Vojkůvková, Petra ; Gebauer, Günter (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
Numerical simulation is a scientific method used to describe characteristics of examined system by means of experiments on its mathematical model. This thesis uses this method to elucidate the processes taking place in two different systems. Firstly it deals with the design of air conditioning systems for buildings, focusing on the mixing chambers. It focuses on the formation of condensation of water vapor in mixing chambers under conditions where the final temperature of the mixture does not drop below the saturation curve. Second prepared topic falls within the field of thermodynamics applied in food production. In order to assess the sufficiency of air-cooling method examines the thermal field in the product and evaluates the application of air-cooling assembly line in practice.
Thermodynamic Conditions in Quenching Chamber of Low Voltage Circuit Breaker
Jelikož současné grafické karty vyšších tříd mají několik desítek až stovek výpočetních jader a pracují s mnohem rychlejšími pamětmi, než CPU, je výpočetní výkon několikanásobně vyšší.
Optimization analysis of brake wheel
Hrabovský, Jozef ; Vlach, Radek (referee) ; Houfek, Lubomír (advisor)
Subject of this diploma thesis is break wheel optimalization analysis. Break wheels are used in mountain bike downhill races in extreme conditions. It is the first product of this type of an emergent company that was made by the use of intuitive approach. The reason for optimalization is improper behavior of existing solution that occurred during testing. This optimalization consists of finding and analyzing existing characteristics, deciding which factors influence this improper behavior, suggesting new solution and verification of this solution. Break wheel characteristics were detected in an experiment. For realization and evaluation of this experiment, a method named Design of experiments, was selected. This method is used for elaboration of results coming from the Regression analysis. It is possible to effectively achieve the result data by using this procedure. The experiment was oriented to gain data of temperature behavior of break wheel during real load. Mathematical model was adapted on the basis of this data and finally, the calculation was made by the use of Final element method by ANSYS WORKBENCH. Calculations were also coordinated through Design of calculation, and were oriented on temperature deformation and stress. Solution achieved by the Final element method, was evaluated by the Regression analysis and served as a proposition for a new break wheel construction.

Haratek, Jiří ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with methods used to determine the temperature field distribution within an electric machine. The first part is focused on methods of temperature measurement, generation and transfer of the thermal energy within the electric machine, asynchronous motor in particular. The thesis describes classical methods of temperature measurement and it also deals with ANSYS Workbench finite element method for thermal analysis of the motor. The final part of the thesis is focused on a comparation of all discussed methods with respect to results of thermal test for real asynchronous motor and concludes the most proper method.
Heat dissipation axially-cooled glassmaking
Hovorka, Martin ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The presented thesis deals with a numerical simulation of axially cooled glassmaking parison. Several types of cooling channels have been investigated according to its usage in glassmaking process. Software Star CCM+ was used to describe properties throughout the channels and also the parison itself. The main focus of this thesis lies in comparing of temperature fields, cooling effects and cooling intensity among the chosen channel designs. The boundary condi-tions were kept the same accordingly to glassmaking conditions for every design. Some out-puts were transferred to non-dimensional diagrams in order to recalculation pursuant to other boundary conditions. Properties of diffuser channel designs were compared to an experiment. Transient temperature field of the parison were calculated with Ansys APDL in order to de-termine the accumulation and stationary zone of the parison and to verify the boundary conditions for cooling channels.

Paťha, Martin ; Šuhajdová, Eva (referee) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
This thesis deals with interaction of microwave radiation with wet in porous material. It examines the distribution of the temperature field, the efficiency of the method and the financial demands of the method. The most important part of this thesis was an experiment, from which all important values ??were based. The first part deals with the necessary theory and the second part is the experiment itself. The experiment was carried out for three levels of material wet. Eight samples were used for this experiment, which remained unchanged throughout the experiment. The thesis draws on previous researches that were carried out on this or similar topic.
Apparatus for measuring the thermal resistance of the gloves
Pelikán, Jakub ; Fišer, Jan (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with common problem health protection at work. Namely hand protection during the work in very cold environment. It’s an analysis of materials suitable for apparatus used for measuring the thermal resistance of the gloves. There was analysed a range of materials. Every single sample was tested for heat conductivity and afterwards was assessed the suitability of materials. Heat was generated by electricity. Ocured heat fields was assessed with thermocamera. After performed experiments of carbon fiber we haven’t reached any satisfying results which we could use for manufacturing of this device. On the other hand kapton film has given very interesting results which we would recommend eventually. Kapton film needs to be modify according to the method listed in the conlusion. This thesis gives us a clear overview and inspiration for additional research of this device. It finds it’s place in research facilities and companies manufacturing protective clothing.
