Outdoor Activities for People with Disabilities

Title: Outdoor Activities for People with Disabilities Aims: The aim of the thesis is to prepare an argumentation for creating a professional centre offering outdoor activities to people with disabilities; to explore current situation within the field of outdoor activities; to assess the interest of workers in the field of education of people with disabilities in services provided by outdoor centres for people with disabilities; to assess the interest of people with disabilities in services provided by outdoor centres for people with disabilities. Methods: The principal method of this work is a quantitative research by means of non-standard questionnaire distributed to people with disabilities and to professional workers and organizations engaged in education of people with disabilities. Results: Based on a survey of publicly accessible information there was compiled an up-to-date list of organizations and centres engaged in providing outdoor activities for people with disabilities in the Czech Republic. How the environment of kindergartens affects the quality of outdoor play

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of outdoor games in the school gardens of kindergartens. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe and compare the level of school gardens in our conditions, including the proposal to streamline their function, especially with regard to ensuring the quality of outdoor play in the form of a suitable and stimulating environment. First, the theoretical part deals with the historical development of outdoor games and changes in school gardens and the importance of preschool child. The next chapter outlines factors and risks that can affect the quality of outdoor games in the school gardens. These include not only legal educational, security and hygiene areas, but also other external and internal conditions, which may be the influence of the Kindergarten and cooperation with the founder, attitude of teachers, parents, or also the responsibility of children. The follow-up chapter offers an inspiring preview to a foreign educational pedagogical approach and the last chapters are devoted to information on foundations, grants and inspirations, which can be used for the planned adjustment of the school gardens. Design outdoorového bydlení

The target of this work is to design a tarp for sleeping in the nature. First part of the work is explaining all the subjects that relates to the theme. These gained knowledges are used in designing process, wich leads to 3D model. In second part is shown how autor got to result. Technical and aesthetical aspects are key for the product. The goal is to make unique design of tarp, wich can be used with serial made hammocks for outdoor living.

Stack of outdoor games for teambuilding events

Title: Stack of outdoor games for cooperation development Goals: The goal of this work is create stack of outdoor games for teambuilding events and tourist courses of universities for immediate use. Methods: Based on the literature search and personal experience, the criteria for selecting games were determined and processed into a well-arranged stack. Individual games were created on the basis of the following criteria: selection of games focused primarily on team cooperation and development of group processes (communication, team management), environment (outdoor, nature), number of players (5-10), time consuming of the game itself (10-20 minutes). Results: Creating a stack of ten different types of games aimed at developing teams useful for teambuilding events. The result is a presentation and specification of games and activities suitable for this type of events. Conclusion: The contribution of this work is a stack of games usable especially for instructors and organizers of teambuilding and other events focused on team development. Title: Organization and composition of outdoor program for the open air schools Objectives: Main objective of this thesis is to compose suitable outdoor program for open air schools for children groups within age 6 to 10. The goal of this new program is more efficient use of time during open air schools with focus on development of abilities, skills, physical and psychical strength, communication among children and social interaction. Methods: In this thesis will be used quantitative research method, written questioning method. Acquired data analysis will be used as background for development of outdoor program for open air schools for children groups within age 6 to 10. Outcome: Benefit of this thesis will be development of new outdoor program for open air schools for children groups within age 6 to 10 which will be passed on to travel agency offering this kind of programs. Sports and Leisure Centre Brno

The theme of the dissertation titled the Centre of Sport and Leisure Time in Brno is a design of a relaxing and sport site „Centrum Lužánky“. The subject of this project is architectonic-city-planning study, which deals with elaborating a concept of a sport centre behind Lužánky in Brno-Ponava. This dissertation contains details of the facility and the area of the current swimming pool Lužánky. The current state of the facility built in 1979 doesn’t meet requirements of visitors and sportsmen anymore. The main aim of this project is the reconstruction of the current fifty-meter swimming pool, a design of a new swimming pool placed under the ground floor of the current building, which will provide space for organizing international competitions, trainings of professional sportsmen, etc. At the same time the busyness of the current swimming pools would be lowered by building a new indoor and outdoor waterpark, especially for the group of recreational visitors. The attractiveness of the facility will be increased by the newly designed park relaxing area and proposed multipurpose area, used as a sports field in the summer and as an ice ring in the winter. Additional value of the facility is comprised by an indoor and outdoor café and large relaxing area on the roof of the waterpark. The whole area increases the community facility availability by a proposed wide range of services for health, relax and sport. The advantage of the whole concept is the mutual connection of all facilities. The entrance to the area is shortened by a designed pedestrian bridge, accessible from the south and north busy areas. The whole project is enhanced by increased number of new parking places, located particularly along the access road, the street Sportovní, going through a green zone.
