Linear motor modeling and identification
Cimburek, Václav ; Veselý, Libor (referee) ; Václavek, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the creation of a model of a synchronous linear motor with permanent magnets, parameter identification and model visualization. The model includes variable inductances of d and q windings and variable motor force constant. A cascade control using P and PI controllers and dynamic decoupling is implemented to control the model. The whole system is simulated in the Simulink environment. In conclusion are evaluated the factors that may cause inaccuracies and improvements that could be done.
Automotive Electric Motors Analysis and Innovation
Vala, Tomáš ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Electric drives used in automotive industry are often based on standard DC motor as it is widely recognised as mature and reliable technology. The most common applications of DC motors in automotive industry are starters and wind screen wiper motors. Aim of this thesis is to provide design overview of typical automotive DC motor therefore main parts and features of the machine will be described in detail. Main disadvantage of DC motor is „sliding contact“ between commutator and carbon brushes which introduces source of electromagnetic disturbance and requires regular maintenance. Within this project different aspects of DC motor design and innovation are expected to be tackled including examples of loss calculation.
Ejection mechanism automotive starter pinion
Sláma, Miloslav ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
The thesis describes ways ejection pinions automotive starter and evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of each solution. The first chapter deals with the principle of operation of DC motors and starters parameters. In the second part, the individual systems are theoretically discussed in terms of design and their advantages and disadvantages. The third part is focused on the most common system, which is analyzed in terms of mechanical and electrical reliability. The last point of the work is to design an experimental analysis Reach starter pinion.
Modeling and simulation of EC motor vector control in Simulink environment
Hořava, Jan ; Szabó, István (referee) ; Toman, Jiří (advisor)
The main goal of my work is the electrically commutated motor with the vector control’s application in the environment of Matlab – Simulink. The theoretical preamble of this document is dedicated to the physical construction of the EC motors. The most common methods are described in the following text – namely it is scalar control, direct torque control and vector control. The conclusion of this work includes the description and analyse of the single parts of a created model of concrete EC motor with the vector control, and simulations results’ evaluation.
DC motors for general purposes.
Randa, Daniel ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
This work deals with innovation DC permanent magnet motor for low power. The work is divided into three tasks. The first part is to survey serially produced DC motors. The second part is to choose one particular DC motor drawn from the survey and carry out its analysis and detailed description. The last part is to design innovations to selected DC motor.
Design of PMSG for micro hydro power plant
Skurka, Tomáš ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (referee) ; Huzlík, Rostislav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with a design and simulation of various implementation of the synchronous generator for a low-speed waterwheel. The construction of the generator was implemented as the radial synchronous generator with the permanent magnets on the rotor’s surface. In the introduction the reader gets familiar with the theory describing the construction of the synchronous generator with the permanent magnets intended for the small hydroelectric power plants. Within the thesis the author shows his own design of the generator and the optimization using the genetic algorithm. Next, three proposals with the predefined sheets are presented. Every single proposition of the generator was simulated in the software ANSYS Maxwell. Finally, the heat calculation was made for the certain designed variations of the generator.
Electromagnetic model of a line-start synchronous machine
Lípa, Miroslav ; Lolová, Iveta (referee) ; Bárta, Jan (advisor)
The main goal of the work was to compare two effective methods used for calculating the electric machine. The primary method uses an electromagnetic model made of a resistance network, which is compared to a finite element method using an Ansys Maxwell environment. The resistance network is calculated in the Python programming language. The work deals with a synchronous machine with permanent magnets that can be run directly from the source, because it contains the squirrel cage. Thus, at steady state, the machine achieves greater efficiency than the asynchronous machine. The first chapter describes the basic principles of a line-start synchronous machines, the second chapter shows the ways in which electrical machines can be modelled. The third chapter describes the derivation of the resistance network for the assigned machine, the whole electromagnetic design is given here. The fourth chapter shows the gradual calculation, describing the simplifications and problems that have arisen, it also shows a comparison with the finite element method.
Analysis of concentrated windings of PMSM
Menoušek, Lukáš ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design, principles of permanent magnet synchronous machines and an analysis of their properties. As part of the work is done familiarization with the materials of permanent magnets and their arrangement, as well as construction of the engine where they are discussed types of winding machine configuration, types of motors with permanent magnets and the list of implemented solutions. In the next part of this work is performed analytical calculation of the two types of engines, with concentrated winding, created models based on calculations in FEMM focusing on the creation of spatial harmonics. Further the model in RMxprt and data from the simulations were compared with analytical computation. Finally the model was created in Maxwell and compared with the analytical results of calculation and simulation in RMxprt program. For this model was created analysis of losses in permanent magnets.
Design of 3 MW high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor
Bořil, Michal ; Bárta, Jan (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis theme is the design of 3 MW high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor. The work is divided into several parts, and contains the information given on the topic. The first part lists trends and new technologies of high-speed electric machines, and the issues and construction of high-speed synchronous machines are also listed here. In the second part, the machine is analytically designed from the specified values, which is then modelled in the RMxprt program. In the penultimate part, the engine is simulated by programs that are included in the ANSYS Electronics Desktop package, they are RMxprt and Maxwell. The modified engine model in RMxprt is simulated using defined formulas and then converted to Maxwell 2D, where the engine is simulated using the finite element method. In the last part, the results from the analytical calculation are compared with other high-speed machines. In addition, the results of simulations from RMxprt and Maxwell were compared in the last part.
Design of synchronous spoke motor
Kopecký, Jan ; Bulín, Tomáš (referee) ; Knebl, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis is focused mainly on the theoretical research of permanent magnet synchronous motors. In addition, various methods of designing the motor‘s magnetic circuit are discussed and their advantages and disadvantages are compared. The reluctance network method is analyzed more thorough, because this method is used for motor designing process. In the last part the results obtained by reluctance network are compared with the results evaluated by finite element method.
