Application for Food Quality Rating for Android
Tomešek, Jan ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with design, implementation and testing of a mobile application which represents a part of a newly emerging service for food quality rating in catering facilities. The ratings come directly from consumers. Users can get inspired by ratings from other users, they can add ratings on their own or search for dishes and facilities. The thesis primarily focuses on the user interface design. The service is brought to users through an application for the Android platform. Application, which is compatible with 94 % of Android devices on the market and which could be released for real usage in the future, was created in this thesis. To a reader the thesis provides a look at the current trends in mobile application development, it presents considerations related to the design of a real world application and offers a selection of tools and means which can be used for development or be integrated into the application.

User Interface for Web-Based Games
Hlaváč, Martin ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This thesis describes challenges in designing, developing and testing web user interfaces. It discusses human-computer interaction, communication channels and user interface analogy to the real world. User interfaces can be designed to be optimal for a specific action or to suite the user. A design of interfaces focused on users utilize methods, such as gamification and improving user experience, which can improve interface usability. User interface development is demonstrated on web page development. Further, the thesis describes 3 web user interface testing methods. The methods are demonstrated by designing, developing, and testing user interface of a web strategy game.

Contemporary Web Graphic Design Course Concept
Landa, Štěpán ; Vondra, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Čermák, Radim (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to suggest a course concept that would describe the basic rules, trends and processes of the contemporary visual design of creating web pages, present this knowledge to students in an efficient way and support the increase of quality and diversity of study options at the Department of Multimedia in Economic Practice. Theoretical part brings out factual grounds of the topic from the point of view of an independent entrepreneur from the initial communication with a client up to the feedback evaluation of the outputs. Practical part deals with a concrete progress of the education based on the survey conveyed among students and graduates of the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics on the University of Economics, Prague. The course syllabus was designed in a way that ensures the capacity for creating a high-quality graphic web page design evolved from background research, draft of the contents and applying the obtained knowledge in the graphic design software.

Prototyping user interface of web applications
Lauko, Matej ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (referee)
The theme of this bachelor thesis is prototyping, which is a part of the user interface design of web applications. The objective is to describe the options and reasons for prototyping as well as describe the prototyping process and its outcomes, compare selected tools from the prototyping tools available on market and select one that meets the author's criteria the best. The last objective is to create a digital prototype demonstration. The main contribution is the evaluation of the selected tools for prototyping and comparison that can be helpful when deciding which application to purchase. Another contribution of this thesis is the creation of an overview in the field of prototyping and design of user interfaces and also describing the creation of example prototype. In the introductory part is a description of a user interface and web applications, since this thesis is precisely focused on user interface design of web applications. Following is a description of a user interface design process, user experience and its part usability, because of which prototyping is necessary. The next chapter explains what is a prototype and prototyping, and reasons for prototyping are described. Further in thesis a prototyping process is stated witch different approaches to this process. This chapter also describes various characteristics of the prototype and two types of prototypes, paper and digital. The next chapter is devoted to the comparison of selected prototyping tools. After setting out a method of comparison and formulating criteria for comparison a description of selected tools according to selected criteria and determination of their rank follows. Finally, the winning tool is selected the whole comparison is evaluated. In the last chapter a practical demonstration of process and outcome of creating digital prototype is shown.
