Purchasing habits and satisfaction of clients of a shopping center

The aim of this diploma master is to analyse the purchasing habits and satisfaction of clients of a shopping centre, evaluate recent changes and propose possible measures to improve the current situation. The theoretical part of the thesis contains information that is necessary for understanding the issue. There are mentioned factors affecting shopping behaviour, purchasing decision-making process, customer satisfaction and the definition of retail and shopping centre. The practical part is focused on the analysis of purchasing habits and satisfaction of clients of shopping centre. An anonymous questionnaire survey was used to obtain the necessary information. Finally, the obtained data are evaluated and measures to increase customer satisfaction are proposed. For the purpose of verification of purchasing habits and satisfaction of clients of shopping centre, there are determined hypothesis, which are then evaluated through statistical tests.
Shopping atmosphere in selected shopping centre

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the shopping atmosphere in a selected shopping centre within the field research and to introduce a proposal to improve the shopping atmosphere. This thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical part. The teoretical part defines the basic information about trade, which is further divided into wholesale and retail, and some information about shopping centres. Furthermore is defined shopping atmosphere and its elements. The last is described marketing research and its metods. In the practical part is defined the aim of this thesis, research question and methodology of this thesis. Furthermore is described selected shopping centre, which is IGY Centre in České Budějovice. This thesis contains the results of a questionnaire survey on the basis of which are recommended suggestions to improve shopping atmosphere.
Shopping center in Frýdek-Místek

The aim of the diploma thesis is to construct a steel shopping mall hall. The construction is located in Frýdek-Místek. The whole object can be divided in two parts. One part of the building is an atrium with a cross bridge made from glass. The roof construction of the atrium is designed as system of cylindrical lattice girders within purlins are set up. The other part of the construction is multistoried shopping mall with terrace designed as composite steel and concrete structure. The whole ground plan size of the construction is 72 m x 120 m. The height of the construction above the ground is 12.06 m. The cross-links are built up to 6 m one. There were created two versions of the construction. The most convenient version is described in more details. The outcome of the thesis is a comparison of two above mentioned versions. The whole project is based on officially recognised standard ČSN EN. The construction was designed in RFEM programme.
Behaviour of Shopping Centre Visitors

This diploma thesis focuses on customer behavior in specific shopping center. The theoretical part focuses on terminology which corresponds with the theme. The practical part focuses on analysis of customer behavior in shopping center City Park Jihlava. The main goal of the thesis is segmentation of customers and to offer recommendation to the management of the center. Proposals are processed and based on analysis and results of personal questionnaire.
Analysis of the impact of the implementation of the shopping center in the historical part of the city

The master thesis deals with shopping centres, which have become a modern phenomenon in todays retail world. It is concerned with its historical development, consumer shopping behaviour and describes trends in shopping generally and shopping center development. Current trends include the return of shopping centers to city centers. As an example of this tendency is the construction of a model shopping center in southeastern Moravia. Based on a research, the aim of the thesis is to evaluate the impact of the construction of this center on the consumer behaviour of the local population. The thesis also describes the impacts of construction in terms of economic, spatial, social and ecological. An equally important output of the thesis is the proposal of a marketing strategy including recommendations for improving the operation of the chosen shopping center.
Man and the City - philosophical and cultural-anthropological aspects of the problem

This dissertation thesis focuses on the philosophical aspects of the relationship of Man toward the city. The main methods of the work are interpretation of texts connected with the city and a philosophically inspired analysis of the bond of Man with the city as a space and time constructed, inhabited and shared by humans, and with its experienced phenomena. First of all it presents the method by which the theme of the city has been dealt with by scholars from the field of philosophy and other social sciences. We find the theme of the city in the works of a whole range of philosophers: For example, it served J. A. Comenius as a symbol of human situation in life, Michel Foucault as a point of departure for his political-philosophical analysis of power, and Emmanuel Lévinas for his discourse on culpability, punishment and responsibility. In order to understand the phenomenon of the city, observations from sociologists, architects, town planners and historians of architecture are also important. Moreover, in their works it is possible to find overlaps into philosophical thought, for example Bernard Lepetit contributes to the theme of the temporality of the city with the concept of the "trace", whilst Jan Gehl, through his discourse on the perception of environment and the challenge of applying a human...
The shopping centres as a lifestyle determinant

The main subject of my dissertation is a theoretical-empirical analysis of shopping centers as a specific type of subculture. Closer analysis of the shopping center's influence on contemporary lifestyle and consumer behavior patterns is accented. The whole structure of the dissertation is divided into three main thematic sections: 1. Shopping centers in the process of globalization and unification of human culture. 2. Shopping centers as a specific type of institution and subculture. 3. Shopping centers as a determinant of contemporary lifestyle. The source of information and data utilized for processing this dissertation are both theoretical literature and practical observation in Prague's shopping centers. Marketing at the shopping centre

The presented diploma thesis deals with the newly opened shopping center Galerie Teplice. The center is currently working on creation of a suitable market position with respect to the existing strong competition. The objective of the thesis is to evaluate the current position of the aforementioned shopping center on the market, then to learn more about its visitors and finally to improve targeting and personalize the marketing communication based on the analysis of results. For this reason the diploma thesis is focused on identifying and analyzing detailed information about the behavior, perceptions and preferences of visitors of designated shopping centers, especially of the Galerie center and on defining of its current positioning in relation to specified competitors.
Retail sales with a focus on the importance of shopping centers

This diploma thesis is devoted to the evaluation of the meaning and role of shopping centers in retail sales in the Czech Republic, using analysis performed. The SWOT analysis was carried out in order to identify strengths and weaknesses of selected shopping centers and to define their opportunities and threats. Further, some of financial indicators of given studied shopping centers were calculated and the resulting data were compared to each other in the monitored time period. On the basis of these results, it was evaluated a possible impact of the effectiveness of the law of corporations to shopping centers. In the next part, two retail format focused on food sale were compared based on financial indicators. The first format is represented by hypermarkets located in shopping centers and the second one by smaller retail units. The last section describes evaluation of questionnaire focused on consumer behavior of customers during food purchase and their preferences in choice a retail format.
Shopping Center in Ivanovice na Hané

Work deals with design of steel structure of shopping center. It is a building with rectangular shape with dimensions 28 x 55 m and a height 11 m and with cylindrical roof with 50 m radius. Main frames are designed with 5,5 m distance and they are made of arc roof truss connected to steel plate columns. Exterior building envelope is made of Kingspan sandwich panels. Roof cladding is designed without purlins and curtain wall is fastened into side rails. Macalloy tension members are used to obtain spatial rigidity of the structure.
