Control and monitoring unit for optical link station
Ovčáček, Martin ; Kolka, Zdeněk (referee) ; Prokeš, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of Master's thesis "Control and monitoring unit for optical link station" is design of hardware and software of unit, which provides remote control and data transfer through Internet. It is required monitoring and setting analog parameters of optical link station by web service. It includes description of Ethernet and net protocols. The core of unit are microcontroller C8051F120 and ethernet controller CP2200 made by Silicon Laboratories.
Software Defined Home Automation
Stupka, Dominik ; Brejl,, Milan (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis is about development and construction of systems for building automation. At the beginning it´s focused on usage of building automation. Short describe used topology of installation and available systems on the market. The second chapter is about designing of hardware’s elements systems. Then it’s describing control unit Raspberry Pi 3, microprocessors for communication and slave modules. For my thesis I am also engaged in interface communication and designing of I/O systems. The third and fourth chapter is describing software equipment’s of the system. The parts of microprocessor firmware and manner of control logic creating and visualization in control unit module are described in details. Last chapter contains the description of construction of testing module and measuring of system parameters.
Biometrical security system
Tříska, Martin ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with coplete design and implementation of access control system.using biometrical data. System is applicable in smaller applications. The first part contains an small introduction to fingerprint acquiring/processing and also describe selection of a communication interface between terminals and host system including possible ways of embedding into devices. The next part is covered in the practical implementation in terms of both hardware and software.
ECG Signal Transmission via Ethernet
Bayerová, Zuzana ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The semestral thesis describes ECG signal compression methods designed to modify the data for transmission via communication channels. The thesis contains an introduction to Ethernet and explanation of communication in the network. The transport protocols TCP and UDP are discussed in more detail. In the practical part of the thesis was created two separate applications. The first application in the sender's computer opens a text file with the ECG signal. Loaded ECG signal is filtered by cascade of filters to eliminate interference. The resulting signal is displayed. A part of the application is the R wave detection, calculating the length of RR interval and heart rate. The application also allows to compress an ECG signal. ECG signal is sent via Ethernet network via UDP protocol for individual samples. Applications in the recipient's computer receives signal samples from the network. Recieved compressed data is reconstructed. The resulting ECG signal is displayed and there are again detected R waves, the length of RR intervals and sampling frequency are calculated.
Laser diodes controller utilizing AVR microcontroller
Boštík, Jiří ; Šilhavý, Pavel (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and subsequent realization of laser diode control devices. The circuit will be able to control the diode with using a laser driver, via a computer network or via the display for control current values, setting of initial values and more. The device will be connected also with a SD card for saving of settings. In the theoretical part there are described individual components that are needed for functionality of the device. The practical part contains a block diagram, in which is described complete feature of the device, then a draft scheme with a description of all integrated circuits and important components. At the end of this work is described the software that controls the entire designed device.
Remote WakeOnLan
Pitner, Ivo ; Kaštil, Jan (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with construction of an embedded system with remote access, whitch controls computers in the same network in order to reduce their energy consumption. For this purpose is used the WakeOnLAN technique. The device also uses two power components called SSR and  these are used for switching AC power to them attached appliances. The work discusses the TCP/IP architecture, system design and finally the firmware implementation.
Flat monitoring system
Ďurík, Maroš ; Fiedler, Petr (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
Thesis deals with flat monitoring system that measures basic parameters like temperature and humidity, power energy consumption in kWh, leakage of natural gas, lighting and power failure. This Device communicate with user trough the Ethernet protocol and include simple WWW server where measuring data are shown.
Network Infrastructure Design for the Family House
Růžička, Daniel ; Štěpánek, Jan (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design house computer network. The default aspects are plans to house and client requirements. In the work described scheme and mode of operation of this network. Further work includes documentation of network elements and calculate the costs of setting up this network.
Computer Network Design of New Branch Office of Company
Vlček, Tomáš ; Šimkovský, Igor (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of universal cabling system in unused floor of company headquarter, which can be used for rent of office rooms. Next part of this thesis is revision of the existing computer network at the offices of company, documentation, or extending this network.
Communication assembly for optical cableless linking
Kapuš, Martin ; Kovář, Jan (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
This Graduate Thesis is about communication module for optical wireless network. This device read data from RS232 port and two analog inputs and sends it through internet to a remote Computer. Furthermore allows voice communication between local user on module and user on remote computer. Device allows communication with standard headphones and microphone, or with Bluetooth handsfree. Basic part is microprocessor MCF5223 and Bluetooth Ezurio BISM II module. Control program has been written in C language. Printed circuit is created by EAGLE program. This device is managed via web interface and settings have been stored into EEPROM memory. Work contains description of separately parts and blocks, source code of program, description of source code and printed circuit designs.
