Use of descriptors for evaluating the input and output knowledge and skills in elementary school students

Bachelor thesis "Using descriptors for evaluation of the input and output of knowledge and skills of 2nd grade elementary school students" deals with the evaluation and effectiveness of primary prevention, which is performed by non-profit organization Semiramis z.ú. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is devoted to the concepts of primary prevention, program evaluation, minimal preventive program, the target groups of primary prevention and social skills. The second part deals with the research itself and creation of the descriptors (questionnaires), which are used in the research. Descriptors measure the knowledge and skills of students before and immediately after the block. On the basis of acquired data and mutual comparison with the results recorded by teachers of primary prevention, I find that performed primary prevention programs are effective.
Bullying from the view of teachers and pupils in the chosen basic school

Title: Bullying from the viewpoint of teachers and students at the selected elementary school. Abstract: This paper presents views and observations on the subject of bullying from the viewpoint of teachers and students of the second level of a selected elementary school in Prague 6. The theoretical section contains definition of basic terms. Organisation of the selected school in Prague 6 is described. Research forms a major part of the Thesis. Surveys were carried out by means of questionnaires, observations and interviews. Results show a positive climate at the school created by teachers. Agressive behaviour is not overlooked and is dealt with by each teacher individually. The elementary school cooperates with a citizens group Prev-centrum which prepares preventive programs for individual classes. Bullying does take place at the school but at a much lower level than presented by media and what is common at some other elementary schools. Attitudes to Smoking Prevention

Synopsis The subject of the bachelor thesis "Attitudes to smoking prevention" is the analysis of attitudes of secondary medical schools in Prague and of their students towards preventing smoking. The first part of the thesis summarizes the historical and contemporary view on the subject of smoking from a general standpoint and it emphasizes the negative effect of smoking on the human organism. The thesis also mentions preventative measures and health programs. The second part is based on my own research and it contains a comparison of two secondary medical schools and also an analysis of said research. Here I deal with the view of students on the issue of smoking in particular and list my own practical suggestions.
Prevention programmes against cyber-bullying in the Czech rep.

The subject of my bachelor work is cyber bullying as one of forms classic bullying and theoretical and practical prevention of this phenomenon. This work focus mainly on a way, in which is this new form of bullying solved and what programmes are existing in the Czech republic specifically to prevent cyberbullying. These programmes are evaluated. The bachelor work contains definition of the term cyberbullying in wider understanding - At first the work focuses on classic bullying, then the role of cyberspace in social interaction. Another basic theory for my work is theory of evaluation. Next part of the work is definition of the term cyberbullying as a social problem. This part includes forms and instruments of cyberbullying. I also pay attention on specific cases of cyberbullying in the Czech republic and abroad. Further there are researches and legislation about this topic in the Czech republic and abroad. The next part focuses on prevention of cyberbullying in our country - advices for stakeholders (children, parents, teachers) dealing with social patological phenomena. Bullying prevention in primary school

The master's thesis is devoted to bullying prevention with a focus on primary school pupils. It has both theoretical and empirical character. The theoretical part provides a deeper insight into the issue of bullying clarifies relationships among its actors and the displays of bullying while focusing on types of pupils'aggression. It further provides knowledge of developmental psychology. The bullying prevention part is divided into a sub-part, which teachers can use at class level, and a sub-part, which schools implement at the level of school education programme. At the end the preventive programmes for primary school pupils and organizations which provide primary prevention are described. The empirical part comprises a research conducted using Korthagen's "Spiral of Professional Development". A "Cats'Garden" preventive programme was implemented in the second grade classes of a primary school. After the implementation, a detailed reflection was carried out, in which the basic aspects were evaluated and the alternative options were suggested. Problems of rating disorders from the perspective of pedagogice workers

The bachelor thesis focuses on eating disorders and their prevention in school facilities. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part summarizes the information about eating disorders obtained from the literature, which is related to the issue in order to provide a comprehensive idea of this serious disease. It therefore includes diagnosis, prevalence and incidence in the Czech Republic, etiology, health complications, therapy and prevention of this risky behavior. The practical part is based on a research survey at the elementary schools in Prague using the method of a questionnaire survey among teachers and interviews with prevention methodologies. The aim of the research is to find out how the issue of eating disorders is currently perceived by the teachers themselves and how they evaluate the prevention of eating disorders implemented at their school. The evaluated results show that eating disorders are rather a marginal topic of prevention in school facilities. Although the respondents themselves consider this issue to be topical. The Benefits of Preventive Programs of Drugs Addiction in the Eyes of social workers in Low-threshold Clubs

Bachelor thesis is focused on prevention programs in area of drug addiction from the low- threshold social workers point of view. Thesis describes a characteristics of low-threshold facilities, their rules and definition of target group. Furthermore, there are sections talking about addictive substances and addiction syndrome, which characterize the effects of a physical and psychological addiction. The thesis analyses the addictive substances using by adolescents. Theoretical part ends with the prevention of a socio-pathological phenomena in society, prevention programs and precautions in low-threshold facilities. Theoretical part is followed by the practical part in which the qualitative research is described and selection of respondents is characterized. Here are the answers for partial questions that led to answering the main research question and also the data analysis. Practical part ends with description of prevention programs benefits in the area of drug addiction from the low-threshold social worker point of view.
Expressions of adolescent risk behavior and possibilities if its prevention

This diploma thesis deals with risk behaviour of adolescents and possibilities of its prevention by means of prevention. The aim of the thesis is to identify and map the most common forms of risk behaviour, which occurs in the age cohort of 18-19 years, i.e. at the threshold of adulthood, among high school students (from their point of view). The thesis also deals with the possibilities of prevention of this behaviour provided within the area of preventive work (from the perspective of prevention methodologists). Using the form of multiple case studies, the thesis uses both quantitative research methods, which comprise structured questionnaires for pupils of selected secondary schools from the same urban area, as well as qualitative, which represent semi-structured interviews with prevention methodologists. The theoretical part of the thesis, based on relatively extensive literature available, characterizes the developmental period of adolescence, socialization of the child, presents a summary of the usual types of risk behaviour of adolescents and describes the system of prevention. Boarding of second grade elementary schools in Pilsen region

The diploma thesis deals with eating habits of pupils of the 2nd grade of elementary school located in the Pilsen region. The results of the research are evaluated in terms of healthy diet of pupils. The eating habits of children in the school environment are strongly influenced by several determinantsthat are discussed in the work. The aim of the thesis was to map the eating habits of children at the second grade of elementary school and to suggest possibilities that the school could use to support healthy school meals for its pupils and thus to influence the healthy lifestyle. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the state's attitude to the protection and promotion of health and disease prevention through the basic document Národní strategie ochrany a podpory zdraví a prevenci nemocí Zdraví 2020. Emphasis is placed on the state's attitude to healthy school meals through laws, decrees, standards and elaborated the national strategy.
