Strength Analysis and Topology optimization of the aircraft landing gear
Baláš, Martin ; Symonov, Volodymyr (referee) ; Šplíchal, Jan (advisor)
This master thesis is about stress analysis of landing gear for accomplishment CS-23 regulation. The first part examines all alternatives of landing gear regarding for accomplishment of regulation. Next part is stress analysis of main and nose landing gear using FEM analysis in MSC Nastran software. Last part of master thesis describes topology optimization of two parts of landing gear.
Shelf stacker for storing pallets in an automatic store
Javůrek, František ; Kozok, Zbigněv (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
Target of the submitted work was a proposal of a new type of shelf stackers in the range from 8 to 36 m that are working in fully automated warehouses. By using a fully automated storage system all human supervision in ordering pallets in a warehouse are canceled and everything is taken over by the control system. These stores are very efficient and save both time and money. With regard to safety requirements, regular inspections should be provided to the system. At the beginning of this work, there was done a short introduction to the particular study including the description of basic parts of the shelf stackers. Consequently, there were done relevant computations for the drag device and its drive, drives for the travel and the finite method was used to the stress analysis of the mast shelf stacker. In the last part of this thesis is done a safety concept.
Design of VUT200 TwinCobra landing gear
Novák, Josef ; Horák, Marek (referee) ; Katrňák, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of following master thesis is to design variety of configuration and retraction options of VUT200 TwinCobra landing gear. For each option are a wheel base and a gauge set up by possibility of main landing gear retraction. Next, CS 23 demands and stress analysis are followed. There is a view of twin engine aircraft landing gear disclosed as well.
Modification of the WT10 aircraft for the fixed landing gear according to the CS-23 requirements
Kubiena, Jaromír ; Juračka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Vaněk, František (advisor)
In this thesis, we deal with the design of a shock absorber variant for the type of main landing gear design of the aircraft WT10 Advantic. Then we focus on the design of the selected variant of the main landing gear. Next, we follow regulation CS-23 demands to calculate the load cases for the selected main lending gear. Then we design shock absorber based on the load during landing. We compile the equation of motion of the aircraft, which describes motion of the aircraft during landing, then we compute the equation. Finally, we focus on a stress analysis of the main landing gear and the shock absorber.
Design of the main landing gear for Zlin 40 aircraft
Dvořáček, Zdeněk ; Jurina, Marek (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the modernization of the main landing gear of the Z 143 LSi aircraft. The main emphasis is placed on optimizing of the landing gear shape and its deformation characteristics. Along with this change, variants made of different materials are examined. The landing load is calculated analytically and the load-bearing capacity of the structure is verified using the numerical FEM method. This work brings a possible replacement of the current chassis, which is production-intensive not only in time and money, but also in terms of cooperation with external companies. The objective is to design a new landing gear and verify the feasibility for the case of future implementation.
A landing gear design for the replica of the Fokker Eindecker III aircraft
Mach, Tomáš ; Šplíchal, Jan (referee) ; Vaněk, František (advisor)
Main goal of bachelor thesis is to design a landing device for historical replica of a plane Fokker Eindecker III. Thesis contains calculation for reaction forces on wheels, conceptional design of a main landing gear and strength analysis of its main parts for a given type of a plane. Hereafter are stated basic types of landing devices and its evaluation.
Structural design and stress analysis of ski landing gear for airplane with short take-off and landing
Hostinský, Vladimír ; Vaněk, František (referee) ; Katrňák, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is a design of a ski landing gear for the STOL Cruiser airplane and strength analysis of its parts with consideration of UL-2 and CS-LSA regulation requirements. First part follows the design process from a concept to detailed design. Decisions taken during the process and reasons behind them are discussed. In second part requirements of regulations for said aircraft’s landing gear are summarized and forces acting on the landing gear are calculated. This calculation is followed by a strength analysis of critical parts. Analysis of composite body of the ski carried out with a use of FEA and optimalization of its composite material layout is presented in a more detailed way.

Landing gear design of two-seat airplane
Čavojský, Tomáš ; Pejchar, Jan (referee) ; Vaněk, František (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the landing gear design of the small two-seat aircraft. The introduction focuses on the conceptual gear design and shock absorber computational dynamic characteristic model. The practical part is focused on the landing gear construction according to the selected parameters based on the conceptual and computational model. The diploma thesis ends with strength calculations and production documentation.
Retractible landing gear design for Z 143 LSi airplane
Gregor, Jiří ; Vaněk, František (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of the replacement the Z 143 LSi landing gear with the new VUT 100 type landing gear in a retractable system. The first part of this thesis is devoted to the description of the Z 143 LSi aircraft and its landing gear and the description of the retractable landing gear type VUT 100. The next part describes the possible variants of the installation the VUT 100 landing gear, which are critically evaluated. Then there is selected the final variant for the installation, which is designed in Catia V5 software. The final design includes remotorization with Lycoming IO-390 and new design of engine bed. For the proposed solution, a new mass analysis with the calculation of centrations, new cases of ground load, a new flight envelope of load and additional cases of load of a new engine bed are prepared. The proposed engine bed is analyzed by the finite element calculation method in the MS Patran software. Finally, a possible scheme of the chassis retraction system is proposed.
