Floriánová, Jitka ; Klimek, Karel (referee) ; Myslín, Jiří (advisor) ; Skála, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this project was to design a new hippocentre in the locality of Lipůvka – Jihomoravský kraj. The building site is situated in a sloping terrain, on a meadow out of the built-up area of the village. The principle of this draft lies in a division of various functions to the separated objects, connected by inner and outer ways. The object is functionally divided into five parts – hall of an inner riding-school (partially imbedded into the terrain), with added objects of keeper’s/owner’s housing, restaurant and a club room with a kitchen and other service rooms, and accomodation part for guests. Higher in the terrain we can find horse stables with integrated service rooms- such as feed storage, changing rooms for the users, and showers for the horses. One of the most important requirements of this project was also to create a functional complex though the significant cant in the elevation across the length of the given area. Thus, the stable buildings have inside two different floor levels to compensate it. The hall of a riding-school is lighted by skylights in its roof, which also provide indirect lighting to the rooms in the western part of the three added blocks. In this bachelor thesis, only the buildings for accomodation and dwelling of people are being further designed and documented.

The theme of the project was to create a new gallery of modern art. The gallery will be used by the residents of all age groups from Brno and its surroundings. The land is located on the territory of Brno-Kraví hora. It is delimited by the street Kraví hora, adjacent park with astronomical observatory and planetarium and the allotments. The plot is in the sloping terrain and is currently located with 21 objects serving business entities. The plot is largely surrounded by the greenery of the gardens and adjacent park. The nearest building is an observatory and planetarium. In the vicinity there is also a sports centre and swimming pool. In its proposal, I therefore created another park in which the objects of gallery are integrated and which continuously builds on an already existing park. The Gallery is divided into three buildings, which are connected by an underground communication object. It is also designe dan object with a café and a lecture hall and object with the studios. In the northern corner of the plot is designed parking place, arrival is secured after the street Kraví hora. In the south-western boundary of the plot is terraced slope adapted for leisure activities. My intention was to design a smaller amounts, which may be easier to integrate into a park environment. Objects have only one floor. Gallery objects have another underground floor, which is to ensure the communication between them. Plans have a simple trapezoid shape, which is expanding away from the center of the square, around which are arranged. Roofs are standard with a different slant. The design consists of two separate buildings, namely the Church of the sending of the Holy Spirit and the parish building. These buildings are composed of three masses, including a church with two gable roofs and a facade that is primarily covered with white plaster, a parish building with a gable roof and a facade of wood and a bell tower which consists of 3 bells which are connected to reinforced concrete columns. The top of the church will be the highest element, the buildings will have two floors above ground and one underground floor in the entrance part of the church. The project also considers the open spaces around the land and aims to transform them into high-quality public areas. The sacred space should serve as a welcoming place that provides visitors with a sense of security, peace, support and understanding. It should be a place where people leave with a better feeling than when they came.
