Company Presentation Using Animated Infographics
Zunka, Ondřej ; Skácel, Ondřej (referee) ; Smolíková, Lenka (advisor)
The point of this dissertation is a creation of motion graphics video which functions as an in-depth presentation of Visual Unity services. The output is a video of approx. two minutes in length which the company will make use of as an information basis for prospective clients during international conference participation and other new business initiatives. The result is a functional proposal addressing spectrum of areas throughout the company.
Graphic Engine Based on Entity Component System
Polášek, Tomáš ; Matýšek, Michal (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is the design and implementation of a library for entity management which allows software development using the Entity-Component-System paradigm. Analysis of the current state of software design is presented, including comparison of techniques used for entity representation. Potential advantages of composition are discussed from the hardware point of view, primarily based on the memory hierarchy found in modern computers. Thesis proposes design of an entity system, using the ECS paradigm, which allows dynamic composition of entities during runtime of application from predefined components. The resulting system is designed to allow for easy parallelization of performed actions and user customizability of component data structures. The result of this bachelor thesis is a C++ multi-platform library, named Entropy , which enables its users to design applications using the ECS paradigm.
Medical Data Rendering in Real-Time
Lengyel, Kristián ; Havel, Jiří (referee) ; Jošth, Radovan (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of an application for medical data imaging in real-time. The first part of project is focused on methods for obtaining data in medical practice and visualization of large volume data on computer using familiar rendering approaches. Similar applications are used outside of medicine in other fields, such as chemistry to display molecular structures or microorganisms. Another part of project will focus on benefits of visualization of volumetric data using programmable hardware and new methods of parallelization of algorithms on graphics card using CUDA technology, and OpenCL. The resulting application will display the volume of medical data based on selected method accelerated by programmable shaders, and time-consuming operations will be paralleled on graphics card.
THE TEXTURE
Rabochová, Agáta ; Ptáček, Jiří (referee) ; Kvíčala, Petr (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is a series of paintings. It is based on painting concept of drapery. The history of art is accompanied by drapery almost from the beginning. I´m interested in the variety of aproaches, once the drapery supports the meaning of the painting, once it is the main object of the paintwork. My intention is to paint a series of pantings, which will follow and complement the historic aproach.
Temples
Pokorná, Pavlína ; Horálek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Malý, Břetislav (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis, entitled Temples, consists of a set of paintings that the author perceives metaphorically as personal inner temples. The inspiration for the author was nature, which she considers a temple of its kind. The title of the work comes from the symbolism and artistic typification that are used on Japanese traditional clothing - Kimono. The series of paintings is not only inspired by nature and its motifs, but also freely paraphrases elements from textile design - such as shapes or repetitions.
Prototyping of Photographic Composition Using Augmented Reality
Salát, Marek ; Szentandrási, István (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The thesis deals with an image processing problem called image matting. The problem involves detection of a foreground and background in an image with minimal user interaction using trimaps. Foreground detection is used in image composition. The goal of the thesis is to apply already known algorithms, in this case A Global sampling matting, in an Android application. The most important result is an intuitive application that can be used for making creative viral photos. Agile methodology is applied throughout the whole application development cycle. From the very beginning, the application is publicly available as a minimum viable product on Google play. The work’s contribution is in optimization of the mentioned algorithm for use in mobile devices and parallelization on a GPU, together with a publicly available application.
Computer-Generated Music
Mederly, Peter ; Grézl, František (referee) ; Fapšo, Michal (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is the analysis, design and implementation of a new system, which would be able to generate music in real-time, based on terrain data or any raster image. The thesis deals with history of development of various attempts to formalize musical composition and presents contemporary approaches to its algorithmic creation. Technique of constraint programming is explored as well, because it is suitable also for automatic composition, and it is a part of implemented solution. Application components (interface, generator, music core and sound unit) and their interactions are examined in more detail. All approaches used for generating music are described in depth and, moreover, they are supported by many pictures and practical examples. Musical outputs are tested and results of these tests outline strengths, weaknesses and also inner possibilities of the designed system. Conclusion summarises author's contribution to the field of computer generated music and reveals possible prospects for application usage and its extensions.
Being (in) the landscape
Šrolová, Andrea ; Sendler, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
The another layer of the traditional czech landscape made by man's relation to his landscape. The new lazer of the Jicin area follows the tradition of two other compositions made in the baroque era. I found 7 places / quarries where I desgned several proposals.
The parallel between the concept of work in architecture and music
Lukačovič, Markéta ; Petelen, Ivan (referee) ; Kyselka, Mojmír (referee) ; Koleček, Ivan (referee) ; Drápal, Jaroslav (advisor)
The doctoral thesis preliminary focuses on the comparison of concepts of creation in music and architecture and to explore the connection and possible blending of both arts. The main focus of the dissertation is the research of the parallel between the composition of music and architecture, in their characters, means of composition and methods. The methods of approaching the topic were the analysis's of music and architectural materials such as dedicated books, magazines, internet articles, as well as audio recordings, realisations of architectonic works, printed materials on acoustics, psychology of perception and aesthetics as well as own experience and knowledge in the field of music and architecture and the experiment in composition. Results of the dissertation are theoretical conclusions enlightening the given topic and the practical experiment in the form of the analysis of the music composition and the application of its compositional methods into the architectonic design.
Residential Complex in Brno - Komín
Bělica, Ondřej ; Šmídek, Petr (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
New housing structure contains mezonet double houses and its compositions made of dividing double houses, it makes a space for all four flats. The accent of composition is on the top of hill, this building is made of 10 mezonet flats. Interior is variable and concrete structure is solid part of construction. Interiors are full of dayllight and air.
