Noise in rail transport
Maňák, František ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Řehák, Kamil (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is about the noise of the rail transport, this thesis is focused on the noise, that is generated by trains on the track. This thesis includes analysis of dominant noise sources from rail transport, factors affecting noise and noise measures, which minimize noise from the rail transport as effectively as possible. These measures can be divided into active and passive, each measure has its own advantages and disadvantages. The conclusion describes an evaluation of current trends and considers the future possible development of noise measures.
Traumatic consequences of pedestrian - tram interaction and specifics in the case of child - pedestrians
Belková, Natália ; Jelen, Karel (advisor) ; Tlapáková, Eva (referee)
Title: Traumatic consequences of pedestrian-tram interaction and specifics in the case of child-pedestrians Objectives: The aim of the paper is to analyze the issue of pedestrian-tram traffic accidents in respect of injury consequences, based on available literary sources in accordance with the selection criteria. Special attention is paid to where such accidents involve children. The work is part of the grant ANALYSIS OF ACCIDENT EVENTS CHODEC TRAMVAJ. It aims to evaluate the occurrence, type and nature of injuries where collisions have taken place between pedestrians and trams. Methods: The thesis is produced on the basis of literary research. Due to the breadth of the interdisciplinary nature of the issue, literary sources were searched in the NCBI, Sciencedirect, Springerlink, Researchgate, PubMed databases. The first part of the thesis contains a theoretical introduction to the issue of tram transport and the definition of basic concepts, injuries of individual parts of the locomotor system and accident mechanisms in terms of biomechanics. The second part has a descriptive-analytical nature and contains an analysis of individual studies that deal with the health of a pedestrian/child accident, in relation to a tram. Results: At the end of the search, 64 studies met the selection criteria. Six...
Design of the Gear Coupling for Railway Vehicle Application
Pelíšek, Vojtěch ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Prokop, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of this work was to create a design of a gear coupling for railway vehicle application. The work presents a comprehensive view of this issue. First of all, a brief theoretical introduction to the issue is made. The practical part follows, where the design of the whole coupling and especially the newly designed solutions are described in detail. The strength analysis performed deal with the key components that are necessary to ensure safe operation. These analyses can be applied not only for this particular case, but also to gear couplings of different designs, because in principle these calculations do not differ much. In the last chapter, which deals with the dynamic model, all the theoretical assumptions are verified, especially the coupling movements and the applied loads. If the reader deals with the issue of gear couplings, not only in the railway industry, this work presents a comprehensive view of this component. The designed coupling and all performed simulations are really usable in operation.
Impacts of the government´s decision to intervene in fare pricing policies within passenger railway transportation. Comparison between Czech and Slovak markets.
Lofaj, Jakub ; Tomáš,, Gnap (referee) ; Bočková, Nina (advisor)
The subject of the diploma´s thesis is the comparison of the particular private rail transport policies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. There are specific, both economic and non-economic impacts of a free fare in Slovakia and slightly different policy of fare discounts in the Czech Republic, identified and consequently analyzed in the thesis. Comparative analysis between both policies is conducted right after. All the impacts are measured and evaluated in the context of particular government budgets, both national and private railway transporters and different segments of users, who are mostly affected by the movement. The analysis of these extraordinary government policies is conducted based on selected publicly available indicators and data from several different sources (official statistics, agreements, annual reports, tariffs comparison, financial statements, granted subsidies etc.).
The Potential of Railway Stations in Trade and Tourism
ZELENKOVÁ, Martina
Diploma The Potencial of Railway Stations in Trade and Tourism examines the potential of the selected railway station. It is primary focused on increasing the attractiveness of these areas, using new technologies and innovations. For this work was chosen a station building in Kutná Hora. The resulting proposals will be applied to respond to the current needs of local passengers regarding the possibilities of the station.
Competition in The Railway Passenger Market
Smetana, Viktor ; Švarc, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Kříž, Radim (referee)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the influence and benefits arising from the presence of competition in the railway passenger transport market for passenger and society. The thesis firstly analyses general characteristics of transport and furthermore aims in more detail at railway passenger transport. In this part it among other things deals with its history and characteristics including comparison with other transport alternatives. The second part describes agencies and institutions regulating transport companies, legal basis, rights and duties of the operators during the process of entering the rail market and its regulation during the performance of the undertaking given and finally the forms of competition in passenger rail transport. Next chapter is concerned with characteristics of the competitors. In the end the thesis evaluates the influence of competitive environment and argues, whether is the competition in the railway passenger market meaningful.
Consumer protection in rail transport
Hrbáčková, Lucie ; Hásová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Švarc, Zbyněk (referee)
The subject of this bachelor's thesis is consumer protection in rail transport. Its aim is to determine what is the current position of the consumer in rail transport, i.e. which rights and obligations belong to consumers, and based on the established facts confirm the following hypothesis: 1. Current legislative setting in consumer protection in rail transport is sufficient. 2. Competition in rail transport is beneficial for consumers.
Comparing the possibilities of passenger transport on the route Prague – Vienna
Šprojcarová, Simona ; Mervart, Michal (advisor) ; Zeman, Bronislav (referee)
This bachelor thesis aims to compare the possibilities of passenger transport on the Prague - Vienna route. The introductory theoretical part explains basic informations and terms related to transportation. In the second part, different types of transportation are individually described with their advantages and disadvantages being pointed out. The third section contains a list of actual options of the transport between Czech metropolis and Austrian metropolis while also providing basic description of each transport company that offers their services on the route in question. The final part summarizes and compares the travel links in terms of total costs and concludes with the optimal option available. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the possibilities of public transport between Prague and Vienna.
The Analysis of transport companies in international personal rail transportation on relation Kosice - Prague
Tisoň, Martin ; Zelený, Lubomír (advisor) ; Bednář, Josef (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with personal rail transport between the capital of Czech Republic - Prague and the Eastern metropolis of Slovakia - Kosice. It is focused only on this type of transport, which belongs to the most used on given route. More specifically, it is focused on transport companies, who are doing business on this route and on services which they offer to their customers. Examining and comparing these services will provide us with a better sight of transport level and at the same time it will show the competitive fight between these companies. The conclusion of the practical part, will include the evaluation of given services and the status of this type of transport.
