The effect of incorporating music into a comprehensive neurological rehabilitation programme on balance, gait, self-sufficiency and psyche: an experimental non-randomised study
Vokáčová, Zuzana ; Hlinovská, Jana (advisor) ; Řasová, Kamila (referee)
The main objective: To empirically assess the impact of integrating therapy incorporating elements of music and dance into a comprehensive rehabilitation plan for neurological patients, with a focus on its effects on their balance, gait, self- reliance, and psychological well-being compared to a control group. Methods: In a non-randomized experimental study, two groups will experience a comprehensive neurological program following the standard protocol of FTN in Prague. The experimental group will receive additional therapy incorporating music and dance elements (2-3 times a week, 8 sessions over 4 weeks, each lasting 40 minutes). Participants will undergo pre - and post-program testing, with analysis comparing results between groups using a two-sample t-test, and within-group changes using a paired t-test. Results: Improvements in balance and gait in Tinetti test were seen in both groups, but the differences weren't statistically significant, making it unclear which group improved more. Other gait tests (TUG test and 6 MWT) showed no significant changes. Both groups saw significant improvement in self-efficacy measured by the FIM scale, with the control group showing a superior improvement. Psychological evaluation also improved in SF-36 in both groups, but without statistical significance. Thus,...

Moravcová, Kateřina ; Hradilová, Iva (advisor) ; Rotbartová, Eliška (referee)
Title: Pregnancy in woman with spinal cord injury from perspective of occupational therapist Abstract: This bachelor thesis is dedicated to identifying the area of occupational therapist support and the use of occupational therapy during pregnancy in women with spinal cord injury to achieve self-sufficiency and influence quality of life during this period. It also looks at defining areas where increased assistance is needed compared to the pre-pregnancy and trimester conditions. The theoretical part focuses on the areas of counselling as one of the occupational therapist's job responsibilities, which includes items of planning, preparation, education and training in the areas of preparation for childcare, preparation for the delivery room, preparation of compensatory aids, focus on quality of life and psyche of the pregnant woman with spinal cord injury and ADL training. In the practical part, the thesis uses a questionnaire as a method of data collection. The questionnaire focuses on general information about the pregnant woman, and mainly on personal activities of daily life, assistance and occupational therapy intervention. It showed that in pregnant women with spinal cord lesions, self-sufficiency in ADL decreases as pregnancy progresses, being lowest in the third trimester. This is highest for...
Machine-learning-based self-adaptation of component ensembles
Töpfer, Michal ; Bureš, Tomáš (advisor)
In the area of distributed self-adaptive smart systems (such as applications of Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems), machine learning has been successfully used in several applications including the prediction of metrics regarding the components in the system (e.g., battery consumption), and pruning of the space of possible adaptations. It is clear that machine learning can be a useful tool in self-adaptive systems. Most of the research works focus on using the machine learning algorithms for a specific task, yet they are (at least partially) lacking in providing a systematic approach to the introduction of machine learning into the architecture of the system. In this thesis, we propose ML-DEECo - a machine-learning-enabled component model for adaptive component architectures. It is based on the concepts of autonomous com- ponents and their ensembles (coalitions) from the DEECo component model. We enrich DEECo with abstractions for specifying machine-learning-based estimates directly in the architecture of the system. The architect can thus focus on the business logic of the application while all the tasks necessary to provide the estimates (such as collecting the data and training the model) are provided by our runtime framework. We provide an implementation of the ML-DEECo runtime in Python and...

Žaludek, Adam ; Marx, David (advisor) ; Cetlová, Lada (referee) ; Pastucha, Dalibor (referee)
The theme of the dissertation thesis is "Standardization of early identification of risks of self-harm as a risk reduction tool in psychiatric inpatients". For the purposes of the thesis, the risk of self-harm means the risk of self-harm with the aim of suicide. The aim of the dissertation thesis is to propose a standardized process for identifying and managing the risk of self-harm in hospitalized patients at psychiatric inpatient facilities, which is presented in the form of a methodological instruction. The work is in the theoretical part focused on the process of standardization in the context of risk and quality management in healthcare, the epidemiology of suicides in the general population and in hospitalized patients in psychiatric institutions, the root causes of completed suicides during hospitalization, the possibilities of risk assessment, factors of a safe environment and the current approach to risk assessment in context of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is supplemented by author's five scientific publications, which are focused on the current state of self-harm risk assessment and risk management tools in the Czech Republic, practical options for securing the environment and evaluating the level of risks in it, possibilities for early detection of self-harm risks in...

Presslová, Natálie ; Harbichová, Ivana (advisor) ; Komarc, Martin (referee)
Title: Motivation for Physical Activities among Secondary School Students Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor's thesis is to describe the level of motives leading to physical activity among secondary school students. A secondary objective is to compare the level of these motives between boys and girls. Methods: This work is empirical-theoretical, specifically a one-time cross-sectional descriptive study based on a survey. The research sample consisted of N = 271 secondary school students, who were administered a multidimensional questionnaire assessing motivation for physical activity (Motives for Physical Activity Measure - Revised; MPAM- R). Basic descriptive statistics were used for data processing. Results: The results showed that the primary motive among the respondents was fitness/conditioning (M = 5.4). Other motives included competence/challenge (M = 5.1), interest/enjoyment (M = 5.1), and appearance (M = 4.8). The weakest motive influencing the respondents was social interaction (M = 4.5). Gender differences in motivation were minimal in the studied sample. Keywords: motivation, physical activity, self-determination, MPAM-R
Self-promotion and promotion of artworks by students of AVU and UMPRUM
Šašková, Sarah ; Schneiderová, Soňa (advisor) ; Ježková, Tereza (referee)
This bachelor thesis investigates the self-promotion and promotion of artworks by selected students of the Academy of Fine Arts (AVU) and the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (UMPRUM). The aim is to explore how the interviewed art students approach self- promotion, what do they consider to be most important regarding their self-promotion, whether they have encountered any obstacles within it, what does artistic success mean to them, and whether they perceive a need for self-promotion to ensure their future success in the art field. The theoretical part describes the study programs of AVU and UMPRUM and their communication channels, which are also used to promote their students' artistic work. It also addresses the definition of art marketing and personal branding (especially in the context of art) and the characteristics of their principles, benefits, and potential pitfalls. The practical part answers the research questions using qualitative methodology of semi-structured individual interviews and quantitative methodology of a complementary questionnaire survey. The findings suggest that the interviewed art students perceive artistic success and the importance od marketing and personal branding to ensure it quite differently. They are aware of the importance of self-promotion, but their...
