Romany Housing
Vyhlídalová, Lucie ; Manová, Ludmila (referee) ; Menšíková, Naděžda (advisor) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
The project of Romany Housing is located in Brno, the urban district Maloměřice. Architecturally, it is designed as a low-rise row housing, taking into consideration the special requirements of the Romani community, such as living in larger families. Functionally, the structure is designed as a socialized housing with certain level of government support. The housing development is variable. The basis of the project are two types of houses, which alternate in the row-house structure. Moreover, each one of these types also offers different solutions altering the capacity. The houses are designed to be easily extended, even while being used. The construction is wooden, using environmentally-friendly material for cladding – ecopanels. The rows of houses follow the perimeter of the parallelogram of the site and create a peaceful relaxation area in the middle, suitable for free time activities. From the architectural point of view, the new housing development fits into the current image of the location in this quiet part of Brno, which is dominated by small houses with gabled roofs. The new buildings are characterized by asymmetrical gable and windows playfully placed in an asymmetrical pattern. Another distinctive element is the facade, which combines trapezoidal metal sheet and wooden cladding.
Auto center VW Mikulov
Kováčik, Branislav ; Bílek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to create documentation for a building permit and documentation for the construction of a building, the basic compositional and architectural design of which is based on a previously processed architectural study within the subject AG033 - Atelier of production buildings. This is a design project of the Volkswagen Group Autocentre in Mikulov. The specified land intended for development is located in the westernmost part of the town of Mikulov in the cadastral territory of the town of Mikulov, it is an industrial zone of the town. The surrounding buildings are largely made up of low-rise large-scale buildings, production halls, storage facilities or agricultural buildings and their accessories. Within the zoning plan, the area adjacent from the south side to Jiráskova Street is listed as a brownfield. The shape of the land predetermines the proposed construction of the longitudinal shape of a deep character, as the land is stretched in the north - south direction and has the shape of a gradually narrowing trapezoid. The terrain is slightly sloping and descends to the south. From the south side, a wastewater treatment plant is adjacent to the solved area. The bachelor's thesis also deals with the solution of the external modifications of the area, including transport infrastructure, stratification and the number of parking spaces. An essential part is also the distribution and character of the upper and lower greenery, the location and shape of the areas intended for demonstration vehicles. Last but not least, the work deals with the solution of engineering networks within the technical equipment of buildings and technical infrastructure, management of waste, etc. The proposed building respects the floor plan delimitation of the land, primarily by maintaining the parallelism of the perimeter walls with these boundaries. The central element of the mass composition is an extravagantly designed ellipse used as the main exhibition space, opened by a large-area rounded glazing into the entrance area of the exterior. The remaining masses of the building are formed by blocks of different height levels, which achieves the compositional principle of gradation. The completely monotonous mass of the production hall is broken in each field by a massive skylight encircling the building along the entire perimeter of its section. The building has premises for warehousing, administrative activities, exhibition premises, technical facilities and premises belonging to professional workplaces of car mechanics. All material segments of the building are interconnected by internal passages. The whole building has a purely industrial character, which is based on the character and purpose of use of the building and has a connection with the automotive industry. The main materials used in the construction of this building are structural steel, concrete and thermal insulation perimeter panels. The façade emphasizes the essence of the ellipse, which is largely-glazed, while the storage and production areas are hidden in the rear and their visual layer is formed by sheet metal in gray, respectively. white color.
Production Hall with Administrative Building
Dolníčková, Andrea ; Balázs, Ivan (referee) ; Horáček, Martin (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is design and check of two steel structures. A production hall with a floor plan dimensions 24x50 m and an administrative building with floor plan dimensions 54x30 m. Both buildings are situated in Prostějov. The structure of the production hall has a roof pitched at 12%. The main frames have 6 m centre to centre spacing. The design of the production hall is processed in two options. The administrative building has 4 floors. The floor structures are made of composite steel and concrete structure. The structure is stabilized by vertical bracings in both directions. The computational model of both structures was built up using SCIA Engineer software.
Riding hall
Poláček, Petr ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Sýkora, Karel (advisor)
Bachelor thesis with the disign of the steel load-bearing structure of riding hall. Trackway area has plan dimension of 25 x 60 m. Span of main frame is 36 m. Main frame are distanced 9 m. The hall is 10,5 m hight. The structure is design for the area of Svitávka near Letovice.
Lookout tower
Jedzoková, Patricie ; Pešek, Ondřej (referee) ; Balázs, Ivan (advisor)
The object of the diploma thesis is design and assessment of a steel lookout tower situated in Beskydy mountains. Two different variants were designed. The first variant is of square shaped plan and the second one is of hexagonal shaped plan. Both variants are spatial truss structures. They are shaped as hourglass. The variants were compared and the first one was chosen to be further developed. The lookout tower is 36 meters high and it is divided by floors. One floor is 3,6 meters high. The widest section is 8 meters, the narrowest section is 5 meters wide. The structure is pin-supported into concrete foundation. The concrete is class C25/30. The roof covering is made of trapezoidal sheet of class S280GD. Each steel element is made of steel of class S355.
Administration Building
Frieda, Jan ; Pilgr, Milan (referee) ; Sýkora, Karel (advisor)
This thesis aims to design a bearing composite steel structure for five-storey administration building with ground plan dimensions 35,00 x 50,00 m. Designed building has L-shaped plan, flat roof and attic all the way around. The largest part of the plan area occupies office zone with dimensions of 48,60 x 18,90 m. Contiguous zone communication and sanitation has dimensions of 13,50 x 15,90 m. Floor height is designed 3,60 m, the total height of the building is 18,70 m. Composite steel floor structure consists of transverse primary beams and hinge-connected secondary beams. Integrated formwork (trapezoidal sheet) has ribs oriented perpendicular to the secondary beams. Coupling is bidirectional. Construction will be done in two variants. Variant No.1 assumes primary and secondary beams (at the columns) hinge-connected with columns. In variant No.2 will be frame connection between primary beams and columns and together they will create 2D transverse frames with hinge-connected secondary beams. The supporting structure of the roof is designed similarly to ceiling, but reinforced concrete slab will be replaced with bracing in the roof plane and self-bearing rib sandwich panels. Vertical sheathing of the building provide sandwich panels and strip windows. The type of steel is S355. The building is designed for the site Hradec Králové. Standards and documents used in design of the bearing structure are included in the list of sources. The result of this work is a static analysis with an assessment of all elements of the selected (best) variant of the structure, drawing documentation and technical report.
