Title: The history of development of lower limb prostheses with focus on sport Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the information about the history of development of lower limb prosthesis, in general way and also with the focus on selected sports. Methods: This thesis is mainly a literature review. For this very topic, there was used a method of collecting data out of scientific articles and literature and other publications concentrating on this topic. Results: The result of this thesis is a literature review, which can be used as a source of information, about the development of lower limb prosthesis with the focus on sport and for a general use. Quality of life in patients after vestibular Schwannoma surgery

TVestibular schwannoma is a benign tumor that arises from the Schwann cells of the vestibular nerve. Unilateral hearing loss, tinnitus, facial and trigeminal dysfunction and vertigo are the most common symptoms. Surgical removal of the tumor is one of the treatment modalities of this disease. Surgical excision usually involves the complete vestibular nerve resection and there is also a risk of cochlear and facial nerve lesion. This thesis deals with changes in quality of life in patients after vestibular schwannoma sugery, which are associated with balance deficits, tinnitus and facial palsy.

The bachelor's thesis deals with living of wheelchair users, meeting the requirements of disabled for interior and lastly the suggestion of interior intended fordisabled people. The work consists of two parts. The first one, practical, focuseson the definition of disability, the ergonomic of wheelchair users and their requirement to interior. Other areas are also covered namely organizations helpingdisabled people, living allowances and companies producing suitable furniture. In the practical part three variants of flats are designed which differ in their area. One of those models is further described with its project documentation meeting the requirements of disabled people. The outcome of this bachelor's thesis is the visualization of respective flat using corresponding scale.

In the first part, this bachelor thesis deals with visually impaired people, their division into classes and orientation in space, from which the design of products comes out. This topic was chosen due to the constantly increasing interest of the public in supporting disabled and disadvantaged people. In the second part, reader will find the design of the cabinet, created especially for the blind, based on the amount of informations, collected in research. The Semiotic Analysis of Campaign "chodicilide.cz"

The Social Campaign "chodicilide.cz" of the Foundation Sirius is trying to change the public's access to persons with disabilities. After the previous monitoring, workshops, technical texts they made a creative and media solutions campaign. The campaign is based primarily on humor and provocation. The Campaign created a parallel world where is flying like the natural properties and walking representing persons with disabilities. The thesis will deal with semiotic analysis of media campaigns addressing its second wave toward the target group. The thesis analyzes ways of communication used in the campaign in terms of efficiency to the public. The theoretical part presents the semiotics, the issue of social advertising and the concept of handicap in a context of Czech Republic. The analytical part focuses on the semiotic analysis of media solutions of the second wave of the campaign, specifically the logo of campaign, selected billboards and television spots.
The issue of employing people with disability

In diploma thesis I have focused on employing of people with disability. I am asking what opportunities have disabled people in the labor market. Do they have possibility to join some special education programs to help them find a job? Is gender important in searching a job? Most of this diploma thesis is analytical. It is focused on priorities of the Government of Czech Republic as a member of the European Union. What kind of texts, laws or directives solve the employment people with disability. The analytical part consist of interviews with disabled men and women as well as people from the labor offices. Analysis of the interviews focused on their own experience with disability, perception of gender discrimination and experience with employment. I also introduce and analyze official documents to ensure gender equality in the labor market and documents that provide equality of people with disability in the labor market. Theoretical backround consist of Feminist disability studies as well as Robert McRuer's concept of "compulsory able-bodiedness". An important part is the perception of people with disability. I also describe historical context of this problem.
Family life with handicapped child

Family life with handicapped child The main objective of this thesis is to cover the day-to-day life with mentally handicapped offspring on the threshold of adulthood from the parent's perspective. The intention is to gain an insight into experiences, emotions, and motives of disabled children's parents, for the purpose of clarifying both positive and negative points of life with the handicapped. The main goal is to focus on the following issues - which impact has this life on the parents, how their everyday life is changed, and how their attitudes and perception of themselves has been changed. Another point is to ascertain how different opinions of mothers and fathers are. The thesis consists of two main parts. In the first one, the topic is anchored in the theoretical background. This theoretical part is based on the relevant topics published in specialized reference books. In the second one, it is followed by the analysis and interpretation of two consecutive interviews with the parents. This empirical part is processed by the methods of oral history. It also contains the references to the findings published in bibliography. The conclusion contains methodology analysis and summary of key points describing the life with handicapped child. Analysis of the support for students with special needs in the form of assistance during their studies at the Charles University in Prague

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to analyse assistance services functioning at Charles University in Prague. The results of the analysis should draw attention to strengths and weaknesses of the functioning of the service assistance at Charles University. To detect these weaknesses and strengths, semistructured interviews were used. The students and assistants (who together create this assistance) were interviewed. At the same time, also the employees of the Office for Students with Special Needs which coordinates the service assistance at Charles University were interviewed. For comparison, a similar interview was conducted with the head of the Centre for handicapped students, which provides service assistance at the University of Economics in Prague. These interviews were used to a more detailed insight into the work of assistance services at Charles University. The study analyses the functionality of the service and is attempting to define the needs to help disadvantaged students to balance study conditions. Based on the results of work defines effective form of assistance. The low level of awareness of the service and the related non-systematic underpinning of disadvantaged students and assistants would be the most important weakness to mention. The main goal is to create electric wheelchair with a charakteristic appearance, that will respect user health condition and ergonomic and technical parameters as well.
