Senior tourism

This diploma thesis analyzes the senior tourism, its development, status, structure and perceptions of accommodation facility owners. We used leisure development and the evolution of older people (55 years and 65 years) for the theoretical framing theory. We also used development funds and the theory of subjective and real age for better explaining the actual trends. The methodology of thesis was based on a survey, informal interviews and email survey. A questionnaire survey was conducted on two levels. The first aims directly at senior citizens (240 respondents) and the second at the owners of accommodation facilities. An important source of information was informal conversation among the elderly. These interviews helped to clarify and to explain phenomena that were discovered in surveys. Another source of information was planned as a telephone poll of travel agents. However, for fear of misuse of data and retaining its "know-how" there were no results and this method of information obtaining was avoided. A very important source of information were reviews of Czech and foreign literature. Finally, I used and Internet sources. Use of Prerequisites Tourism in a chosen Territory

The aim of this thesis is to analyze and evaluate the prerequisites tourism and the tourism potential in the defined area of the Pelhřimov district. The theoretical part focuses on the basic terminology of tourism, regional development and theoretical determination of preconditions for tourism development. In the practical part, the prerequisites of the defined area are analyzed and evaluated from the tourism point of view. This is followed by the evaluation method of tourism potential. Based on the analyses, several recommendations for the use and connection of local attractions are suggested with the aim to promote local tourism in the defined area.
Tourism in rural areas - municipalities of Rabí and Chanovice case study

The main objective of master thesis was to compare the potential of tourism in two rural communities in the Klatovy region. The theoretical part explains the concepts of literature related to rural tourism and tourism outlined in the Pilsen district. The practical part was to compare the objective data of selected municipalities and survey focused on the views of the population on tourism and business in their village. Based on empirical field research were identified attitudes and opinions of individual categories of respondents and established recommendations for the decision-making system.
The Assessment of the Golden Trail´s Tourism Potential Utilization on the Route from Passau to Prachatice

The aim of the bachelor thesis is the analysis of the current state of tourism on the route of the Golden Trail which leads from Passau to Prachatice. The thesis deals with the assessment of the Golden Trail's tourism potential and its present utilization from the location and implementation prerequisites point of view. The theoretical part discusses the historical meaning of the Golden Trail, whereas the practical part analyzes landmarks, tourism products, tourism infrastructure and marketing approach on the different parts of the Golden Trail. Final chapter compares the ascertained differences between the individual parts of the Golden Trail as well as between Czech and German side. Subsequently the author of the thesis introduces suggestions for improvement of the Golden Trail's tourism potential utilization and makes the SWOT analysis.
The Region of Josef Lada and its influence on tourism in its territory

The thesis introduces the Region of Josef Lada (the group of municipalities) and its tourism potential in terms of natural, cultural and historical attractions and tourist infrastructure. Furthermore, the reader is acquainted with activities and projects which have already been realized by the group of municipalities with a view to promote tourism. The importance of these activities and projects for the entire region and each member municipality is evaluated on the basis of research among the mayors.
Cultural and historical tourism potential in region of Telč

The object of the diploma was to analyse cultural and heritage tourism in the region Telčsko. The research was made, which helped to recognise common characteristics of visitors and to recognize why do they come to region and which atractivities are the most visited. The result of the research problems gives us some problematic areas and it was made a suggestion of the solutions of this problematical points.
Analysis of tourism intensity in Strakonice

This thesis analyzes the intensity of tourism in Strakonice and a potential for further development. The analysis was performed first, using computer software ArcGIS and through a personal interview visitors Strakonice. Based on the findings of these analytical solutions have been proposed how to increase the attractiveness of the reference region.

Generally this problem is divided into assessment of natural potential and assessment of cultural-historical potential of an area for tourism and recreation. Spanish tourists in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of tourism attractiveness of the Czech Republic for Spanish tourists. In the theoretical part are defined basic terms concerning tourism destination, tourism supply and demand. In the practical part are firstly characterized Spanish tourists and their habits, than follows analysis of current demand of Spanish tourists for Czech Republic and quantitative and qualitative overview of the tourism supply in the Czech Republic. Finally there is an evaluation of the tourism supply in the Czech Republic and its potential according to further development of tourism of Spanish clients into this destination.
