Activation of abdominal wall and back muscles during exercise with traction and compression loads
Jordáková, Adela ; Čech, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Machač, Stanislav (referee)
We used RUSI (rehabilitative ultrasound imaging) for measurement of abdominal and back muscle in different loading modes. Methods: We used diagnostic ultrasonography imaging for taking linear measurement of trunk muscles. We measured anterioposterior (AP) dimensions of lateral abdominal wall muscles- m. OE, m.OI, m.TrA and cross-section area (CSA) of lumbar m. multifidus. We compared two groups of sports-floorball players and sportsman using climbing and hanging (climbers, aerialists). We measured positions with compressive force (kneeling on all four with lifted knees) and with traction load (hang with upper limbs with flexion of lower limbs-with leg support and without). Study is made on 50 volunteers. Results: The pattern of thickness of abdominal muscles is same in all positions in both groups. The lowest is always AP thickness of m. TrA, wider is m. OE and the widest always m. OI. The resting thickness are in both groups almost in all cases the lowest. AP thickness in m. TrA in floorball players is only exception, there is lowest in hang without legs support. In all other case sis resting position always lowest. For m. OE are results same for both climbers and floorball players-the lowest thickness is in hang with legs support (floorball players 0,84 cm, climbers 0,87), greater activationis...
Friction Modification within Wheel-Rail Contact
Galas, Radovan ; Meierhofer, Alexander (referee) ; Pfaff, Raphael (referee) ; Hartl, Martin (advisor)
Experimentální studium probíhalo v laboratorních i reálných podmínkách, konkrétně v tramvajovém provozu.

This paper contains an introduction that describes the current situation of the problem and its energy supply improvement. It discusses everything from power substations to trolleys which are fed through sections. There is a reference to the network operating deficiencies and possible solutions. The second part describes the development of these networks and their modernization in a growing city. It is verified by calculation if were our considerations good and proposed network will be normally reliable and capable. The final part deals with the economic balance of the project and its various alternatives. Development of energy networks and facilities cost many finance and these investments do not show immediately. Future will be paid off because as soon the changes come less problems may occur.
Frame of lift
Seják, Jiří ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Mynář, Břetislav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is oriented around several parts of electrical traction passenger lift. The main task is to design the conception of lift frame for the lift machine Sassi Toro with a deflector for a loading capacity of 1000 to 1600 kilos. It´s necessary to make a calculation of traction on driving sheave of machine. On the base of these values we are able to asses a maximum ropes distance between the driving sheave and deflector.
Nursing care about child with traction
HEIMLICHOVÁ, Blanka
This bachleor work being titled ?Nursing care of children with traction? consists of two sections. The first section deals with theory, i.e. it represents a theoretical part which focuses on anatomy of bones, specific fractures of children?s fractures, children's accident frequency rate, diagnostics and fracture therapy, nursing process, hospital schools and volunteers at children?s wards. The second section deals with research. For the purpose of the research two goals have been established as well as four research tasks. The aim of this work is to find out specific features of the nursing care of the children with traction and to find out the possibilities of making children with traction busy during children?s hospitalisation period. The research tasks having been set are as follows: Has nursing care of a child with traction any specific features? What are the specific features of nursing care of a child with traction? Is a child with traction encouraged in his/her self-serving activities by nursing personnel? Are volunteers an integral part of a team providing nursing care services for a child with traction? In this work qualitative research has been applied. The data have been processed by means of half-structured interviews with children on traction, their mothers and sisters providing health care services for the abovementioned children and by hidden observations. The interviews consisted in 30 questions for nurses and 20 questions intended for both hospitalised children and mothers being hospitalised together with their children. From the data having been obtained from the interviews case reports have been made and the questions from the interviews have been recorded to the form of matrices as well as the results from hidden observations. On the basis of the results evaluations the responses and answers regarding the questions having been put to executive questions the following conclusions have been made: The nursing care of children with traction has shown specific features in the care of the children?s epiderms. The nursing care of the children with traction has shown its features in the area of hygiene.A child with traction is encouraged and supported in self-serving activities by nursing personnel. The children have been educated regarding suitable and unsuitable moving actions of their limbs. The nursing care of the children with traction has shown its specific features in the area of physiotherapy. The children with traction are integrated in the hospital school curriculum. An integral part of the care devoted to a child with traction is making them take up free time activities in the course of a day in which not only the volunteers, and pedagogues from hospital school and after-school care centre are participating but also the children?s parents. The aforementioned volunteers are an integral part of the team taking care of the children with traction. The nursing care of a child with traction has its specific features. The nursing care of a child with traction is provided by multidiscipline team that besides doctors of medicine and professional nurses within the scope of medical treatment process has been joined by physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, pedagogues from hospital school a after-school care centre, volunteers, play and game specialists or the parents of the hospitalised children. The results of the above specified research have been summarized into a manual dealing with nursing care of a child with traction intended for parents and it will be offered to the parents of the children with traction in order to make understanding of the therapy easier for the parents and provide the parents with quality nursing care. The results will be published in an article in the professional magazine for nurses.
