Types of firms and sectoral proximity in the industrial zone Borská pole

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to give a detailed view of the structure of the companies and its development within Borská pole in Pilsen - a successful, public- sector established, industrial zone. Based on publicly available information and analysing the websites of the individual subjects, the companies were divided into 6 types. After that, the development trends and the current status according to the proportion of the individual categories were evaluated. For companies in the manufacturing sector, a degree of sectoral proximity was identified using the ex-ante methodological approach of the related variety concept, i.e. whether the structure of the studied companies is diversified, related variety or specialized. Based on the research, a relatively high proportion of companies operating in non-productive sectors was identified and overall there is a notable qualitative shift regarding activities from originally predominant production towards tertiary and quaternary activities. Finally it was discovered that the industrial composition of companies within the zone is largely unrelated diversified. Awareness of the public of canistherapy in Pilsen region

The bachelor thesis process the topic public awareness in Pilsen region about of canistherapy and is diveded into two parts. In the theoretical part I deal generally with canistherapy, her history, forms, methods or canisterapeutical techniques fot it is use. In the practical part, I deal with how the general public is informed or how canistherapy is used by the general public in Pilsen region. Basic information was obtained through a questionnaire survey. The results of the guestionnaire showed that respondents from the Pilsen region know about canistherapy, they know where and how is canistherapy used, but they do not know the canistherapeutical association, where they could help.
Impacts of being titled European Capital of Culture 2015 on the city of Pilsen

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the project Pilsen-European Capital of Culture 2015. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the success of the project and to map its impacts. The theoretical part of the thesis deals mainly with the marketing of towns and municipalities. In the practical part these findings are applied to the concrete case of Pilsen. The marketing and communication activities related to the European Capital of Culture project are described. The main chapter focuses on the impact of the project, whether it is attendance of events or economic impacts. The last chapter describes the project's sustainability. The basis for the theoretical part was the professional literature about urban marketing, while in the elaboration of a practical part, the main sources of information were the internal resources of Pilsen 2015 and the project´s evaluation.
The development of the legal form of the Skoda factory in Pilsen in the years 1859-1946

The object of this work is the development of business regulation Skoda factory from 1859, representing the company's own foundation in 1946, when it was nationalized. In the context of this development work also deals with economic and social aspects that influenced the nature of this business. Research will focus on legal standards and their implementation in the Skoda factory. The analysis of most of the legislation under which developed the legal form of the company should show a benefit or adverse effect on the positive development of the company.
Great Synagogue in Pilsen: religious, cultural and educational centre at the background of the relationships between Czechs and Jews

EN The subject of this thesis is The Great synagogue in Pilsen. The main task of this work is to collect all information about the synagogue in the context of historic events from the time prior to its construction till the present days. The aim of this thesis was to connect this information in most possible complex way to provide a comprehensive description of not only the history and use of the synagogue as the building itself, but also the fate of the Jewish community and its relationship with Pilsen residents at the time of dramatic historical events, which this building and the Jews were forced to survive during these days.
Main events happened in Plzeň in 1989 and their reflection in the local daily Pravda

This diploma thesis strives to find an answer to the question of how the regional daily paper Pravda published by the West-Bohemian Regional Committee of KSČ in Pilsen informed about the principal events of the year 1989, namely the series of January demonstrations in the centre of Prague later called "Palach Week", about the Several Sentences Petition published in the midyear by Charter 77, about the demonstrations organized on the occasions of the 21 August 1968 and 28 October 1918 anniversaries, and about the "Velvet Revolution" that put an end to the more than 40-year reign of the Communist Party (KSČ) in Czechoslovakia. The thesis also ascertains to what extent the information provided by Pravda was distorted by the regime propaganda, and compares the approach of this daily paper to informing about the principal 1989 events with that of the central KSČ daily Rudé právo. The diploma thesis also describes the way of how the West-Bohemian Regional Committee of KSČ in Pilsen assessed the development of the political situation in the country in the year 1989 and how it controlled the Pravda daily paper. Psychosocial inhibitors of burnout syndrom teachers in primary education from pedagogical - psychological center psychologist perspective

Anotation: This work si about burnout syndrome among teachers especially the second stage of basic education with a focus on Pilsen. Is principally engaged in psychosocial attributes that either enhance or inhibit symptoms teachers burnout. The theoretical part deals with general plane, summarizes some of the current scientific findings related to burnout in the Czech Republic and abroad. Describes how it is possible to influence susceptibility to burnout teachers. Empirical part refers to the obtained information on randomly selected primary schools in Pilsen, specifically in ten teachers of second stage of primary school. Monitors both the general demographic factors, but also includes the results of Shirom Melamed Burnout Measure (SMBM) and qualitative analysis of the findings resulting from personal interviews with teachers. Empirical part is an indication of the frequency of the burned teachers in the sample as well as levels of social support from family, colleagues and executives. It describes the most common health problems, but also coping strategies used by teachers in prevention.
Political and geographical aspects of Pilsen's city development

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to briefly describe the city of Pilsen in terms of urbanism and to evaluate the progression of the city since the political changes in 1989. The first part of the text is based on the discription of the city and its main problems, the functional structure of the city and the key periods in the progression of the city. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to a comparison of the city's spatial plans of 1995 and 2005 and the analysis of the strategic plan. This analysis demonstrates the evolution of the city and compares the original expectations with the current situation. In the end the whole analysis is integretated into the political and economical context. The main point of this part is the intorduction of some controversial projects that makes the Pilsen's public to be more interested in the city problems. This conflict leads to increasing the interest of the public space by common people in Pilsen.
