Cable-supported bridge
Kovářová, Marika ; Bezručová, Kristína (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The theme of the thesis is to design a pedestrian bridge over a river. Out of two possible designs, the cable-stayed construction was chosen. The deck of the bridge is designed as a monolithic construction supported by cables from two inclined pylons. Two models were developed for the calculation of internal forces: a strut model for the longitudinal direction and a plate model for the perpendicular direction. These calculations were checked up by Finite Element Method (FEM) in SCIA Engineer 2017 software. Considerable part of the thesis was dedicated to the creation of so-called initial state. The design of the prestressing force and the evaluation of ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state was made in accordance with the codes currently in force. Small part of the theses is dedicated to the verification of the load bearing capacity of the pylon on the combination of normal force and bending moment with a subsequent verification in the software IDEA StatiCa9. The pedestrian bridge of 64,150 m length is considered as a perpendicular.
Pedestrian Footbridge across the Dyje River in Břeclav
Pham, Hoang Anh ; Melcher, Jindřich (referee) ; Karmazínová, Marcela (advisor)
This thesis deals with structural design of a steel frame footbridge with wheelchair access, which will lead pedestrian and cyclists‘ traffic over the river Thaya in Břeclav. The footbridge is a structure of one field, lightness of a bridge opening is 58,92 m and a span length is 60,25 m. A light width of an area between rails is 2,5 m. The footbridge is constructed of a truss beam cable – stayed bridge on an oblique pylon of 20,0 m length and a preloaded steel suspender. The thesis was processed according to valid standards ČSN EN.
Static analysis of cable
Pőthe, Péter ; Kytýr, Jiří (referee) ; Vlk, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the static analysis of suspension cables of the suspension footbridge. The processing was done as a manual calculation as using the program system RFEM for a static finite element method from company Dlubal. The task was to determine the geometric shape of cables and the real position of suspenders, which we get after the construction of the bridge. The results were then compared with each other.
Plan curved cable stayed pedestrian bridge
Müller, Radek ; Kaláb,, Pavel (referee) ; Koláček, Jan (advisor)
In my thesis, I created a study of plan curved cable stayed pedestrian bridge. As the main construction material is used prestressed concrete. Suspenders and railing are made from steel. The footbridge has a length of 130,00 meters and a width of 3,70 meters. The plan shape of the structure is composed of two oposite arches. Bridge deck is made of box girder. The bridge deck is single-side suspended on two concrete pylons with a height of 39,00 m. Pylons are supported by suspender.
Steel footbridge in Černotín
Kelar, Petr ; Štrba, Michal (referee) ; Barnat, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deal with structural design of steel footbridge for pedestrians and cyclist over the Bečva river in Černotín village. Span of the footbridge is 50 m. The basic material is steel S355 and S460. At the beginning were created two variants. First one is an arched footbridge and the second one is cable stayed footbridge. After evaluation variants was selected the cable stayed footbridge. The selected variant was assessed in detail including joints and bearings. Structure is designed in compliance with valid standards of ČSN EN and corresponds with ultimate and serviceability limit state. For structural design was used software RFEM 5.17.01 of Dlubal company.
One span cable-supported bridge
Kučerka, Ján ; Koláček, Jan (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The theme of this bachelor thesis is the design of a footbridge across the river. The design is processed by two options. The chosen option is designed as a cable-stayed construction supported by cables. Bridge is designed as perpendicular with total length 66,225m. Superstructure is made by prestressed monolithic deck suspended by cables from sloping pylon. Considerable part of the thesis is devoted to creating a so-called initial state. The calculation of internal forces was done by calculation software Scia Engineer 2018. The design of prestressing force, assessment of ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state were done by hand according to the valid standards and regulations. Bearing capacity assessment of pylon was solved by IDEA StatiCa 9 software and some results were verified by hand. The thesis disregards rheological effects and stages of construction.
Pedestrian Bridge
Hibš, Daniel ; Kocourek,, Petr (referee) ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a new bridge construction over a multi-lane communication. The converted road is a pedestrian and biking trail connecting significant agglomerations. Three studies were worked out in this thesis and the C variant was selected for further detailed processing. It is an unsymmetrical suspended bridge with a cast-in-place deck. In the section above the communication, the bridge is made up of prefabricated segments. Suspension of the structure is made of two sloping pylons forming a V-shape. The analysis of the construction was carried out in the MIDAS Civil program, where a complete model of construction was entered, including a subsequent estacade. The model describes the construction process and includes creep and shrinkage of the concrete. The traffic, temperature and wind loads were used. The design was assessed for the ultimate limit states and serviceability limit states. The assessment was carried out in the IDEA StatiCa program, supplemented by manual calculations. The static calculations also include assessment of the harmonic response. Subsequently, overview drawings, detailed drawings and visualizations were developed.
Footbridge across the expressway
Páleník, Petr ; Kocourek, Petr (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is a design of the pedestrian bridge across the highway. The bridge is formed by a slab structure of 6 spans with lenghts from 9 to 51 m. The main spans are suspended on a V shape pylon. The deck of the span across the highway is assambled of precast segments and composite deck slab. The deck is in the lenghtways kept in the parabolic arch. The model of the construction is made in software ANSYS, the solution was done non-linear. The design and assessment are according to the europien standard.
Suspension footbridge across the river
Chumová, Petra ; Bartoň, Jaroslav (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is to design a suspension footbridge over a river basin. Three different studies were created for the assigned problem. The suspension footbridge was chosen for the thorough elaboration. The most important part of the thesis is the static solution of the supporting structure. The structure model for calculation of impacts of selected strains including the impact of the footbridge construction was created in computational software Ansys. Assessment and dimensioning was carried out using manual calculation according the principles of limit states and applicable standards.
Airport Terminal
Fojtík, Petr ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Pilgr, Milan (advisor)
My diploma thesis is focused on design and assessment of structural system of airport terminal. The design is processed in two options. Both of them has the same dimensions but structural system is changed. Floor plan is in the shape of part of annulus. Width of the hall is changing, in the middle of the hall is aproximatly 90 m. Length is 52,5 m, 10 m of this length is porch. Roof slope is 3° towards to the front of the hall.
