Parenting styles and adolescents

The bachelor thesis focuses on parenting styles in relation to adolescents. The thesis starts with a literature review summarizing current knowledge on this issue. In the first part of the literature review, the topic of parenting styles is put into a broader context of the current development of the family. Furthermore, it outlines basic assumptions on which current research is based. The core part of the literature review offers a list of the most important topics of current research. Although the thesis draws mostly from foreign literature, it also mentions Czech authors contributing to this issue. The following empirical part presents a research project which is thematically linked to the literature review. It focuses on the phenomenon of emerging adulthood and its implications for parenting, which seems to be quite specific during this period of adolescent's development. The research has a qualitative design which aims to reveal essential features and characteristics of parenting in the period of emerging adulthood. Key words: Parenting styles, adolescents, family
Significant adults in the evolution and development of adolescent

This bachelor's thesis occupies itself with relationship between significant adults and development of adolescents. Theoretical part describes basic characteristic of these relationships, social development of adolescent, fundamental concepts and selected outcomes of relationship. In the second part is presented my research project. This project is focused on basic characteristics of these relationships in Czech republic and possible connections between these relationships and academical self-efficacy.
Accompanying Adolescent Who Go Through An Existential Crisis After Experiencing The Death Of A Loved One

This thesis is focused on the topic of accompanying adolescents who go through an existential crisis after experiencing the death of a loved one. The goal of this work is to gain deeper insight into the problematics of accompanying of the mourning adolescents. The first part of the thesis is focused on the relationship of mankind and death throughout history and on the current ways of dealing with death and deceased people in our society, including the role of funeral rituals. The thesis also describes the developmental period of adolescence and the relationship of adolescents to death. The next part deals with the process of mourning, its stages, complications and, above all, the specific needs and manifestations of adolescents. The final part of the thesis is focused on the process of accompanying, its types, methods, possible problems, accompanying persons and characteristics of the existential crisis.
Minors' Experience Analysis of Romanticized or Sexualized Contact with an Educator

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of romanticized and sexualized contact of minor students and their adult educators which is being dominantly silenced in the Czech Republic. The thesis consists of a theoretical part and an empirical part. Theoretical part of the thesis presents psychological aspects of the developmental period of adolescence and of the pedagogical profession, discusses the issue of crossing professional boundaries by an educator and finally defines a specific subtype of educator sexual misconduct: educator sexual abuse of minor students in the form of a mutual sexualized type of a contact. The focus of the empirical part of the thesis is a research project framed by constructivist ontology, feminist epistemology and phenomenological metodology. The research project is an interpretative phenomenological analysis of the experience of five adult women who experienced romanticized or sexualized contact with their educator during adolescence. The purpose of the research was to gain an in-depth understanding of its participants' experiences both from their former adolescent perspective and their contemporary adult perspective and to capture any possible change of their mind during the given period concerning their own experiences. In-store marketing targeted at children

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the topic of in-store marketing targeted at children and how they perceive this communication. The theoretical part describes its principles and possible adaptations of its elements to children shoppers. It also discusses the development of children themselves and their social and cognitive abilities. It also addresses legislative restrictions and ethical aspects. The research part subsequently investigates how children aged 8-17 perceive marketing at the point of sale. The results of the quantitative questionnaire show that children's perception is relatively complex from the age of 8. There are only minimal and insignificant differences between the youngest and oldest children. The conclusions of the thesis can serve as a basis for further research and as a foundation for creating ethical rules and principles of in-store marketing.

The diploma thesis deals with the behaviour of adolescent consumers on the book market, more precisely on the book market with a literary fiction. The aim of the diploma thesis is primarily to examine the influencing factors, which affect these consumers and, based on them, to suggest recommendations for entities operating on this market. The literature research introduces the theoretical basis of consumer behaviour, the factors that affect them, the purchasing decision-making process or the marketing communication mix. It is also possible to find a closer look at the adolescent consumer in the digital age in this part. Furthermore, an overview of the Czech book market and the current situation on this market is given. The analysis of both secondary and primary data obtained by a question-naire survey is performed in our own work. On the basis of our findings, market-ing recommendations are suggested for entities, who operate on the book market.
Participation of Children at the Funeral

The thesis deals with the topic of children's participation at funerals from younger school age to adolescence and examines the significance of personal participation or non-participation in funerals of close persons. In the theoretical part, it describes the importance of funerals from various points of view and describes ecclesiastical and secular funeral rites. It focuses attention on the psychological perception of death and burial in children of defined age categories, on interviews and on the moral and ethical point of view. He comments on the rituals of children. In the practical part, the empirical research reveals the lived experience of the respondents, from which we have the opportunity to find out the significance of personal participation or non-participation of children at funerals of close persons in the context of the family environment.
The role of the father from the perspective of adolescents

This bachelor thesis deals with role of father from the perspective of adolescents. The theoretical part consists of two chapters. The first chapter deals with characteristics of adolescence. The second chapter is on the subject of fatherhood. Attention is here devoted to roles those father plays in the family, differences in the approach to daughters and sons and what the absence of the father in life of the adolescent brings. The research part, with the help of qualitative methods and case studies, compares the adolescent's perspective of the role of the father in the family and also deals with differences and common features of individual cases.
View of professional public on children's homes and foster care

The work deals with suitability of children's homes and foster care. It is considered based on their abilities to fulfil psychological needs of children and minors. In addition, the work deals with the possible way of these two forms of substitutional care on affecting mental development of their wards. Children's home, foster care and their historical evolution up to the present form in our country are described in the first half of this work. Furthermore, the term family and parenthood and their possible forms in the past and present are described. Children's and minors' needs, particularities of individual development phases in childhood and maturing, are described in this work as well. The suitability of children's homes and foster care, based on opinions of the authors of professional publications and ideas of professional public, are mentioned in the second part of the work. In conclusion, a part of this work commits to the way electronic mass media deal with this issue and which point of view they transfer to the non-professional public. The main result of the diploma thesis is that these three groups predominantly prefer the foster care to children's home. Primarily for the reason of real family environment which, unlike the children's home, the foster care can provide. Despite this fact, these groups are aware of the necessity of children's homes which, in some cases, could be a more convenient alternative to a birth family.
