The Comparison of Written and Spoken Language of Students at the Upper Primary School

The topic of the bachelor thesis is analyse of spoken and written skills of pupils of secondary school, mostly comparison of the differences between spoken and written language among pupils of the same year. Next will follow, for example, comparison of two identical expressions of pupils from different years. Thesis will evaluate grammar, stylistics and vocabulary. The aim is to highlight the improvement (deterioration, stagnation) of language and writing skills of students for each year.
Helathy Way of Life Education in School Conditions

The Bachelor Graduation work focuses on the area of guiding the pupils at secondary schools to a healthy lifestyle. The aims of the work are to analyze the current educational practices in the tuitional guidance to the healthy lifestyle at a selected school on basis of a theoretical and content analyses of relevant documents and draw recommendations for the pedagogical environment. In the theoretical section, the essential terms related to the human health, style of living and the education of this subject are presented and explained. The presented sources are the curriculum documents of the national level: The National Program of Education in the Czech Republic and The Framing Tuition Program for the Basic Schools. In the practical section of the bachelor work, there is the selected school presented - The Basic School of T. G. Masaryk. The actual implementation of the educational concept for health and healthy lifestyle is depictured and there are also some recommendations for the practical processes offered.
Analysis of exercises in reading-books for 9th class of primary school

RESUMÉ The essence of this thesis is to compare selected reading books or workbooks in terms of the accompanying questions and issues. The work is theoretically based on the characteristics of the pubescent reader and also Bloom's taxonomy, classification and results in international tests like PISA etc. The thesis is also examining the readers' literacy. Its definition is changing in time. Literacy is not only focusing on the knowledge, but also plays an important role in integrating into society. It is a complex of several dimensions (relationship to reading, literal understanding, deduction, metacognition, sharing and application). Each of the components is indispensable. Five reading books of the 9th year of elementary school from different publishers (SPN, New School, Fraus, Alter) were analyzed. Two reading books are published by SPN, but each represents a different approach (the older one is based on the school curriculum, newer relates to teaching according to the RVP ZV). It was not a representative analysis of the whole supply of current reading books, but only a selected sample. Analysis of particular reading books is devoted to the general characteristics and context (author, declared associations with RVP ZV, illustrations, general structure of reading book, etc). Total Physical Response in Different Age Groups

A foreign language teaching method called Total Physical Response is described in the theoretical part. The originator proposes the method for any age group; despite the fact, the use of the method changes in different age groups, due to cognitive development of students and their level of English. The practical part shows opinions of present English teachers in Poděbrady and its neighborhood about usage of the method in their lessons.
