Programming of PLD devices using microprocessors
Petrilak, Michal ; Fedra, Zbyněk (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This work is focused on configuring of Xiling's FPGA devices by embedded microcontroller. Several methods of configuration are described and the most suitable method is chosen. The attention is also paid to choose the microcontroller and auxiliary hardware components. The last part of the work describes the creation of the software for the microcontroller and for the PC. The suggested device should serve as an inexpensive substitute for commercial programmers from Xilinx.
Control of graphic OLED display with Atmel microcontroller
Bartošík, Vladislav ; Lattenberg, Ivo (referee) ; Hanák, Pavel (advisor)
This Master's thesis deals with design and a realisation of a device controlling an OLED display, Densitron DD-25664-1A. This display has a resolution of 256 x 64 pixels and allows displaying of 4-bit grayscale. The proposed utility software implements the initialization and termination functions, two sets of fonts { Latin and Greek letters and functions for rendering graphics and text. The result of the project is a device with the controlling software.
Data storage system for area of civil aviation
Kotulič, Dominik ; Novák, Lukáš (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
In the thesis the design of the Data Storage System (DSS) is proposed with the respect to the V-Model methodology. The design is based on users requirements, from which the system requirements are created and the technical specification of the DSS is developed. In the technical specifications the functionality of the DMM and HMI DSS subsystems are described and sub-system requirements are assigned to them, then they are subdivided and assigned to individual DMM (Data memory module) and HMI hardware items. Moreover, requirements are analyzed on hardware items, specific electronic components, are selected and implemented into the block design of the DMM hardware. Based on the block design of hardware, the hardware of the DMM subsystem is designed, selectively simulated and implemented along with the printed circuit board. On the implemented hardware of the DMM subsystems measurements are performed in order to verify the basic functionality of the hardware and the calculated, assimilated and measured values are compared as well. At the end of the thesis there is a short description of the implementation of the software design and its use for basic initialization of the selected processor, together with the verification of its basic function - measuring the frequency of the internal clock sources and the clock domains. The work is completed by sending a message of defined parameters to the selected communication line and sapling it by an oscilloscope, so that the basic function of the DMM subsystem is verified.
Forming Machine Control System
Vaško, Jiří ; Fojtík, Pavel (referee) ; Kučera, Pavel (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the implementation of the control system for the forming machine used in producing of confectionery forms. The introductory part describes the forming machine from the point of important control elements. The second part is associated with the hardware design of the control automat and description of main functional units on the control PCB, as well as on other PCBs. The following text presents the communication protocol between the control automat and PC and after that there is a description of the CPU firmware. The final section brings the characteristics of the PC application for a connection with the automat.
Developmental kit width AVR microcontrollers
Dostál, František ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Dlouhý, Jiří (advisor)
The topic of my bachelor´s thesis is the implementation of development kit with AVR ATmega16 processor and creation a simple program to verify the functionality of all the peripherals. Part of the solution is the JTAG programmer. Programs are developed in C language and tested with all necessary peripherals microcontroller, timer / counters, A/D converter, ports, USART unit. Also there were programms developed, that ensure scanning the keyboard matrix, LED lighting, crystal transducer activation, measurement using tilt sensors ADXL 330, communication with the LCD and easy connection to a mobile phone.
Programme module of RS232 format receiver in FPGA
Hrubý, Jiří ; Kolouch, Jaromír (referee) ; Prokeš, Aleš (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis describes program module of RS232 format receiver. The program is written in programming language VHDL for circuits FPGA from Xilinx corporation. Within the frame of the work the simulation and implementation of data receiver was solved. Simulation and implementation was performed by means of the development system XILINX ISE WebPACK.
Versatile Programmer of Components with JTAG Interface
Bartek, Lukáš ; Kaštil, Jan (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with designing and implementation of universal programmer with JTAG interface. The project consists of a hardware and software part. Theoretical part discusses actual state in using the standards for programming and testing electronic devices, with special emphasis on JTAG implementation. Next part deals with programming ARM and FPGA devices through JTAG. The programming of this devices using available software is described in the practical part of this document. Final product of this work is the programmer itself. The programmer consists of the hardware and supplement software. At the end of this thesis there is a conclusion about possible improvements and development in the future.
FPGA programmer
Sedlář, Jan ; Pristach, Marián (referee) ; Bohrn, Marek (advisor)
The work deals with the analysis of the realization of FPGA programmers. Its aim is to create a functional programmer. The proposal aims to minimize the components, their cost and area. The programmer should support chips from manufacturers Altera, Lattice and Xilinx. The programmer should enable support functions such as data transfer, virtual switches and the programming button.
Control of a model with CAN protocol
Procházka, Matěj ; Kříž, Vlastimil (referee) ; Hynčica, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis focuses in the importance of technical text on the CAN protocol, the design of communication with robotic chassis. The first part contains general information about the CAN protocol and its settings, and a preview of what products I worked. The second part focuses on software robot. The next chapter describes the hardware of my work and the last chapter is devoted to experiments with the robot and the overall evaluation.
SRAM memories testing with utilization of memory built-in-self-test
Sedlář, Jan ; Fujcik, Lukáš (referee) ; Hejátková, Edita (advisor)
The project deals with the testing of SRAM memories using method MBIST with the utilisation of sofware tool Tessent Memory BIST. The main purpose is to get familiar with memory testing and to create a design for testing on a specific chip which after its implementation on the chip will retain the original features and functions. Subsequently, the tool is evaluated on its usability.
