Structure of the Wake Behind an Airfoil
Uruba, Václav ; Procházka, Pavel P. ; Skála, Vladislav
The wake behind an inclined plate simulating airfoil is to be studied experimentally. The vortical structures are identified eventually. Theirs topology and dynamical behaviour is to be studied in details using the Proper Orthogonal Decomposition method. The stereo time resolved Particle Image Velocimetry technique is used for the experimental research. The vortex trains with oblique orientation and chequered topology have been detected.
Physiotherapeutic Techniques in Shoulder Joint Instability using Kinesio Taping Method
PELEŠKOVÁ, Michaela
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of physiotherapeutic techniques in shoulder joint instability using the Kinesio Taping Method. It is divided into two parts. In the first theoretical part you can find a chapter dealing with anatomy of the shoulder, biomechanics, kinesiology and instability itself, its types, possible causes, symptoms and treatment including the possibility of conservative as well as operative therapies. The second practical part focuses on various examinations, methods that can be used. There are also the results of the qualitative research which was based on casuistries. I examined four patients at the age range from 21 to 30. The patients underwent an in-and-out kinesiological analysis, a therapy where I tried to find suitable methods for stabilization of the shoulder joint. I also made a long term rehabilitation plan. The first goal of my thesis was to verify the effects of the chosen physiotherapy. The second goal was to prove the suitability of the therapeutic method Kinesio? Taping into therapy. The question of the research was if the planned therapy can improve the shoulder joint instability in case of the chosen patients. Improvement was reached in all cases, however it was not striking. The biggest factor was the cooperation during the therapy, especially the excercises at home. Each person preferred different exercises and different types of Kinesio Taping methods. This thesis can be used in the physiotherapeutic practices and as educational material for patients switch this diagnosis.

Motúzová, Diana ; Horák, Slavomír (advisor) ; Aslan, Emil (referee)

Identifying the Conditions of Instability in Macromodels of Financial Cycles
Zenáhlík, Aleš ; Baxa, Jaromír (advisor) ; Komárek, Luboš (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to construct an endogenous macroeconomic model explaining the cause of financial cycles and systemic instability based on the financial instability hypothesis (FIH) published by Hyman Minsky (1982). FIH maintains that capitalist financial systems have an inherent disposition to fi- nancial instability because periods of economic prosperity encourage borrowers and lenders to be increasingly reckless which in turn lead to the formation of financial bubbles. The problem is approached by employing an adaptive ex- pectations model based on stylized facts from Kaldor's and Kalecki's models with addition of behavioral equations implemented in an attempt to simulate market expectations. Inherent instability of financial markets
Hladík, Jan ; Buben, Radek (advisor) ; Znoj, Milan (referee)
The main aim of this presented diploma thesis is to help build a systematic understanding of the political and social foundations of global financial markets, their operations and impacts on the global power affairs. The thesis highlights the dynamic complexity of the post financial crisis state of the World with its itra- and inter-social features. It instrumentaly uses critique of a free market agenda and neo-classical economy which contrasts the Efficient Markets Hypothesis with Hyman Minsky's Financial Instability Hypothesis (FIH), taking into account the dynamic complexity of financial markets. This approach offers analytical tools that can account for crisis through processes endogenous to contemporary financial capitalism. I shall argue that a financially complex system is, according to the FIH, inherently flawed and unstable. After a theoretical and historical review, the thesis discusses various aspects of the process of austerity regime and its social consequences. This provides an opportunity for analyses of the ongoing existence of interstate competition, of militarised foreign policy, and of other international, at times violent conflicts. In an effort to make sense of some of these phenomena, I instrumentaly use the study of geoeconomics that builds on some fundamental assumptions...

The most often problems in shoulder girdle of women basketball players and options of physiotherapeutic affect
Komárková, Zuzana ; Satrapová, Lenka (advisor) ; Stupková, Michaela (referee)
Title The most often problems in shoulder girdle of women basketball players and options of physiotherapeutic affect. Objectives The main goal of the thesis is in theoretical part to summarize potentional problems in shoulder girdle of basketball players, options and solutions of these problems. There is complex examination of shoulder girdle of dominant upper limb of women basketball players in an experimental part and figure out where is the main problem in this part. Methods There are two parts of the thesis, the first one is the theoretical background for second experimental part where complex functional physiotherapeutic examination of shoulder girdle with using of aspection, palpation and special tests for shoulder girdle were made. The most often problems in shoulder girdle of women basketball player has been determined by using the results of testing process. Results Testing of shoulder girdle of women basketball players showed how often blockage of ribs is. Blockage of fifth rib was present in 90% of the probands, frequent was also decentred position of shoulder and shoulder blade, hypertone of upper fixators of shoulder blade and pectoral muscles. Most of probands had restriction of passive motion to segment in thoracic spine and hypermobility of shoulder. Often was present weakness of...

Holá, Irena ; Janatová, Markéta (advisor) ; Jeníček, Jakub (referee)
Name: Irena Holá Supervisor: MUDr. Markéta Janatová Opponent: Title of bachelor thesis: Balance training in seniors using force platform. Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of balance disorders due to ageing and the usage of the virtual reality in case of these disorders. The aim of this work is to evaluate the effect of home based balance training using the force platform and visual biofeedback. For the objective evaluation the Footscan® system is used. The thesis consists of two parts. Theoretical part summarizes the knowledge related to the balance provision, old age and ageing, involution changes which leads to balance disorders. This part also describes the virtual reality, its usage in rehabilitation and includes several studies of using gaming systems in elderly. In the end of the theoretical part the system which is used in the practical part is described. The practical part describes four weekly home balance training in the form of case reports, charts and graphs. There are analyzing data of seven respondents in the senior age. Results of the work are evaluated and compared with the conclusions of foreign studies. Key words: Virtual reality, aging, geriatric syndromes, balance, force platform, instability
