The analysis of acoustic properties of innovative wood-based materials
Svojanovský, Jan ; Nop, Patrik (referee) ; Jirásek, Ondřej (advisor)
The content of this work is research of innovative wood-based materials in the acous-tic perspective. Basically, the goal is to determine the influence of the internal structure of the wood-based material on variables, which are sound speed, acoustic resistance, or acous-tic constant. In total were measured 15 samples, each one was made in a different way. Each sam-ple was weighted, and the length of its sides was measured. By using the ultra sonic timer, it was measured the time of the sound impulses, which go through the samples in all of their axes for the purpose of observation the influence the fibers on speed of sound in the materi-al. The next thing to do was to determine another magnitude, which describe acoustic of the material. All measurements were taken in room conditions (room humidity). Six of the sam-ples, which were randomly selected from those 15 samples, were measured once again after two weeks. In those two weeks were all the samples saved in air-conditioned place in which was the room humidity distinct lower. In the end all the samples were compared with each other and they were also com-pared with materials which are commonly used in production of musical instruments or acoustic components. Possible use in the music industry was assigned to each sample.
Cost comparison of houses made of classic materials and houses made of natural material
Lošáková, Jana ; Gilar, Ing Přemysl (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on a comparison of construction cost of the house made of classic materials with the equivalent made of natural building materials and consequently on comparison of both construction variants. In order to perform those tasks, the used natural building materials were defined. Furthermore, the specific options of usage of these natural building materials as well as the used composition structures were introduced. The thesis concludes with a price calculation of the constructions made of natural building materials which were not available in the common budgetary software. The appendix of the thesis contains budgets for the first variant, where the house is made of natural building materials, and also for the second variant, where the house is made of classic materials.

Housing for bro
Kropšová, Zuzana ; Šnajdarová, Helena (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
I have a brother with a mental disability. The moment when he will move away from his mom‘s house is slowly approaching. The question is: Where will he move? What will he do during the days? Where will he be able to work? Will he be able to live like most of us? Will he be useful and beneficial for society? Will people perceive him as someone who needs help or as someone who has something to offer? Architecture gives space to people. Space that forms them. Space has the power to unite people. It can tear down barriers which have been build during the years. Space can open up new possibilities. That is why I am convinced that I can find answers to my questions through architecture. In my work, I want to map the life of an adult with a mental disability and find a way how to integrate him into the mainstream society fully. I want to find a way how to make partners from clients. Since I have lived with a person with a mental disability for 15 years of my life, I will rely primarily on my personal experience. I tailored the work to my brother, but, at the same time, I want it to have a general outreach. I will draw inspiration from literature, legislation, and personal meetings.
Leisure Time Centre Brno
Gregorová, Stanislava ; Teplý, Vladimír (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
The theme of my bachelor’s thesis is to design a new leisure time centre building in Brno Novy Liskovec. The area is a defined space by street Plachty. The building site is situated in the northern part of the area, surrounded by blocks of flats. The principle of the draft is based on integration of the building into the park in the context of the surrounding buildings. The object corresponds with blocks of flats in its shape and material, it adapts to the surrounding terrain by incorporation into the slope. Typical of the whole building are concrete, cube, simplicity – they can be seen at first floor outside, contrary to the ground floor - it builds into the surrounding terrain by a material of wood. The leisure time centre building is functionally divided into parts: a multifunctional hall, rooms for leisure and café. All these operations are closely related and complement each other. Green roof of the building is designed for people, equipped with benches. Together with the adjustment of the surrounding park it contributes to the creation of public space on the estate.

Designed object consists of three parts: sale and presentation of sparkling wine, housing for owners and visitors, production. And the main goal was to connect all of the functions so they can complement each other. The Object presents three masses – two main and one subsidiary, which are distinguished by the shape of te roof and the structure of the fasade. The nearest to the access road is a building of a family house, which consists of a publicly accessible two-storey winery, which connects to two large apartments for visitors, and private part - investor apartments. The investor's apartment is illuminated from two sides - southwest and northwest. The living room has a large window opening, which provides beautiful views of the private outdoor terrace and area green. The attic of the family house is designed for accommodation of visitors and tasting of sparkling wine. Through the passage public communication is linked with the production of sparkling wine.
