistness first induces activation the enzyme systems including antioxidant. In caryopsis is metabolic activity increased during which we can expect an increased production of radicals; for this purpose can antioxidant systems be activated that protect cells from damage by oxidative stress. In the second part of work optimized methods were applied in two clinical trials focused on study of the influence of exogenous antioxidants intake on metabolic and antioxidant status in human organism. In the first clinical study influence of food supplement containing polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E on metabolism of hyperlipidaemics was evaluated. After 3-month supplemenation a lipid profile was improved and serum antioxidant levels increased. The second experiment was focused on enzyme and non-enzyme antioxidant levels in healthy subjects after temporarily intake of specific foods rich in antioxidants. After two-month intake plasma phenolic substances were slightly increased. Total antioxidant capacity and activities of enzyme antioxidants were not affected. Results of both clinical exeriments showed that supplying of antioxidants in natural form or in the form of food supplements does not markedly affect metabolism of healthy subjects, while in patients with chronic diseases antioxidant supplementation can positively influence metabolic status. Results of this work showed that optimized methods are suitable for analyses of antioxidant status parameters and also for monitoring of exogenous antioxidant intake.

Rehabilitation of political prisoners in Czechoslovakia. The acts on judicial rehabilitation of years 1968 and 1990.
Fuková, Hana ; Cuhra, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kocian, Jiří (referee)
During the time when the Communist Party was the leading political party in the Czechoslovakia, many illicitness had happened, one of them were political trials. People convicted in these trials were innocent and accused of crimes just because the regime wanted to get rid of them as they were in some way "dangerous" for the communist regime. The subject of this bachelor paper is to compare two acts on judicial rehabilitation that should have rehabilitated those people, who were unfairly convicted in the political trials. The first law was issued in the year of 1968, the second thirty-two years later, in 1990. The acts were issued in different political situation. However, there are some similarities between them, as well as evident differences.

Witch trials in north Moravia, with regard to the development of superstitions relating to witchcraft

Political trials in Czechoslovakia during normalisation period 1969 - 1989
Petránková, Lucie ; Kindl, Vladimír (referee) ; Kuklík, Jan (advisor)
Resume The subject matter of my graduate work is political processes in the ČSSR as a standardization. Now after twenty years we can evaluate the totalitarian regime as twenty years is ample enough time for this. I will describe the persecution of political nature. In my work I focus on the criminal law, penalties of crimes, justice, the influence of laws on the judiciary, prosecution, and the advocacy. I will try to outline the scheme and its design. I want to describe the development of the totalitarian regime in the former Czechoslovakian republic. I will concentrate only on the period of normalization, as this period is not adequately described in literature. As a reference and source I used archival materials, legal writings and articles from books. The normalization was the period covering the last twenty years. It all began in 1968 (there was a military invasion into Czechoslovakia) which ended in 1989. At this time, the totalitarian regime developed their own system of law, this was called "socialist legality." I will use the laws from "socialist legality". These historical laws must be considered carefully and must be considered in a historical context, this is because it was the difference between written law and applied law. The law was interpreted for the interest of the Communist Party and...

Postmaterialist value orientation and its diffusion around the world
Sekerová, Simona ; Dostál, Petr (advisor) ; Hanzlík, Jan (referee)
The thesis introduces Inglehart's theory of the diffusion of the postmaterialistic values also in light of other related theories such as Maslow's theory of the hierarchy of human needs or Kuhn's theory of scientific revolutions. The thesis then continues to present opinions of other scientists who disputed Inglehart's theory on various points, such as specifically Fukuyama and Huntington, who contested Inglehart's view on the causal relationship between the socio-cultural environment unique to each society and the universal principles that are arguably common to all postmaterialistic societies. Finally, the thesis explains the methods used to measure the proliferation of postmaterialistic values within societies and presents data collected in several dozen European states since the 1980s.

Vits Family in the one-party represion (Komunist party represion)

Operation "Náchod Terror." Files of this name found in the archival resources of the State Security (Státní bezpečnost, StB) document show trials with the so called Karel Rudolf and Karel Vondráček groups. The case involving a group of private farmers from the village of Litoboř and its surroundings became the largest show trial with private farmers in the former Region of Eastern Bohemia. It was conducted in two parts, 26th-27th January and 25th-26th June 1952. The State Court (Státní soud) sentenced 18 people for treason and other criminal acts. Four death sentences were passed, three out of which were carried out and one changed to life sentence. Most of the remaining convicts were condemned to 14 to 20 years imprisonment. In the outcome, the public trials, greatly abused by the regime propaganda, served finally to crush the stubborn opposition of private farmers in the area against the establishing of collective farms (Jednotná zemědělská družstva, JZD).
