Exploring the influence of pressure on the life of lead acid batteries for hybrid electric vehicles
Pospíchal, Martin ; Tošer, Pavel (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
The lead-acid batteries used in hybrid electronic vehicles HEV operate in high-rate mode in a state of partial charge PSoC. It occurs when the degradation mechanisms related to irreversible sulphation and negative electrodes are a limiting factor in the life of lead-acid batteries. The electrode system was applied to experimental pressure cells of different sizes. Exp. cells were subjected to measurement and evaluation of potential negative electrode, a negative active mass resistance, contact resistance of transition collector - the active mass with the evaluation and measurement of pressure fluctuations within four PSoC runs.
Turbocharging the Internal Combustion Engine
Zelko, Lukáš ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
The thesis of a search character is primary focused on boosting and reaching the highest level of boost pressure from lower revolutions of the engine. In this thesis are listed trends of turbocharging that have not been massively applied in car industry yet, e.g. variable geometry turbochargers so called VGT but it has been used in a few car models or race cars.
Study of internal resistance of the lead acid battery cell for hybrid electric vehicles
Vojtíšek, Miloš ; Bača, Petr (referee) ; Křivík, Petr (advisor)
This work aims on acumulators for hybrid vehicles and deals particularly with research of inner-resistance of the lead-acid batteries. There is a brief characterization of hybrid cars in first part of the tesis. Second part is dealing with design of experimental measurement setup for measurement of lead-acid electrochemical cells. Set of experiments on several cells was performed, description of experiments and results in graphical form are present.
Microprocesor controlled charger
Husník, Ondřej ; Ježek, Michal (referee) ; Kovář, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of microprocessor controlled battery charger with support of NiCd, NiMH and Li-Ion cells. The project focus is aimed within circuits design at algorithm of charge detection implemented into microprocessor. User interface is formed by PC application which communicates with charger via USB. PC connection allows recording of charging characteristics behaviour. The result of thesis is completely designed and created battery charger including microprocessor and PC application source codes.
Design of wind turbine regulator
Kowalczyk, Wiktor ; Vrána, Michal (referee) ; Morávek, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with charge control of a lead acid battery driven by 300 W wind turbine. The thesis is divided into four parts. First deals with the issue of lead battery charge controllers and the definition of a regulator for a wind turbine with permanent magnet synchronous generator, including a description of the regulated system elements. The second part deals with measurments done on the given system. Third part describes the design, algorithms and regulator programming and the last part describes construction and testing of a built-in controller.
Accumulator tester with ESP32 module
Dresler, Jan ; Musil, Petr (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This thesis focuses on design of printed circuit board and programming of ESP32 module. This module communicates with discharging circuit which allows testing of battery properties. With help of voltage and current sensors it is possible to test and print results of battery on display. The testing device also allows control over web user interface thanks to ESP32.
Battery block for electric mower
Kaláb, Pavel ; Folprecht, Martin (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the construction, protective circuits and lifespan of lithium ion batteries intended for electric lawn mower. The entire battery is composed of Li-ion cells with designation NCR18650A, which are connected in serial-parallel. Due to the connection of the cells in series, it is necessary to add protective circuit to each cell. Protective circuits prevent overcharging or deep discharging. Li-ion cells are extremely sensitive to overcharging and deep discharging. Absence of protective circuits can lead to irreversible damage of the entire battery pack.
Accumulator tester
Pisca, Marek ; Kadlec, Josef (referee) ; Cipín, Radoslav (advisor)
This master´s thesis is dealing with the theory of Li-ion accumulators and theirs charching. In this thesis has been designed accumulator tester for automatic charging and discharging of Li-ion accumulator. This tester is controlled by microprocessor.
Evaluation of current DS infrastructure to potential development of charging stations in the selected area
Hýsek, David ; Krátký,, Milan (referee) ; Paar, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the evaluation of the infrastructure of charging stations and the development of fast charging stations. The first part describes the basic charging modes and parameters of selected chargers. The second part of the work presents an overview of battery electric cars and slow and fast charging. Furthermore, the work concerns the electric car policy in Europe and especially in three selected countries: The Kingdom of Norway, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Czech Republic. In the last part of the work, three scenarios of electromobility development in the selected location in Brno were compiled and subsequently the load of these scenarios on the network in the Daisy Bizon designer program was verified.
Design of LPG-Powered Portable Generator for Resealable Cartridge
Vevera, Tomáš ; Křenek, Ladislav (referee) ; Sovják, Richard (advisor)
The topic of this bachelors thesis is the design of LPG powered generátor for resealable cartridges. The main goal is to design a lightweight portable power source. This goal has been achieved by using a rotary engine.Adding a power bank into the generátor has reached a wide use potenciál. The final design accomplishes all ergonomic and functional requirements. The final shaping tries to adress the potenciál users.
