The subject of the thesis is design and check of steel load-bearing structure of a footbridge. The footbridge spans the river Svitava in the town Blansko. The span length is 24 metres. The structural design is spatial bar structure with two main trusses. The upper and lower chords are curved in the shape of circular arch and they are connected by diagonal bars. In the level of the upper and lower chords the beams are connected by floor beam. Horizontal rigidity of the upper and lower construction area is secured by bracings. The bridge deck is laid on the lower floor beam. The solution is the result of the comparison and evaluation of two variants.

The dimensions of ground plans is 14,7 x11,1 meters and the house is 11 meters high. The frame load-bearing structure off wall is formed by wall panels where joist are stored. The truss is designed as a system of purlins. The building is located in Slavkov u Brna climatic loads are solved for this location.
Multifunctional building
Prokop, Stanislav ; Myslín,, Jiří (referee) ; Maceková, Věra (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design and elaboration of the project documentation of a polyfunctional house with a café in Kyjov. The new building is located in the northern part of the city. It is a 4 floor object, partlial basement building with a saddle roof. The house is based on plain concrete slabs. The supporting peripheral and internal masonry is designed from POROTHERM brick blocks. In the cafeteria, an open layout is proposed using beams and columns. Ceiling structures are designed from the POROTHERM MIAKO system. The roof structure is designed with a truss with sheet metal cover. The perimeter walls in the 1PP are designed from blocks of loose formwork filled with concrete, which are insulated with extruded polystyrene. The building is functionally divided into 2 parts, each with its own entrance. The café is equipped with a vestibule, its own café, toilet for women and men with cabins for handicapped visitors and a background with a storeroom, dressing room and WC with a hall. The residential part consists of 4 garages and 6 apartments, 2 of which are adapted for the handicapped. The object is designed with natural ventilation. The object is barrier-free. In front of the building is proposed a parking space for 9 seats, 2 of which are designed for handicapped and 2 for apartment owners.
Load-bearing reinforced concrete structure of a multifunctional building
Fikejsová, Kristýna ; Švaříčková, Ivana (referee) ; Šimůnek, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is a ferroconcrete and partly bricked multifunctional object with a basement and three levels located in the part of Brno called “Královo pole”. In the project are solved certain parts of ferroconcrete constructions in the basement: beams, a panel, columns and a stairway. The object is modelled in the static programme Scia. The drawings of the reinforcements are made in the system programme AutoCAD and the superstructural programme for AutoCAD Recoc.
Comparision of design of cast-in-place structure with / without consideration of process construction
Vlach, Jakub ; Juchelková,, Pavlína (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to propose and evaluate static three-storey reinforced concrete structure. For static analysis supporting structure was used computer program based on FEM SCIA - Engineer 2013 - student version. In computing program have been two independent computational models and in 2D and 3D space. The results were compared and evaluated with each other. On the basis of the report is drafted drawings consisting of reinforcement drawing and drawing shape.
Experimentální mechanická analýza konstrukčního prvku LSL s mechanicky diferenciovanými vrstvami
Jadrný, Radek
The thesis is focused on the use of alternative wood in the form of wood waste for the production of wood-based structural composite material. Adverse conditions lead to the deterioration of wood quality, thus generating a larger proportion of waste, which is very important to recycle in terms of storing harmful carbon. Therefore, this thesis deals with the production of the latest strand agglomerated structural material such as Intrallam (LSL) which is almost unavailable and unknown material for the country. For the experimental mechanical analysis of the LSL structural element with mechanically differentiated layers, spruce and larch wood strands were produced with parameters corresponding to those of commercially used strands with dimensional variation of 0.7 - 0.9 mm thickness, 20 to 50 mm width and 300 mm length. For the production of one LSL board, 90% of the strands with a fraction x > 10x10 mm and 10% of the strands with a fraction 5x5 < x < 10x10 mm were used. Larch (REF-MD) and spruce (REF-SM) reference Intrallam and Intrallam with mechanically differentiated layers (MDV) were produced for the research work. The surface layers of the MDV Intrallam were composed of larch strands and the core layer of spruce strands. To ensure excellent mechanical, physical and chemical properties, the LSL was bonded with polymer methylenediphenyl-diisocyanate (pMDI) at a strand moisture content of 7%. The manufactured LSL samples were subjected to mechanical tests – bending with DIC, internal bond strength, shear strength and compressive strength. The results showed that larch wood is a very favorable alternative wood species for the production of structural agglomerated materials.
Fire station in Žamberk
Daníček, Michal ; Ešpandr, Jan (referee) ; Bantová, Sylva (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is the design of the new building of the fire station in Žamberk. The building plot is located on the northwestern outskirts of the city of Žamberk in the street Čs. armády. The fire station building is free-standing and contains two above-ground floors and a tower for drying hoses. On the first above-ground floor, there is a garage for emergency vehicles and associated areas such as a wash box, a technical room with a backup source of electricity, a cloakroom with emergency clothing and washing facilities, fuel storage, a warehouse, a building maintenance workshop, a machine service workshop, sanitary facilities, hose drying and a corridor with a staircase to the second above-ground floor. On this floor, there is an administrative part, a dirty and clean changing room, hygiene facilities, rooms for day and night emergency, a slide to the ground floor, and a room for physical training of fire station workers. The building has a simple shape of two rectangles locked into each other with a distinctive square tower. The object is based on foundation footings and belts. The vertical support system of the above-ground floor is a prefabricated reinforced concrete frame with infill masonry made of ceramic blocks. Horizontal load-bearing ceiling structures are reinforced concrete prefabricated beams with pre-stressed ceiling cavity panels. The roof structure is designed as a single-skin flat roof weighed down by a layer of washed river aggregate.
A leisure center
Istvánová, Martina ; Kozubíková, Ivana (referee) ; Matějka, Libor (advisor)
The subject of my master’s thesis is creating a part of a design documentation for constructing a Leisure center with nearly zero energy consumption. The Leisure center is designed as a building with two above-ground floors and a basement. It is a newly-build public building with educational purposes. The building is designated for leisure time education activities for children and youth and organizing various cultural events such as exhibitions and theatre plays. There is a coffee shop on the first above ground. In the basement of the building is a mass garage for 10 vehicles, technical utilities of the building and a storage space. From the construction side the building is designed as a cast-in-place concrete frame with reinforced concrete columns and beams and mainly with cast-in-place reinforced slabs. A part of the building’s ceiling is designed as prefabricated reinforced prestressed concrete floor slab.
Static solution of the ceiling structure of apartment building
Habanec, Kamil ; Nečas, Radim (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with the static solution of the ceiling construction of an integrated apartment building. The aim is to design, or change the sizes of the projected structures in the submitted project, to ensure the interruption of thermal bridges and protection against foot noise. Subsequently, their static solution, dimensioning and assessment to marginal states. The elements intended for the solution are ceiling structures above the second upper floor, beams, a connecting staircase and a column. The calculation of internal forces was performed in the student version of SCIA Engineer 20.0 with a comparison of values on an independent simplified model. The work also includes drawing documentation for the aforementioned elements. The calculation was carried out according to the applicable standards and principles.
