Music as a Significant Means for Speech Cultivation in Pre-School Children

This dissertation of an interdisciplinary character involves music education, music psychology, linguistics and special education. In the theoretical part of the thesis the author explains the term timbre from the musicological and linguistic perspective; characterizes timbre hearing as a musical hearing ability; introduces and compares timbre and phonemic hearing tests; describes the development of musicality and speech of pre-school children from an ontogenetic perspective, and emphasizes hearing atten- tion as a prerequisite for their advancement. The author also characterizes disruption of these abilities and describes reeducation therapies that involve elements of music education and mu- sic therapy. A field study described in the practical part of the thesis has a form of fundamental research and experiment. Research participants were 180 pre-school children. A field study is addressing the relationship between speech and musical manifestations of pre-school children with atypi- cal speech development. The aim of the experiment was to search for the most effective com- bination of music and language education with positive influence on both musicality and speech. Music-movements activities in development of musicality at primary school-aged children

The diploma thesis is devoted to the development of music and musical movement activities at a younger school age. It consists of theoretical and practical part. The first parts acquaints the reader with the characteristics of younger school age and with the somatic- physiological, psychological and social characteristics of this period. It also describes the means that affect the child's musicality. This work lists the basic music-movement activities and their important aspects. The conclusion of this part is focused on expertise publications focusing on piano playing,where the authors in their works use movement elements or musical-movement activities to directly improve the influence of playing the piano. The practical part is based on theoretical knowledge. We chose a pedagogical experiment with the technique of one-group and we used piano compositions fot this purpose. The issue of qualitative research is focused on the connection of piano playing with musical- movement activities. There are objectives, research methods, the subject and its organization described in the research part. Progressive impact of creative intonation on the pupil's musical appreciation development

The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The first part summarizes the theoretical knowledge of musical-psychological categories, which also includes musicality. The next chapter of the theoretical part is also focused on this theme. The last chapter is creativity and its characteristics and specifics in use in primary school. In the practical part was used the method of parallel group technique. Twenty two pupils took part in the experimental teaching and the same number of pupils represented the control group. The respondents were from two 4th grade classes of primary school. Moreover, in the practical part there is an analysis of the results of empirical research, which was realized by collective screening of musicality. Research has shown that pupils developed through creative intonation achieve better musicality than pupils trained in conventional music education. Development of elementary musical skills for pre-school children with the help of the soprano flute playing

The work is focused on children in pre-school age and on development of their musicality through game in the nursery school team. This age group is also briefly described from the physical, mental and emotional point of view. Almost all its chapters include practical exercises at first breathing exercises, then the movement ones with including practising fine motor skills and at the end there are games with fipple flute. These are preceded by a short description of development of this musical instrument starting from its origin up to this day and justification of its use in nursery schools as a possibility to increase the group of Orff musical instruments. This work also introduces some eminent Czech musical teachers (prof. Václav Žilka, prof. PhDr. Eva Jenčková, CSc., Petr Eben, Kvapils, PaeDr. Alena Tichá PhD., Mgr. Zdeněk Šimanovský) and their methodology, that includes besides other things suitable games for the age of 3 - 6. These have also been an inspiration for creating some of our own plays with flute.
The effect of organized music clubs in kindergarten on a child musicality development

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find the individual benefits of musical activities beyond the common educational programme for the development of children's musicality. Another objective is to determine the level of musical abilities in a group of children of pre-school age, namely singing-musical auditive skills, reproductive abilities, rhythmic sensation, tonal sense and musical memory, and to find out how these musical abilities developed between October 2016 and February 2017. In the theoretical part, I describe the individual components of the child's musicality. In addition, I outline the framework conditions for the provision of organized leisure activities in kindergartens. In the end the psychological specifics of the pre-school child in relation to musicality. I will outline the framework conditions for the provision of organized interest activities in kindergartens. In the practical part I test five-year-old children in three kindergartens before the beginning of musical activities. In the last part of the bachelor thesis I diagnose the diference in the change of musical abilities in the group of children attending the musical club and in the group of children who are being developer within the common programme in kindergarten.

Developing creativity of pupil at the primary school through notation software

In today's fast changing world, global development of information and communication technology significantly affects many fields of human activity including music and education. As a result, questions concerning effective using of modern technology in musical education have become a major topic within the pedagogical community. Presented dissertation thesis examines utilization of notation software as a modern teaching tool. The software was specifically used to further improve musical creativity of pupils at secondary school (grades 6 to 9). The very first part of the thesis focuses on research framework, contemporary musical technologies, and available notation software tools. A special attention was drawn to MuseScore software that was used in the research. Last but not least, this part of the thesis outlines vital facts connected with musical creativity field of knowledge. Second part of the thesis is dedicated to author's research and starts with determination of project scope, goals, and basic working hypothesis. The actual research was carried out in several phases with subsequent real-life verification of acquired results. "Who are we for the contemporary French poetry?" The search for identity in the collection La Chute des temps by Bernard Noël

(in English) The diploma thesis "Who are we for the contemporary French poetry?" Searching for identity in poetry collection La Chute des temps by Bernard Noël aims to explore the contemporary - in this case primarily French - poetry. The first part is asking about the causes of poetry decline in sense of readership and popularity of such genre and seeks for an answer to the question what contribution does the poetry reading bring for a contemporary reader. Based on analysis of texts by literary critics, theoreticians and poets, the paper comes to conclusions, which are applied in the second part on the analysis of particular text by French poet Bernard Noël - La Chute des temps. The paper analyses the search for an identity "I" of the author and the reader, the musicality in verses as subconscious signature of the author, the relationship between the body of the poet, the reader and the poem itself and, last but not least, the metaphor of skin as the boundary between the inside and the outside. Structure and Research of Out-Of-School Influences on the Musical Development of the Child

The Diploma Thesis deals with the matters of children's musicality and the main factors influencing it. The thesis includes a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the musicality issue and its structure, as well as on the factors that participate in this matter. Special attention is put to the out-of-school influences on the development of musicality. There is an outline of the influence of a family and its members, characteristics of a contemporary family and a present-day lifestyle. The thesis also deals with a social group influence and the impact of mass media, such as television, computers and the Internet. One of the subchapters is dedicated to the out-of-school artistic interests of children; another one deals with how music around us can act in a form of commercials, or in a store, for example. The practical part of this thesis is formed through a research oriented to the out-of-school influences mentioned above. This research was held at Libčická Primary School, Prague. The research included a questionnaire; the next step was a musical ability test, which later served to the elaboration of case studies of selected children.
