Information System for Monitoring and Detecting Black Dumps
Chmelický, Oliver ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis covers the process of reporting black dumps and organizing it`s collection. Platform creates an evidence about these collections and saves it in a database. At the same time thesis analysis and compares existing software solutions with similar purpose. The aim of the platform is to spread an awareness among people and nature lovers. The thesis also tries to show how modern technologies can help to protect environment
High-Quality Visualization of Petri Nets for Publishing Purposes
Bednář, Drahoslav ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This work is trying to solve the problem of graphical visualization of Petri nets in text publications. The aim of the thesis is to create a tool that will simplify generating of Petri nets and at the same time provide a more aesthetic graphical output than existing tools do. A simplex algorithm was used for automatic network layout. The program has both graphical interface and text mode and can cooperate well with existing tools for working with Petri nets, which the text also mentions. The program is able to load a pnml file and produce a usable image in png, pdf, and svg formats.
FITkit Plugin for Visual Studio Code
Chaloupka, Jan ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis aims to design and implement an extension for Visual Studio Code editor. The extension allows students to edit, build, simulate and manage FITkit projects without the need for any additional software. Dedicated server is used to remotely build and simulate FITkit projects.
A Reading Diary Application
Navrátil, Petr ; Podivínský, Jakub (referee) ; Krčma, Martin (advisor)
Development of information technology enables us to take notes of all kind in more comfortable, electronic way than as it was in written form. Improvement can be seen for example in case of reading diaries which were mostly hand-written when we first got in touch with them in elementary school. This Bachelor's thesis is focusing on creating an application suitable for writing a personal reading diary. Application will enable user to fill own literary analysis, track reading time of books or add books to user's individual lists which will represent shelves as known from libraries. Users will be able to share their books and shelves with other users.
Security of Testing Farm Service
Havlín, Jan ; Malinka, Kamil (referee) ; Drga, Jozef (advisor)
This thesis deals with security of Testing Farm Service in Red Hat company. Specifically, it is about unauthorized usage of testing machines for purposes which are not allowed. The need for implementing security measures comes from the fact that users are allowed to run arbitrary code on test machines as the user root.    In the implementation part of the thesis, a monitoring agent was created and deployed to the testing machines of the production environment of the service. This system watches transmitted packets, system resources and configuration. Based on these observations, it creates metrics about the system behavior and sends them over to monitoring server Prometheus.
Strategic Game with Uncertainity
Sova, Michal ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The thesis focuses on creating an autonomous system for the game Scotland Yard by using machine learning method. The problem is solved by algorithm Monte Carlo tree search. Algorithm Monte Carlo tree search was tested against algorithm Alpha-beta. These results showed that Monte Carlo tree search algorithm is operational but win rate of this algorithm is lower than win rate of algorithm Alpha-beta. The resulting system is functional, autonomous and capable of playing the game Scotland Yard on simplified game area. There was an attempt to expand simplified version of the game Scotland Yard. In expanded version algorithm Alpha-beta was not successful because of insufficient computational resources. Algorithm Monte Carlo tree search, on the other hand, was more successful in expanded version.
Manager for Board Games
Kusák, Jiří ; Jurka, Pavel (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main goal of this work is to design and realize an application for managing two programs playing against each other. At the beginning I'm discussing board games (especially their rules) and player's skill rating systems. Then there is short analysis of the actual situation in this area. Fundamental part of the work is the description of the designing and realization of the manager. After that there is short description how to control the application. In the end I'm evaluating achieved results and proposing additional directions for the program development.
Current methods of measuring cognitive abilities
Bílková, Kateřina ; Flegr, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Binter, Jakub (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to present a selection of cognitive ability measurement methods for adults, especially those that can be administered online. These methods are presented in the context of cognitive ability composition concepts on which they are based. The chosen methods include several IQ tests and various online cognitive performance measurement methods. IQ tests represent measures of general intelligence. The IQ tests mentioned in this study are administered individually or in group settings. The online methods have a narrower focus and are mentioned in conjunction with the platforms that offer these methods. The selection of online methods was based on their prevalence in the literature, with an emphasis on the more common ones, in order to collectively cover a broader range of cognitive abilities. The reliability and validity of the methods are discussed.
Book Digitization Management System
Václavek, Lukáš ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This thesis focuses on improving and automating the workflow of document digitization for primarily library institutions, but also other organizations. It analyses the processes of digitization in Moravian Library and deals with the development of a web application to optimize this process. The application will allow users to manage the digitization workflow from a simple environment that allows them to control the necessary scripts. The core of the web application is built using the Python programming language and the Django web framework. The work also includes a secondary application that is implemented using the Go programming language due to the emphasis on the speed of their scripts.
