Restoration of the Hell inn in Tišnov
Streďanská, Lucie ; Špiller, Martin (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the preparation of documentation for building permits and part of the documentation for the construction on the basis of an architectural study, developed in the course AG35 - Restoration of Monuments Studio. The topic of this work was to find a suitable concept of a new functional use with regard to the historical nature of the monument and its technical condition. The design also included the new construction of a housing for the owners and the solution of all surrounding areas. The result was an architectural study with an emphasis on viability and feasibility. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is a gentle restoration of the building with an emphasis on its revitalization with newly incorporated functions and original expressive elements. The operation of the tasting cellar in the preserved Gothic cellar has returned to the inn. The cultural and social heart of the building became craft workshops with a shop selling handmade products and a multifunctional hall. The operation was supplemented by an accommodation unit for the building manager, this operation also includes a new extension, adjacent to the west wing, which housed the operation of a temporary warehouse on the 1st floor and the bathroom of the administrator on the 2nd floor. Last but not least, the attic of the building with a reconstructed truss was revived. This part works as a mobile and multipurpose space, which can be adapted to current needs for children's camps, as well as for lectures and reading. One of the significant characteristic elements of this work are atypical roof windows copying the curvature of the mansard roof. These windows visually connect outdoor life on the street and occasions in the attic. This expressive element is complemented by dark metal accents of the restored exterior gallery, steel frame edging of the window, illusory entrance gate and new extension.
Restoration of the chateau and manor house in Vážany nad Litavou
Pruchová, Patricie ; Ing. arch. Petra Žalmanová, Ph.D (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor) ; Struhala, Karel (advisor)
The subject of this work is the restoration of the chateau and the manor house in Vážany nad Litavou. This building is located in the center of the southern part of the village of Vážany nad Litavou, on the main street of this southern part of the village. The building is a corner building that takes on quite a bit of dominance through its subdivisions. The building is not a cultural monument, but as part of this work we try to treat the building as if it were a cultural monument. The building dates back to the 1880s. The building includes a shed, which is probably added later. When inspecting the building, it is clear that the construction went through several different periods of time. It’s obvious with the hole filler, especially the windows. The aim of my design is to restore the vividness of the building, to force not only the locals to visit beautiful vaults and to restore the dominant object.
Reconstruction of Medov court Hermanuv Mestec
Grünwald, Jakub ; Mikeš, Stanislav (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor's thesis is to draw up the project documentation for the building permit and also to make parts of the documentation for the execution of the construction. The project proceeds from the architectonic study which was worked out during the summer semester in 2019 in pursuance of the subject AG035 Architectural design studio V.- Monument restoration. The main topic of the study is an overall reconstruction of the homestead and finding a new functional use of the listed building. The assigned parcel of land is situated in the Masaryk's square in Heřmanův Městec. The building historical research states a proof of the existence of the homestead already in 1591. The complicated constructional history of the object is in accordance with its function to provide a farming, dwelling and administrative base for the adjoining, aristocratic mansion. Towards the end of the 18 century this building went through the classicism transformation which has been defining its external appearance up to now. These days the building is mostly used as accommodation for a socially lower class which resulted in the deterioration of its technical state. This piteous situation more and more endangers the protected values of the listed building. The primary aim was to find the right concept with respect to the functional use of the solved object. The whole effort was aimed to create such a functional content which would breath life to the Medov's homestead and will open its door to the inhabitants as well as visitors. In the object there are situated premises that will not directly endanger or degrade the listed building by any their activities. These premises will make a maximal use of the homestead possible in the course of all day. Last but not least I also put an emphasis on the economic aspect of the building by placing restaurants, small shops and an administrative center in order to generate a certain financial benefit for the town.

Reconstruction of the Pohorelec at the JAMU Stage Design Studio
Kaděrková, Erika ; Mikeš, Stanislav (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor) ; Lavický, Miloš (advisor)
This thesis offers the complete documentation for the building permit and partial documentation for the construction work. It is based on an architectural plan and it is the outcome of AG35 (Architectural Design Studio 5) course. The two objectives of this study are the renovation of the former building of the Prosecutor General´s Office in Kobližná Street 22, that can be found in Brno city centre near Liberty Square (Náměstí svobody), and the suggestion about the new purpose of its usage. The renovation is possible under the condition that the ground plan of the building and partially also its exterior design should be preserved. To maintain the exterior design of this functionalist-style building I used e.g. the installation of new windows that are very similar to continuous windows. The interior of the building is completely altered and it is adapted to the new purpose of the building. I found inspiration in some of the original architectural elements, such as glass bricks or cast terazzo flooring. The building will serve as JAMU (Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno) headquarters, namely for Stage Setting and Lighting Design Studio and for the rectorate. The Stage Setting and Lighting Design Studio premises are designed in terms of mutifunctionality - with sliding walls we can change the room design and adapt them to different types of use. The two floors with the studios will be newly connected with suspended staircase. There will be a public café for on the ground floor. The makeover of the front garden is also a part of this thesis. There is a water element that can be used as a stage, a sitting and an additional greenery.

Relations among Heritage Restoration Stakeholders
Badal, Ivo
Today, heritage conservation is a problematic process from the point of view of the legislative framework as well as the relations among the stakeholders. The Act on Heritage Conservation, still in force, was adopted in 1987. Since then, several amendments to this Act have been made to reflect changes in related legislation (the Code of Administrative Procedure, the Building Act, the Civil Code, harmonisation with EU legislation,…); nevertheless, the Act on Heritage Conservation does not respond to all of the heritage conservation needs in the context of the current economic situation and situation in society.
