The financial equalization in Germany

This bachelor thesis deals with the annual equalization payment system in the Federal Republic of Germany. The first theoretical part is concerned with the mechanisms, by means of which the funds are allocated to the single federal states. The financial equalization of the year 2012 is presented in detail. The second practical part looks into an analysis of the present discours on the legal action against the current equalization payment system with the Federal Contitutional Court and also into the reaction of the two major political parties on the legal action. The Czech Lands in the Political Composition of Central Europe in the 10th-13th Centuries: The Form and significance of the feudal system in the socio-economic structure of Saxony and Bohemia

The work submitted is focused on the issue of the feudal institute. Based on an analysis of the Latin terminology, the metamorphoses of the terminology and its context, it attempts to capture the form and importance of this phenomenon in 'everyday practice', as it is portrayed particularly by the diplomatic sources. The text is comprised of two basic parts. The first section deals with the composition of the image of the feudal institution on the background information of the sources of imperial provenience. It is not possible to treat the imperial sources as whole within this work and so attention is focused on the wider region spread in the area of Harz, which is delimited by five bishoprics - Miessen, Naumburg, Hildesheim, Halberstadt and Merseburg. The basic sources are the diplomatic materials of the mentioned dioceses, which complement the collection of documents of the two most powerful secular ducal families asserting influence in this area in the long term - the Houses of Welph and Ascania. The subject of the analysis is first of all the Latin, or German, terminology and its importance in the range from ca the 10th to the beginning of the 14th centuries. Czech-saxony relations. Saxony as an active player

Submitted thesis deals with political, institutional and normative roots of the Czech-Saxon cooperation and proceeds from two basic presumptions, firstly that the Czech Republic and Free State of Saxony are "sentenced" to mutual cooperation thanks to their geographical location and historical nearness and secondly that this "necessity" of cooperation was noticeably supported by an extraordinary approach of Saxony's Minister-Presidents Mr. Kurt Biedenkopf and Mr. Georg Milbradt and their shared vision of a cross-border region in the heart of Europe. This thesis was supported by a series of interviews with politicians from both sides of the border as well as by primary sources. It could not be naturally forgotten that such an international cooperation is based on daily engagement of individuals as well as on political decisions constituting environment for this cooperation - both these elements work basically on grounds of a communicating vessels principle. The right extremism in Saxony

This thesis deals with the right-wing extremism in Federal Republic of Germany, particulary in the Free State of Saxony. The opening part presents the history of the right-wing extremism in the territory of former German Democratic Republic. The following part summarizes briefly the developement of rigth-wing extremism after the german unification. Main attention is focused on the currant course of events. One part is devoted to the strongest and most successfull extreme right-wing political party Nationaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands (NPD), especially to its election results. The thesis further monitors the development of the NPDs political strategy and the enforcing of this strategy in to practice. A special attention is paid to the concept of National befreite Zone (nationally liberated zone). Next parts of the text describe the rapidly growing right-wing extremist subculture. The penetration of right- wing extremism into the areas of sport, music and fashion is proved on several concrete examples. There is a separate chapter devoted to the criminal activities commited by right-wing extremists. It also deals with the legislation which is aimed against the expressions of the right-wing extremism.

Emphasis are firstly placed on the economic development, development of the most important economic lines and culture in Saxony. This work also contains an analyse of Saxons and their behaviour by trade negotiations or international cooperation. This is described and represented in concrete studies.
Luther Decade, effect on tourism in Germany

This thesis describes effects of Luther Decade on tourism in Germany. It deals with German tourism market and its segments of cultural and spiritual tourism, as well as with potential of Luther Decade for tourism. It characterizes meaning of Luther Decade for Germany and the worldwide effect of reformation and presents the organizational structure of Luther Decade. It defines potential of Luther Decade for tourism of three German countries: Thuringia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, using SWOT analysis. The outcome of the thesis is that the effect of Luther Decade on visit rate in German tourism cannot be proved, because of missing statistical data. Luther Decade is a contribution for tourism due to financial investment in tourism infrastructure and sights reconstruction. It also has a positive impact on Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt who received most of the financial resources and who are being promoted at home and abroad. Germany should monitor visitors of Luther Decade and continuously evaluate this project.
Economic relations between Germany and the Czech Republic from 2004 to 2009

This bachelor thesis deals with economic relations between Germany and the Czech Republic from 2004 to 2009. First chapter deals with the general economic characteristics of Germany. It is focused on foreign trade and foreign direct investment. The second chapter describes the economic relations between the Czech Republic and Germany. The most of this part writes about trade in goods and services and the flow of foreign direct investment. The third chapter deals with cooperation between the Czech Republic and Bavaria and Saxony. In conclusion prospects and perspectives of economic cooperation between the Czech Republic and Germany in the future are discussed.
The operational programs of the cross-border cooperation at the Czech - German border: Czech Republic - Saxony, Czech Republic - Bavaria

The thesis deals with the operational programs of cross-border cooperation in the Czech -- German border, Czech Republic -- Saxony operational program and Czech Republic -- Bavaria operational program. The theoretical part is generally described the issue of cross-border cooperation and are characterized and compared the Czech -- German operational programs in terms of their grant-making territory, published documents, the implementation structure, including the priority axes and areas of support in the current programming period 2007 -- 2013. The practical part is focused on projects approved by both the operational programs, both at present and in the previous programming 2004-2006. The last part is an analysis of views on practical cross-border cooperation on a sample of applicants for Czech-German operational programs.
