Reinforced concrete load-bearing construction
Ilčík, David ; Kraut, Jan (referee) ; Šulák, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis is aimed for design and assessment main load bearing elements of a apart-ment building on the ultimate and serviceability limit state. Assessed parts of construction are reinforced concrete slab over the second floor, column and shear wall in the first floor, stairway slab and foundation pad. The elements are assessed in a structural design report according valid standard. There is created drawings. Internal forces are calculated using software Scia Engineer, where is modeled and loaded the construction.
Static solution of parking house
Rose, Dominik ; Koláček, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on the elaboration of a static solution of a parking house with four above-ground floors. Three variants are elaborated, one of which was elaborated in more detail. The proposed elements are the ceiling slab, the columns and staircase. The SCIA Engineer 20.0 program is used to calculate the internal forces. As part of the work, drawing documentation is also prepared. The structure is designed according to correctly valid standards.
Qualitative analysis of cooperation of back court player and line player on the 9th Men's European Championship in Brno
Václavek, Ondřej ; Tůma, Martin (advisor) ; Velenský, Michael (referee)
Title: Qualitative analysis of cooperation of back court player and line player on the 9th Men's "18" European Championship in Brno. Objectives: Qualitative analysis of the attacking combinations between back court player and line player on the 9th Men's "18" European Championship 2008 in Brno, finding out the space distribution of these combinations and compare the trend analysis of Men's "18", Men's "20" and Men's European Championship. Methods: Qualitative Analysis of the matches on DVD with using non participating and non structured observing connected with quantitative analysis based on the statistical program Handball Stat. We used own form for recording the observed data. Results: The teams used combination based on passing mostly. The distribution of co-operation probably depended on physical, technical and tactical preparation of the back court players and through that the line player very often co-operated with left and middle back. Key words: handball, combination, co-operation, back court player, line player, qualitative analysis, 9th Men's "18"ECh 2008 Brno
Combining outputs from machine translation systems
Salim, Fahim ; Žabokrtský, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Bojar, Ondřej (referee)
Combining Outputs from Machine Translation Systems By Fahim A. Salim Supervised by: Ing. Zdenek Zabokrtsky, Ph.D Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics, Charles University in Prague 2010. Abstract: Due to the massive ongoing research there are many paradigms of Machine Translation systems with diverse characteristics. Even systems designed on the same paradigm might perform differently in different scenarios depending upon their training data used and other design decisions made. All Machine Translation Systems have their strengths and weaknesses and often weakness of one MT system is the strength of the other. No single approach or system seems to always perform best, therefore combining different approaches or systems i.e. creating systems of Hybrid nature, to capitalize on their strengths and minimizing their weaknesses in an ongoing trend in Machine Translation research. But even Systems of Hybrid nature has limitations and they also tend to perform differently in different scenarios. Thanks to the World Wide Web and open source, nowadays one can have access to many different and diverse Machine Translation systems therefore it is practical to have techniques which could combine the translation of different MT systems and produce a translation which is better than any of the individual systems....
Possibilities and strategies for combination of university studies and employment in the Czech Republic
Pocová, Zuzana ; Kotrusová, Miriam (advisor) ; Dobiášová, Karolína (referee)
CHARLES UNIVERSITY IN PRAGUE FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES Institute of Sociological Studies Bachelor thesis: Possibilities and strategies for combination of university studies and employment in the Czech Republic The author: Zuzana Pocová Leader: Mgr. Miriam Kotrusová, Ph.D. Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with the examination possibilities and strategies for combination of university studies and employment in the Czech Republic in the context of difficult employment of graduates in the labour market at present, with emphasis on increasing their employability. Attention is focused on the issue of working students at universities. The goal is to identify student's strategies combine daily study and work and how to help the students to prevent them or legislative conditions. The work has an analytical character and operates as primary research data from semi-structured interviews and secondary data from foreign studies and legislative documents. Data are analysed using content and thematic analysis.
Influence of modified games on the quantity of game combinations of primary school age floorball players
Míka, Ondřej ; Dragounová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Běhanová, Michaela (referee)
Title: Influence of modified games on the quantity of game combinations of primary school age floorball players Objectives: The aim of this work was to find out the effect of prepared training programme on quantity of passing, team cooperation and quantity of shots. The research was aimed on passing accuracy (passing quality) after ball carrying, quantity of passes in training match on smaller pitch. The number of the players was 3 on 3 there. It was also aimed on quantity of passes in league match on standard pitch. There were 5 players against 5. At the end of the training programme, we made revisory tests to assess a positive effect of the programme. Methods: We used a method of an experiment. At first, there were preliminary tests before an adjusted training program so that we got input data. Then we applied adjusted training programme and then there were another control tests to get output data. The programme included both modified games and game-like drills. During the tests, we used participant observation. Results: The results showed an increase of quantity in all tests. But only in passing accuracy after ball carrying test and in quantity of passes in league match the results were statistically significant. The other test showed no statistical significance. Keywords: game, modification,...

Static analysis of the lookout tower
Šoupalová, Kristýna ; Martinásek, Josef (referee) ; Vlk, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the static analysis of the steel construction of the lookout tower in the shape of a helix. Two 3D models, which differs in the way the columns are modeled, were made with RFEM 5.25 software by Dlubal company. The models are loaded with the calculated loads and afterwards the results of both models are compared. There are also a third 3D model, which includes surfaces. This model is put to a wind tunnel through Dlubal RWIND software. Then the comparison of the wind loads calculated according to the valid standard and the RWIND results is made.
Design and static analysis of the house in the shape of inverted pyramid
Fleischerová, Beáta ; Mašek, Jan (referee) ; Vlk, Zbyněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on design and static analysis of the house in the shape of inverted pyramid. Compiling a 3D model and the calculation are processed by program Dlubal RFEM 5.20 using the finite element method. One of the main aims of the thesis is to be acquainted with the computational program and to verify results of the load cases and their combinations by manual calculation.
