Emotional intelligence and her development in kindergarten through working with book

The diploma thesis deals with the area of development of emotional intelligence in preschool children through work with a book. It deals with the issue of emotional intelligence, its role in the development of the child, in the period of preschool age. The theoretical part is intended to introduce the reader to the issue of emotional intelligence and its relationship to pre-school education. The introduction of the thesis characterizes the period of preschool age and its specifics in connection with the development of emotions. Furthermore, emotions, emotional intelligence and its development importance in the chosen preschool period are defined and the possibilities of its development and appropriate ways of working are suggested (reading strategies, EUR model). In conclusion of the theoretical part, the importance of the development of emotional intelligence in the chosen preschool period is given and suggests the possibilities of its development and appropriate ways of working Within the practical part, the key method was action research, which served to verify the effectiveness of the created lessons based on the EUR model using reading strategies. Relationship between the parents of pre-scholars to the children book

This thesis deals with pre-reading literacy and focuses on the factors and actors that it develops. The first chapter deals with the theoretical definition and importance of education to the reading. The second chapter outlines the literary form of preschool education and how the literary education is included in the general educational program for preschool education. The third chapter is devoted to the primary and most important factor that the development of a child's reading act, and that is the family. It shows the possibilities of how children can relate to the books in the family to support the role of the relationship of their parents to read and stresses the importance of reading and storytelling in the family circle. The following chapter deals with the cooperation of nursery school and family in the development of a child's reading, closer is about the influence of teacher's personality and it offers opportunities to work with the book in full day kindergarten regime. The last two chapters of the theoretical part characterizes the specifics of children's literature and provide an overview of the typology of literature for preschool children. PhDr. Ondřej Hník, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: In her diploma thesis Use of Fables in the 5th Grade of Elementary School the author discusses teaching fables in Literary Education lessons during the last year of Elementary School. In the theoretical part, she briefly describes the features and history of fable and specifies the target age group. The main part of the thesis is the practical part. In the practical part, the author presents her suggestions for fable teaching activities as well as three ninety minute lesson plans. Finally, the author reflects on the realization of the lessons. Ekonaratology - story of nature

Ekonarathology Thesis deals with the history, goals and using modern theories of narrative in an interdisciplinary environmental education in pre-school environment. It describes the importance and potentiality narratology as an approach to children's understanding of the outside world and increasing environmental sensitivity. The aim of the research was to verify the narrative paradigm (Fisher, 2000, Bruner 1996) for preschool children and establish a closer relationship between children and nature by creating more authentic stories about nature, which the children themselves invented. The second part focuses on research among teachers in nursery schools. The task was to write books about nature, which in its practical use. From this list, then formed the top ten most popular children's books about nature. The work also offers a list of suitable books for ekonarathology method for preschool children. The result was the finding that children aged 4-6 years will naturally remember more when they hear the information in the form of storytelling, and that they are able to listen to nature and its manifestations.
The role of the book in evolution of the children's imagination

The master thesis deals with the importance of the book in evolution of the children's imagination. The first part includes short introduction to problems of children's imagination. The second part is engaged in ontogeny of child from prenatal period to the middle childhood and in progress of key competences. It analyzes selected psychological approaches, which had the imagination as a subject of the research. The thesis explains and defines basic terms and processes of the imagination. It deals with a specific phenomenon of the children's imagination and with the evolution of the imagination. The third part introduces typical children's literature, directs on the traditional fairytale and it specifies problems of the literary characters too. It describes the historical development of the Czech book illustration, importance of the illustration in books for children and it also describes children's drawings. The fourth part applies all of previous pieces of knowledges into the work experience in kindergarten. It also describes relations between child and school or child and book. Linguistic analysis of Petr Nikl's works

The content of this paper is a linguistic analysis of Petr Nikl's texts. Petr Nikl is an all-round artist. His main activity is graphic arts; he is also engaged in the Puppet Theater, he sings with a music group Lakomé Barky and writes children books. The aim of this study is to determine if the author respects the child perspective in his works. Especially if he uses only such language elements, that are appropriate for children. After a thorough analysis of all Nikl's books (Pohádka o Rybitince (2001), O Rybabě a Mořské duši (2002), Lingvistické pohádky (2006), Záhádky (2007), Jělěňovití (2008) a Niklův Blázníček (2009), I concluded that the author respects only some elements of the perspective of a child. The syntactic structure of the text is uncomplicated and therefore children appropriate. From the lexical point of view the situation is not so clear. The author uses simple metaphors, similes, uses words that mostly originate from the national origin, and often uses emotive words. On the other hand, uncommon and literary words and complicated poetic neologisms, that most children cannot know, occur in his texts quite frequently. From the morphological point of view I do not find any significant obstacles, so that children could not read and enjoy his works. But these obstacles can occur on the...
