NiCd, NiMH and Li-Ion Accumulators Charger Controlled via USB
Knop, Petr ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Bartoš, Pavel (advisor)
Universal battery charger Ni-Cd, Ni-Mh and Li-ion batteries. The charger is controlled by microcontroller atmega8 made by Atmel. The charger senses the battery temperature, battery voltage and sends data about charging cycle to created applications over USB interface.
Adjustable source feeded and controlled by USB bus
Staněk, Miroslav ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Kolouch, Jaromír (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is concept and realization of voltage source which is controlled and feeded by Universal Serial Bus. There will be presented whole design, execution, development progress and finalization of this project in the following text. This source must boost and buck standard voltage from USB. So it will be necessary using two source lines. Microcontroller of AVR family will be used in the direct part of this adjustable source. Into this microcontroller will be embedded USB interface by the software solution. The microcontroller isn‘t used only for communication with PC by the computer programme, but it is also used for switching the source lines by the PWM modulation. According to the minimum output voltage scale (0 – 15 V) this source is useful for a wide spectrum of low- power devices. This equipment could be helpful together with laptop to charging devices (cell phone, camera, pocket osciloscope etc.), which are carried with notebook for doing outdoor activities and measurements.
FLATcon system – gas detection system with RF communication
Chytil, Jiří ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
The theme of this thesis is to design a wireless carbon monoxide leak detector for smart home system FLATcon. This thesis deals mainly with practical design of the device extended with temperature measuring and output to boiler operation, the conception of two-way wireless Master - Slave communication for system FLATcon and design a central unit for FLATcon to demonstrate the functionality using the single board computer Raspberry PI. The thesis also includes a theoretical introduction into the measuring gas concentration and discusses the design of used semiconductor sensor MQ-7.
Bioloid Comprehensive Kit
Síla, Vladimír ; Burian, František (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
Thist thesis deals with smart servomotor control. The aim of thist project is to create own control system, implementig communication protocol with smart servos from Bioloid Comprehensive Kit. Communication. The deal also deals with communication with smart sensoring element.
ECG measurement using BIOPAC system
Kotek, Lukáš ; Rozman, Jiří (referee) ; Balogh, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor project is to acquainted with BIOPAC system and with the theory of electrocardiography. After investigation of possibilities to retrieve analog and digital data as well as measurement of ECG signal was developed circuit enable to convert analog signals to digital and then export digital signal via USB to the PC. Developed circuit is based on integrated circuits ATmega8 a FT232RL. Visual Studio was used to create application for registration and calculation power spectrum ECG signal in C#.
Realization of differential power analysis
Marek, Pavel ; Dzurenda, Petr (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
Nowadays, it is not enough to pay attention to encryption algorithm security from the mathematical aspect only. It is also necessary to pay attention to the implementation of encryption algorithm, because encryption devices can show plenty of information about implemented encryption via undesirable communication. This bachelor thesis deals with side channels issues (especially power side channel) and their use to obtain the secret key of AES encryption algorithm. For this purpose there are three operations realized in this thesis. At first, there is experimental workplace designed, which provides automatic saving of waveforms of encryption. Then there is a simple and differential power analysis of these waveforms performed. All parts are theoretically described in individual chapters. After theoretical description there is the practical part, which describes a proper realization of all tasks.
Wireless Tire Pressure Monitoring
Hampl, Tomáš ; Čožík, Ondřej (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This master‘s thesis describes the design of a system usable for wireless measurement of the tire pressure. The goal is to make a theoretical acquintace with the wireless measurement of a tire pressure. Within the master‘s thesis was suggested device at the block level. For individual blocks have been chosen specific circuits. For the device has been selected the pressure sensor SP100-7AT, the microcontrollers Atmega8 and Atmega16 and the wireless module RFM22. The result of the work is a functional prototype of device including software for microprocessors. Final solution was tested during the experimental measurement.
Universal drive unit
Sehnálek, Lubomír ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
This document deal with design of universal driving unit. For the final solution is required driving unit which will be controled with help of sensory unit placed on the chassis of driving unit. In theoretical part of this labour are examined possibilities of a power, electric motor operation by PWM, kind of chassis and odometry which could be taken into account. From this section is finally chosen concrete configuration which is then described in chapter concerned oneself with driving unit design. Construction of equipment is shown in next chapter where final configuration of equipment is described.
Laser gun and target for shooting sport practise
Poloch, Martin ; Drexler, Petr (referee) ; Friedl, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with complete design of a system for simulating shooting sport. Key aspects of the design are similarity with shooting from classic mechanical weapons, multifunctionality of the system and costs. The core of the simulation is a laser transmitter in the weapon and a photosensitive receiver in the target. One of the key part of this thesis is choosing the most suitable photosensor. The final version of the system is controlled by a group of microcontrollers and provides several types of feedback. For example lighting the place that has been hit with LED, sound signals, displaying shooting results, or evaluating them with a computer.
Small path follower robot
Zacpal, Michal ; Burian, František (referee) ; Kopečný, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and subsequent implementation of the control system for small path follower robot. On the introduction are presents the platform´s on which the system was built. In the next section are gradually introduced: A module for following the line (HW, SW), modul for control motors (HW, SW) and the control unit (HW, SW). Then is presents construction on which the system was tested. Finally, there were implemented two algorithms for tracking lines. Whole system, including the plug moduls is built on Atmel microcontrollers, and this ATmega8 and ATmega328. They are based on open - source platform Arduino, because they contain Arduino bootloader. Microcontrollers using I2C bus to communicate each other. Control unit is using to communicate with users LCD display and four buttons. For scanning a line is using five reflective optocoupler CNY70.
