Question as a part of pedagogical communication

This diploma thesis deals with a question as a part of educational communication. The aim of the thesis is to analyze educational dialogue at primary school with an emphasis on the function, frequency and type of teachers' and pupils' questions. The first part of the thesis explores the theoretical background of function, frequency and typology of questions. It involves also the topic of the waiting time after asking a question, identifying the pupil who should answer, the quality of pupil's answer as well as teacher's response to it. The theoretical background is complemented by research based on analyses of three video records of lessons and interviews with teachers. One of the key findings of the research is that teacher's style of questioning is determined by his conception of teaching and the aims set.
Teacher Interaction Style in Connection with His Work with the Key Competence for Learning

The aim of this master thesis is to discover correlation trends between teacher interaction style and his extent of providing opportunities for teaching how to learn. According to the results the aim is to create a prototype of the teacher interaction style, who has got the best dispositions to provide opportunities for teaching how to learn. The first and the second chapter deal with theoretical basis. Key competences, especially key competence for learning are depicted in the first chapter. The second chapter focuses on a topic of pedagogical communication and interaction and it is concluded with a discussion of the interaction style of the teacher. All the details on this research are described in the third chapter. The methodology is topped with the results, discussions and the overall finish. At the end of the work the bibliographic references, attachments, lists of figures and tables are revealed.
Communication and cooperation between teacher and families focusing on distance teaching at primary school

The master thesis deal with communication and cooperation between teachers and families on the first grade of elementary school follow up distance learning during state of emergency. It is about types of communication and cooperation between teachers and families which are used and also about pros and cons of distance learning or crucial conditions for distance learning. Theoretical part of the thesis deal with basic knowledges of communication, communication channels and barriers. One of the chapters is about pedagogical communication. Next chapters are focused on cooperation between school and family, especially on expectation from each sides and roles of parents connected to school. Defines topics about teacher, family, distance learning or e-learning. Empiric part of the thesis focused on used types of communication and cooperation between teachers, parents and students, pros and cons of distance learning and crucial conditions for distance learning. Data was obtained with two research methods, the first is quantitative questionnaire and the second is qualitative interview with the teachers. Nonverbal communication in the pedagogical communication

This thesis aims to draw the attention of teachers throughout different grades to a number of nonverbal phenomena that occur (mostly subconsciously) during didactic communication, not only amid students and teachers but amongst classmates, as well. This treatise transfigures scientific research in the fields of nonverbal communication and business into a didactic environment. By describing the many nonverbal phenomena, the teacher can envision what is behind the nonverbal signals that the students emit and what signals he transmits back. As a result of the knowledge acquired on nonverbal communication in didactic communication, the teacher can intentionally improve his own relationship with students and amid classmates, as well as the bond between students and the given subject, which can contribute to greater joy in the process of learning for both students and teachers. The teacher may apply the knowledge from this paper when interacting with parents or colleagues, as well.
Personality of a Teacher in Students' Perception

The Master thesis with the name "Personality of a Teacher in Students' Perception" is divided into two parts - a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters. The first chapter focuses on the personality of a teacher. It describes some typologies of a teacher's personality, individual stages of the teaching profession and selected factors influencing the teacher's personality. The second chapter describes the role of a teacher, the content of his work, and the occupational load which is connected to the teaching profession. Further, it addresses teachers dealing with the burnout syndrome. The third chapter briefly presents the topic of pedagogical communication and the Pygmalion effect. The fourth chapter examines the student - teacher relationship. It aims to describe the characteristics and the significance of this relationship, by which factors it is influenced and what a pedagogue can do for a good relationship. Changes of communication among schools and families due to online technologies

This bachelor thesis is focused on mapping of the changes in communication between schools, students and/or families, caused by the influence of online technologies, which are an integral part of today's reality of study at all school levels. I focused mainly on primary school teachers. I carried out a multiple case study based on semi-structured in-depth interviews conducted with selected teachers. In my case study, I dealt with the issue of which online communication instrument are used by different primary schools between teachers and students or between teachers and families of their students. Apart from introducing and describing ways of using these icts, I also focused on the pros and cons that these technologies bring with them from the perspective of teachers and the changes they have to make. I have found out which technologies are teachers using, which changes it has brought to them, and how they see further developments. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the analysis of various instruments of communication, both classical and online, between school, students and/or their families.
Non-verbal communication and teacher

This thesis, which is divided into two parts, deals with non-verbal means of communication in teaching practice. In the theoretical part there is a summary of themes such as communication, verbal, nonverbal communication and pedagogical communication. Emphasis is put to sub-themes of nonverbal communication, which are facial expressions, gestures, eye contact, kinesics, postures, proxemics, haptics, para-language and physical appearance/environments. In the practical part there is a presentation of the analysis of chosen samples of video recordings, which is focused on mentioned sub-themes of nonverbal communication. The value of these is stressed in process of teaching, too.
