Analysis of the Head cook's job position at primary school

This work deals with analysis of Head cook's job position at primary school. Its aim is to map necessary qualification, knowledge and abilities in the field of professional and management competence. All the relevant information needed to describe the job and to specify demands on this job was gathered through the survey. At the same time the survey showed, which professional and management competence was preferred when filling the head position in school boarding. The results of the survey were used as a source to make an instruction how to describe the primary school head cook's job. This instruction is presented at the end of the work.

Objective of this job is to propose such changes in personnel management, which will be good business.The theoretical part includes a summary of findings from the field of Human resources for example what human resources is, what it does and that activities in this area will need to be in the company to improve and enhance. Furthermore, the work tells us about the personnel audit and its progress. Analytical part includes the present situations in company. The practical part focuses on the application frame work day. This thesis focuses on the process of recruitment and selection of staff in the catering industry. Czech and foreign professional literature, professional and scientific journals and websites that focus on recruitment and selection of staff are used for the literary research. Final section deals with the evaluation of the current situation on the basis of structured interviews with the owners or managers. There are described jobs in the catering industry and compared competencies of graduates of vocational schools with business requirements. The outcome of the thesis is the proposal of an effective process of recruitment and selection staff in the hospitality industry. This proposal should serve as a basis for the owners or managers who do not have much experience with recruiting and selecting workers in this field of business or for those who do have experience, but fail to choose the right worker for their team.

This thesis focuses on determine analysis of the job requirements in the enterprise VK VACOVSKÝ GROUP s.r.o. As a part of this company have been prepared the individual job descriptions and the job specifications. This thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is characterized by the object and the purposes of the work, outlines the hypothesis and the methodology solutions. The informations needed to the job analysis were obtained through the method of the questionnaire, the personal interviews and the analysis of the corporate documentation. The second part deals with the explanation of basic concepts relating to the job analysis. The third section focuses on the characteristics of the company, describes the result of the empirical investigation and conclusions, which outlines the individual job descriptions, the job specifications and the new organizational structure.

The theoretical part defines basic terms, describes job analysis methods, a role of this area in other HR activities and briefly mentions a new approach in the form of a role profile. The practical part characterizes and evaluates HR policy and business processes and suggests improvements in this area in order to increase usability of this activity in a specific company. Based on these recommendations and conclusions, a new job description and specification is proposed.
