Influence of adhesive layer on the mechanical behavior of PP+ inorganic filler composite.
Švestková, Dana ; Krčma, František (referee) ; Nezbedová, Eva (advisor)
The diploma thesis was dealt with the study of system PP and particular filler, specifically PPH and like a filler was used commercially available CaCO3 (SOCAL P3). This type of filler is declared by the producer as a filler without surface treatment. The submitted thesis had a goal to find and testing the suitable method and methodology for defined surface treatment of the filler. This is the first step for systematic study of influence the various types of adhesive layer on mechanical properties of declared composite. The plasma discharge behind static pressure was used for the surface treatment of the fillers. These fillers were afterwards analyzed by using of sedimentation analysis, infra - red spectroscopy (FT-IR) and scan electron microscopy (SEM). The composites with various volume part of the fillers were prepared in PIB and studied by short-time tests. Regarding to experimental demand there wasn't possible to realize the whole originally intended program i. e. study of influence the different types of adhesive layer, including to form the model for FEM approach. Nevertheless finding and testing the suitable method of surface treatment is completely basic for the others study. The above mentioned method was used in this application for the first time and it is possible to consider this process like an original approach.
Dust separators for small power boilers
Szweda, Martin ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part of this thesis contains research on pollutants, separators and its legislation, while this part is focused on dust particles and their separation behavior. This is followed by a search on the different types of separators that can be used for small power boilers. The second part is followed by an experimental part, where the practical efficiency of the given separator is verified and then the measured values are compared and the result is evaluated. The results are used to determine whether the separator used is suitable for the separation of biomass for low-power boilers.
Natural biomass burning and character of emissions of these processes
Maňo, Martin ; Köbölová, Klaudia (referee) ; Chýlek, Radomír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of emissions from natural biomass fires. Emphasis will be placed on aerosol emissions that occur during these natural phenomena. The introduction will discuss in general the natural fires of biomass in the world and their impacts. The next part of the work will investigate the factors that affect the composition, size and composition of aerosols, as well as their impact on living organisms and the environment. Methods will also be described for determining whether an aerosol trapped in the environment is of anthropogenic or natural origin. In the last part, the author will deal with the analysis of data from the measurement of real biomass combustion, in which he will participate

Beside the practical examples, this paper includes necessary theoretical explanation of particular problems. After reading this paper, the reader should be well acquainted with the compact process of creating the complex animation.
Particle Systems
Synáček, Jan ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Juránek, Roman (advisor)
The subject matter of this work is a concept and implementation of an extension of Particle Systems API. The extension provides a means by which it is possible to split a 3D model defined by its boundary representation into pieces with a geometric plane and render them using the particle system being extended. Because all particles are represented as point mass, the existing particle system is also extended to provide a way of representing its particles by their volume. Furthermore, a simple game is created to demonstrate the extension.
Analysis of ash from fireplace
Drápela, Jakub ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Hrnčířová, Michaela (advisor)
This bachelor thesis should familiarize readers with the size of analysis of ashes of fireplace inset. The work is posssible to divide into two parts, when the first one is devoted to a description of fireplace insets, fuels and subsequent processes during burning in fireplace insets and to individual methods used for size analysis of particles. The other part is focused on practical measurements of individual samples of ashes and subsequent evaluation.
Synthesis of bioceramic materials based on hydroxyapatite
Kočicová, Pavla ; Králová, Marcela (referee) ; Částková, Klára (advisor)
The thesis deals with the precipitation synthesis of nanoparticle hydroxyapatite with goal to study the influence of reaction conditions on the morphology of the particles. The theoretical part is focused on biomaterials, bioceramics and phosphates characterization. Further the work is focused on hydroxyapatite, its characteristics and possible synthesis in particular. The synthesis of hydroxyapatite precipitation is described in the experimental part. Syntheses were performed at a reaction temperature of 0-80 °C at pH = 8-11, at the aging time of 0-24 h, in the presence of surfactant and the chelating agent and with the post-precipitation hydrothermal or ultrasonic treatment. For characterization of the prepared powders, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), laser diffraction (LD) and the analysis of the specific surface area (BET) were used. Pure hydroxyapatite powders or a mixture of hydroxyapatite and tricalcium phosphate were prepared by precipitation syntheses. HA particle morphology was strongly affected by the reaction temperature – with increasing temperature the larger particles with a clearer morphology were formed, mostly in the rod shape. Postprecipitation hydrothermal treatment had a significant influence on the morphology of HA particles – it caused the formation of spherical or slightly elongated particles. The reaction medium of water/ethanol significantly affected the particle morphology – it inhibited the particle growth.
Encapsulation of some enzymes into organic particles
Hazuchová, Eva ; Obruča, Stanislav (referee) ; Márová, Ivana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on encapsulation of some enzymes into organic particles. The theoretical part is aimed to enzymes, their general characteristics, structure, activity and use, and to encapsulation techniques. Some methods used for analysis of particles, namely the determination of the distribution of particle size using dynamic light scattering, and determining the stability of the particles by the zeta potential, are described too. The experimental part describes methods of preparing particles, methods of determining the encapsulation efficiency and methods for determining particle size and stability. During the experiment part four types of enzymes were encapsulated, partly by manual preparation and partly by encapsulator. Encapsulation efficiency, size and stability of prepared particles were determined too. The particles were exposed to artificial intestinal, gastric and bile juices, as well as the effect of model foods. Subsequently, their long-term stability was observed.
Particle Module for GPUEngine
Sobol, Jan ; Chlubna, Tomáš (referee) ; Starka, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to implement a particle module that will be extending the GPUEngine graphic toolkit. Particle module is an interface, used for creating particle systems. The module is designed as a complex of extendable classes, to which an user adds his own implementation. This thesis analyses realization techniques of particle systems. It covers the way of preserving data, from which the techniques Array of Structures and Structure of Arrays are implemented. The thesis deals with differences between particle system simulation from CPU and simulation from GPU, it provides tools for these simulations. The result of this thesis is a reusable library, allowing the creation of particle systems, made not only for typical visual use, known from the computer games, but also for simulations and procedural modeling. Demonstrational app with representative particle systems, prepared in advance, is included too.
Fine particles and air-cleaning
Knebl, Viktor ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Poláčik, Ján (advisor)
The air, water or soil pollution is one of the major problem facing our society. Whether it is the production of large amount of greenhouse gases or contamination of soil and water by various types of chemicals. This bachelor thesis focuses on fine particles, which are mainly responsible for air pollution. The aim of this work is to create an overview of formation and distribution of these particles, to point out the impact of these particles on human organism and, last but not least, to show possibilities how to reduce the production of these particles or how to clean air from them.
