Russian civil war. Reflections in the Czechoslovak society (1918-1921)

This work deals with the reflection of Russian civil war (1918-1921) in Czechoslovak society. It focuses on the media presentation of the warring oponents, on the changes of this image during the conflict, as well as on the contemporary war reporting and public awareness. It also explores attitude of different groups of inhabitants and representatives of the state, as well as the influences and connections between events in Czechoslovakia and Russia. The work is mainly based on the research in contemporary press and various publications.
Changes in media presentations of violet sexual practices in the years 1990-2011 as shift of social norms in the sexual matters

The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the shift of media picture of violent sexual techniques in years 1990-2011 in Czech Republic during the media and society liberalization of new liberal state. Theoretical part of the document is based on the theory of social construction based reality and the media messages construction (gatekeeping, agenda setting, news values). Analysis is based on the Newton Media Search data resource → electronic database collecting publishing material from major media in Czech. 937 articles published between 1998 and 2011 containing keywords were analysed. Quantitative analysis was based on the development of frequency of publication articles with the keywords from BDSM area. Between media presentation of political parties and thier election result.

This thesis deals with the relationship between media coverage of political parties and election results. Specifically, it focuses on four political parties (TOP 09, Věci veřejné, KDU- ČSL and Strana zelených) in the period of nine months before the parliamentary elections in May 2010. The two established political parties were not successful in these elections (KDU- ČSL and Strana zelených), the other two parties were. Using quantitative content analysis of media content this work examines media coverage of these four parties in nationwide television, radio and print media. The thesis compares differences between media presentations of the parties with the evolution of political preferences of the parties. As a source, monthly data acquired by two public opinion research agencies - CVVM and Median - was used. Even more important to answer the research questions was to compare the media presentation of the parties with their final election results. The thesis assumes that the form of media presentation of the parties is one of the factors that affects their voters' support. Based on the data found this thesis tries to find out trends and patterns guiding the relationship between media space which parties achieved, the development of their electoral preferences and the final election results.
Socio - economic impact on self nurses

This paper discusses the influence of the social and financial awards on the self-assessment of nurses. In the theoretical part I deal with explanation of terms as self-konception, self-respect, prestige and social status of the profession. Since the prestige of the profession influences besides other things historical development of professions, I have been also interested in the history of nursing. To be able to measure the economic effects of self-reflection of the nurses, I compared the amount of the financial evaluation of selected professional groups in the country. In the practical part I have found out nurses' opinion to view their financial assessment with regard to educational achievement and job description and their opinion on membership in a particular social group. I also wonder, as a general nurse assesses the media image of their profession and what is most troubling to him. I also tried to determine what is the most common motivation for general nurses to remain in their profession. For this project, I have chosen the technique of quantitative research, the method of anonymous questionnaire of my own design. Research conducted in the period from 1st October to 15th October 2011.
