"The time for self" - realization of women on maternity leave
HORATSCHKEOVÁ, Adéla
The topic of this paper is "me time" for women on maternity leave. The definition of "maternity leave" encompasses both maternity leave and parental leave. The theoretical portion of the paper is devoted primarily to motherhood, which is discussed from several points of view and is examined in various contexts. The practical part of the paper consists of qualitative research using the method of semi-structured interviews of mothers on maternity leave. The research questions relate to the women's perception of the concept of "me time" while on maternity leave, the attitudes perceived by women that individuals in the women's immediate environment have about their "me time", and, lastly, the change in activities that the women were involved in before they had children and their activities during maternity leave. The aim of the research is to examine how women on maternity experience this concept: how women fill this "me time", whether they are fulfilled, and what needs they have in this respect. The data was analyzed using the "case card" method. It was found that most mothers in the research group viewed the concept of "me time" as time when they are alone and can devote themselves to the activities they enjoy. The need for such alone time was found to be less important especially when the child was very young. A phenomenon of the perception of "me time" that included time spent alone with the woman's husband or partner emerged. In most cases, the environment looked positively on the woman's "me time" and supported her in her activities. The women's activities did not change significantly over time, but a significant change occurred in the number of opportunities the women on maternity had for themselves and for the activities they enjoy.

This thesis deals with the influence of family educational styles on sound child's selfconception development. Its goal is to describe and search the selfconception phenomenon as one of the key categories of a human personality in relation to a family educational style effect. In the theoretical part there is a survey of substantial information concerning the selfhood-psychology and the family psychology. Particularly it deals with selfconception description and all its components and aspects and it gives us a systemic view of a family and its educational styles. The empirical part of the thesis brings the results of a quality research that was carried out as narrative interviews. Their categorial analysis has shown that sound selfconception is influenced not only by the family educational style, but also by other crucial facts. Mainly it is the question of an individual's resilience which can act protectively in relation to prospective negative family education influence. Beautiful Goddess: Contemporary Feminine Spirituality in the example of the female tantric groups
Veselá, Helena ; Nešpor, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Zdeněk (referee)
This thesis elaborates the results of the research I carried out wtihin the year 2009 in a paid course of female tantric initiation. The theme of the thesis was inspired by my previous interest in the Goddess movement. As this movement is not yet concretized in the Czech republic, I have chosen participating in a closed women's group which is very close to it due to a specific combination of religion, philosophy and psychology. My goal was to find out what form the women's spirituality has in the Czech environment and what kind of women are drawn to it. While the first part of the thesis deals with the universal characteristics of the current eclectic spirituality generally described as the New Age movement, the second part is devoted to the research itself. I come to the conclusion that the symbol of the Goddess, the key idea of the thesis, is not perceived only as a religious concept but also as a medium by means of which women define their needs and problems resulting from their femininity. By this particular case, I advert to the very psychotherapeutic dimension of women's spirituality. Keywords: New Age, tantra, The Goddess, body, spirituality, femininity, self-realization, strength, motherhood
