GPU Image Processing Library
Čermák, Michal ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This work is concerned with architecture of recent Nvidia graphics cards and application programming interface CUDA. That is used to create accelerated image processing library. It place emphasis on testing performance gain compassion with high optimized and used OpenCv library.
Selected Driving Manoeuvres of Motorcyclists
Kriegsmann, Luděk ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
The entire diploma thesis is designed into two parts. The first part is focused on the theoretical description of the construction of motorcycles. In particular, the theoretical part deals with the description of the types of motorcycles, types of frames, types of suspension and the description of braking systems used on motorcycles. In the theoretical part, the main parameters of the motorcycle are also addressed, which affect the handling and stability of the motorcycle while riding. The last theoretical part deals with the technique of riding a motorcycle. The second part is focused directly on the execution of the experiment. The experiment consists of measuring five disciplines, namely measuring acceleration, measuring braking deceleration using brakes, measuring deceleration by the engine, measuring exit from an intersection and measuring lateral displacement. Eight motorcycles took part in the measurement. The main outputs from the measurements are time data, deceleration and lateral acceleration values.
Use of digital accelerometers in Linet bed controls
Dvořák, Ferdinand ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is a design of methods for accelerometer usage in medical bed controllers in order to eliminate the activation button. In the introduction the Linet company is presented and the issue of legislation and safety of controling the medical beds is briefly discussed. This part is followed by a theoretical chapter considering MEMS technology and accelerometers. The metodology of reference and simulative signals acquisition is designed. These signals are then analysed. In following chapters the particular methods of solutions are presented. The comparison of the presented methods and the final summary of the thesis is included in the conclusion.
Quadbike (ATV) Driving Behaviour
Příplatová, Miroslava ; Krejsa, Ivan (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with Quadbike (ATV) driving behaviour. This work describes the construction of ATVs, driving behavior and specifications ride them. In this work was performed measurements of braking, acceleration tests, measurements of transverse movement ATVs and subsequent analyse of obtained data. The measured values can be used for working forensic experts and analysts accidents.
Cavitation onset by liquid acceleration
Mračko, Patrik ; Burda, Radim (referee) ; Rudolf, Pavel (advisor)
The main goal of bachelor’s thesis is description of complex phenomenon of cavitation caused by acceleration and design of experiment focusing on its observation. Thesis consist of two parts. Theoretic research focusing on basic information about cavitation, its formation and significance. Second part is design of experimental observation with help of high-speed camera, evaluation of possible complications which may occur and their solution. Conclusion proposes possible application for research in area of wastewater treatment.
Utilization of multi-body simulation tools in subject Kinematics
Jediný, Lukáš ; Lošák, Petr (referee) ; Březina, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the creating computer examples for teaching the subject of kinematics. It is a display of options in present multi-body simulation tools. Especially the simpler mechanisms, which have higher value for students than models of complex kinematic mechanisms, were modelled.
Hardware Acceleration of Cipher Attack
Okuliar, Adam ; Slaný, Karel (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
Hardware acceleration is often good tool to achieve significantly better performance of processing great ammount of data or of realization of parallel algoritms. Aim of this work is to demonstrate resoluts of using FPGA circuits for implementation exponentially complex algorithm. As example haschosen brute-force attack on WEP cryptographic algorithm with 40-bit long key. Goal of this work is to compare properties and performance of software and hardware implementation of choosen algorithm.
ESP/ESC Impact to Behavior of Vehicle
Weigel, Filip ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on active safety - ESP. System ESP greatly improves stability of vehicle while turning. The thesis analyses modelling, brake functionality, subordinate systems of ESP - ABS and ASR, physical forces and phenomenons, model example, analysis of problem, design of model, implementation of model and experiments evaluation of implemented model in UPPAAL enviroment. The goal of the thesis is to prove that ESP system helps to stabilize vehicle while turning by simulation of vehicle model. Results are presented in well-aranged graphs side-by-side. It is possible to analyze the behaviour of vehicle while turning with ESP or without ESP.
Accelerated Neural Networks on GPU
Tomko, Martin ; Zachariášová, Marcela (referee) ; Krčma, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the implementation of an application for artificial neural networks simulation and acceleration using a graphics processing unit. The computation and training of feedforward neural networks using the Backpropagation algorithm are the main focus of this thesis, but the application also supports other network types, and it makes it possible to extend the application with different training algorithms. Next, the application allows us to create neural networks with structural anomalies, and thus, to test the neural network's fault tolerance. The application is implemented in the C++ language, using OpenCL to manage GPU computation. The Backpropagation acceleration results were compared with the free open source library FANN.
Vibrodiagnostics of electrical machines
Boháček, Daniel ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
This thesis deals with methods of vibration analysis in electric rotating machines. From the beginning, it is necessary to explain the basic concepts and introduce the issue of vibration. Next time, the work is focused on sources of vibration in electrical machines. Defects on electric rotating machines causing vibrations are described. Sensing is performed using sensors of deflection, speed and acceleration. The measured signal needs to be adjusted and filters, approximations and sampling will cover this in the next chapter. The main objective is the methods of analysis, which include the best known in the field of frequency analysis (FFT) and the envelope method in the time domain. This includes other methods such as Kurtosis factor, Crest factor, etc. There is also a basic block diagram for measuring vibrations. This block diagram is programmed and has a graphical user interface. The last part is an evaluation of the measured data of the engines.
