The inclusion of non-dairy foods into the infants nutrition is very important period. The infant now needs all the nutritions in the most optional proportion. The inclusion of individuals foodstuffs into the nutritions small children has some rules. Allergenic foodstuffs needs to be classified gradually and with the caution. It's recommended to introduce alergens as soon as possible, later introduction may lead to a higher risk of allergic reaction. The inclusion of foodstuffs or allergens in the child's diet is always advesible to consult with the doctor.
The impact of awareness and professional help on the lenght of exclusive breastfeeding

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of exclusive breastfeeding - especially with the impact of awareness and professional help on the length of exclusive breastfeeding.The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part briefly describes the physiology of lactation,the compositionof breast milk,its comparisonwith infant formula and benefits of breastfeeding for mother and child. It also discusses the principles of successful breastfeeding,breastfeedingtechniques, breastfeedingsupport, the most commonproblems that can occur duringbreastfeeding,andbest practices tomanage them. The practical part was made on the basis of an anonymous questionnaire survey, which took place from December 2021 to March 2022 in 4 pediatric offices in the capital city of Prague and the district of Prague-East. The questionnaire was designedfor mothers of their first-born infants between6 and 12 months of age. A total of 32 respondents took part in the survey. Alberta Infant Motor Scale - Motor Development of Infant from Birth to One Year

Summary: Goals - The purpose of this work is to introduce the Canadian standardized assessment - Alberta Infant Motor Scale (AIMS) to specialists. The test evaluate motor development of infants from birth to the eighteen months of age. Theoretical part - In this part I have summarized the need of standardized assessment for occupational therapists and the importance of early intervention for infants to one year age. The next chapter is about psychomotor development of newborn and infant. The main part is devoted to informations about the assessment AIMS. The last part is dealt with an overview of methods used in the pediatric occupational therapy. Practical part - I used AIMS assessment in practice and then in the form of case study, I have put the results of my testing with practical proposals for occupational therapy intervention.
Infant and toddler nutrition

This bachelor's thesis deals with the subject of infant and toddler nutrition. These stages of child development correspond to the period from birth to age three, and the establishment of healthy nutrition and eating habits is fundamental, because it may have a lifelong impact. The practical part of this thesis aimed to examine the compliance of parents with guidelines on breast-feeding and the introduction of complementary feeding, to determine toddlers' actual intake of calories and macronutrients, and to assess the frequency of consummation and amounts of sweet foods and drinks. Based on this data, it was tested whether the intake of calories, macronutrients and sugar had an influence on the body mass index (BMI) or weight-for-length ratio. The information was collected using a questionnaire filled by parents of 22 children hospitalized in the Department of Paediatrics and Inherited Metabolic Disorders of the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the General University Hospital in Prague. The results showed that the majority of parents followed the guidelines in the length of exclusive breast-feeding and a period of introduction of complementary feeding. Food allergies in infant and toddler age

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of food allergies in infant and toddler age. Theoretical part sums up the newest information about prevelance, which is increasing and food allergies are becoming one of the disease of civilization in 21. century. Next chapter is about the basics of patophysiology and explanation of difference between IgE and non-IgE reactions. Other chapters are focused on diagnostic methods, symptoms and treatment. Next parts deal with the most common food alergens in infant and toddler age, prognosis, risk factors and prevention. The aim of the work was to find out level of parent's knowlodege about the food allergies, what is their main source of the information and incidence of food allergies in children. The select methodology of the work was questionnare survey. The results are that parents don't have enough relevant information about food allergies, they are best informed about recommended lenght of an exclusive breastfeeding and about an appropriate age for an introduction of complementary food. The information are mostly searched on the internet, less from pediatrician. This Bachelor's thesis is concerning itself with the development of food safety in Cambodia and Laos. The thesis is divided into a theoretical, analytical and a projecting part. The theoretical part provides the definitions of basic demographic indicators, di-mensions, food security factors and adequate nourishment. The second part covers ana-lyses of birth rates, infant mortality, food security according to FAO indicators and ba-sic eating habits. The projecting part provides possible solutions based on the obtained information.

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the design of baby scales for medical facilities. The aim is a design with an unique shape that meets the technical, ergonomic and safety requirements associated with weighing children. The work is based on the analysis of the current state of knowledge, the shape fits into the environment of pediatrics. The design guarantees safety for infants, the possibility of comfortable handling of the device and emphasizes aesthetics and visual friendliness.
