System approach to the Students' Union of the University of Economics in Prague

The aim of this diploma thesis is the preparation and foundation of the Students' Union of the University of Economics in Prague, which is done by Soft systems methodology. In order to achieve this aim, the thesis elaborates a theory of student organizations and student unions in the Czech Republic. It also compares a set of rules governing student organizations at chosen Czech universities with chosen foreign universities. The result of this comparison is that chosen foreign universities have more systematic policies towards their student organizations. The research part of this thesis contains Analysis two (social) and Analysis three (political) from the Soft systems methodology. The results of the research contains defined set of roles, norms, values and a distribution of power in the environment of student organizations at University of Economics. Practical part of the thesis brings two complete learning cycles of the Soft systems methodology including root definitions, CATWOE and models of purposeful activity. Based on these two learning cycles, the thesis defines the general limits of Soft system methodology for the foundation of student union at Czech universities.
Analýza internetové marketingové strategie AIESEC

The Master's thesis focuses on analysing the data about the customers of the student organisation AIESEC collected between 2012 and 2014. The results show the various customer segments defined by university, faculty and year of study from which AIESEC gets its applicants, the successfulness in finding an internship of students from these segments, proportions of different programmes (and sub-programmes) that students apply for, most desired countries as internship destinations, most effective communication channels and the average time periods between the process parts of application, raise, match and realization. Based on the results and insights from theory which discusses the use of Internet in communication with youth, the author suggests specific improvements for AIESEC to acquire more customers. These suggestions focus on increasing the return on investment of the organisation by increasing the quality of the applications, but equally focus on increasing the quantity of new customers acquired and increasing the efficiency of the AIESEC process.
Strategy of PR and communication within the purview of the organisation EPM CR

This thesis deals with the strategy of PR and communication used by the organisation, the European Youth Parliament, Czech Republic (EYP CZ). It is a student organisation with a focus on the extracurricular education of young people. The aim of the thesis is focused on the recruitment of new members and the continued participation of the current members of the EYP CZ. The thesis describes the innovative tools and methods used for obtaining the highest number of new members and also how EYP CZ motivates current members to be more active. This strategy is designed to be applicable and easily transmittable between the boards of national committees.
Analysis of students’ motivation to go for AIESEC internships

This thesis deals with motivation of students who are going for internships with AIESEC. The theoretical part introduces organization AIESEC, gathers information about topic of motivation and also describes the whole process of going for internship together with explanation of the role of coordinator for interns. The empirical part presents results from the research that was conducted to find out what was the motivation of students going for internships and also motivation of coordinators, who are directly working with interns. Both researches were based on written online questionnaires distributed to interns and coordinators. Analysis of results was followed by recommendations for improvement of work with interns and coordinators.
Analysis of event marketing in a chosen student organisation

The aim of my Master's thesis is to analyse event marketing in the organisation ESN VSE Prague - Buddy System o.s. The thesis is devided into two parts. The theoretical part consists of explaining the terms event marketing as a part of the marketing mix, a typology of events and the proper planning of events. The practical part focuses on the analysis of the event called Nation2Nation. Here I describe how the event was organised in the very beginning and deal with the analysis of the current situation. I set up three hypotesis that I confirmed on the grounds of my analysis. The primary source of information were questionnaires filled by visitors, interview with the former head of Nation2Nation and my observation. In the final chapter I made a summarizing evaluation and recommendations.
Analysis of the internet marketing strategy of AIESEC

This thesis deals with the use of Internet in marketing, in a specific non-profit organization, AIESEC. The theoretical part contains the characteristics of AIESEC as a non-profit organization, and a summary of the specifics of marketing in the non-profit sector. It also presents the role and importance of Internet in marketing. The practical part is devoted to a particular branch of the student organization, AIESEC Prague, and analyzes its use of Internet marketing tools. Based on a comparison with competing organizations and their activities on the Internet, proposals for changes in the use of exploited tools are formulated.
Analysis of selected processes of student society

The thesis is aimed on the analysis of the selected processes of the student society -- Všehrd. The introductory theoretical part in second chapter is substantial. It compiles the basic institutions and it gives the opportunity to understand the topic even to nonqualified reader. The general principles and the modeling concept, modified for the lack of background for the current process model, are the essential part of this introduction. The third chapter is dedicated to analysis of the present and future of Všehrd. The process models are based on this analysis. The process models -- basic, hierarchy and selected key process -- are fourth chapter of the thesis. In the fifth chapter SW tools for the support of designed process models are discussed. The sixth chapter is dedicated to verification of the process analysis results based on the interview with Všehrd's members. And the designed process models are confronted with the similar student organization AIESEC ČZU in the seventh chapter of the thesis. The purpose of the thesis is to introduce the possibilities of the process modeling to the student organizations and to set the fundamentals for the implementation of designed process models and for the future complex analysis of Všehrd.
