Design of a Robotic Cell for Flat Parts Production
Závodský, Martin ; Kubela, Tomáš (referee) ; Pochylý, Aleš (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the design of a robotic cell for the automation of woodworking machine tending. The task of the robot is to manipulate with the specified laminated chipboards of various sizes, before and after machining. The boards are brought to the cell on pallets in three possible placement variants. After a brief research part, conceptual designs of cell layout were created. The optimal and further elaborated design came as a result of selected evaluation criteria. The next part of the thesis consists of designs and selection processes of individual components. These were later used to create a simulation model in Tecnomatix Process Simulate software (Siemens), that helped to verify the functionality of the cell layout, design the control logic and acquire the time of the manipulation cycle used for informative calculation of annual production. In the end, the final design was evaluated from an economic point of view with an emphasis on the return of the initial investment.
A simulation study of a production line with industrial robots
Mrkva, Tomáš ; Kubela, Tomáš (referee) ; Pochylý, Aleš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a robotic workplace for deburring of a given part. The robot's task is to remove the machined part from the production machine, create a blank workpiece ready for machining, and finally deburr the the machined part. There are several proposals for the layout of the robotic cell, as well as the design of the end effector, the input tray for semi-finished products and a stand with tools for deburring. Subsequently, a simulation model of the designed robotic cell is created in the Siemens Process Simulate software. Using RSC modules, the exact resulting cell clock is determined. The whole process of creating a simulation model is detaily described. At the end of this thesis is an economic evaluation of the proposed solution.
Remote training station
Kučera, Tomáš ; Jirgl, Miroslav (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
The purpose of the thesis is design and contruction of remote training station for training with Schneider Electric products. Its purpose is to introduce company PLCs, familirize user with configuring variable speed drives and servo drives and prezenting Machine Advisor and EcoStruxure Augmented Operator Advisor online servives The begining is dedicated to introduction to company and a range of its products in the field of industrial automation. In second chapter, I select components for building training station. Third chapter is dedicated to assembly of station. In fourth chaper I describe programing of individual elements and example.
Design of a Robotic Cell for Weding Application
Rolinc, Lukáš ; Kubela, Tomáš (referee) ; Pochylý, Aleš (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of a workplace with robots designed for spot welding of wire reinforcement of the car seat. After analyzing and description of the given task, the workplace concept is chosen based on the input parameters. Subsequently, sub-systems of the production cell are designed and selected for this concept. For example the design of clamping fixtures, rotary table, input and output storage magazines or the selection of welding guns and robots are solved. The workplace is designed to ensure operator safety and protection. The production cycle of the designed workplace is simulated in Siemens Process Simulate to verify functionality and required productivity of the production line. Technical and economic evaluation of the proposed solution is also included in this diploma thesis.
Use of sensors in automation
Kiza, Jakub ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Blecha, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis contains a summary and conclusion of technical conditions of industrial sensors in the automatization field. The objective of this thesis is to analyze industrial sensors and subsequently list possibilities of their utilization in the automatization. This analysis was performed based on particular kind of sensors which were divided in accordance to their physical qualities. As a result of acquired research regarding principles and function of these sensors, it is possible to specify the essential advantages and disadvantages of the sensors. This acquired research allows for accurate usage and implementation of sensors in the engineering practice. Therefore, this thesis offers a summary of sensor information which can assist a reader to choose the proper sensor for particular applications.
Comparison of Czech and American company based on strategic analysis
Šípková, Jana ; Zamykalová, Miroslava (advisor) ; Kabelka, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with a strategic analysis of Czech and American company, which are active in an expanding field of industrial automation and robotization, and with a subsequent comparison based on individual parts of the analysis. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the extent to which the external and internal factors resemble or differ, mutually influence each other, and whether the differences in the external environment lead to differences in the internal environment of the companies. For the purpose of the strategic analysis, PEST analysis, Five forces of Porter, SWOT analysis and internal analysis, which was divided into factors of scientific and technical development, production factors and production management, marketing and distribution factors, factors of human resources and financial and budgetary factors, were carried out.

Selected analytical methods evaluate the external and internal environment of the company and its financial stability. The last part of this diploma thesis provides suggestions for improvements.
Demonstration stand for industrial automation elements
Dobiáš, Pavel ; Vaněk, Jaromír (referee) ; Dohnal, Petr (advisor)
The first part is devoted to familiarization with intelligent motor protection. On the device, the universal motor controller UMC100-FBP from ABB Ltd., explains the features and capabilities of these devices. Because the work is focused on creating a utility that will be used to communicate with a remote laboratory stand, in the second part briefly describes some of the communication protocols and network. The next section describes the implementation of remote communication and creation utility. To verify the accuracy of the displayed data as to the actual UMC100-FBP and the utility was performing a simple measurement. The results are discussed in the penultimate chapter. In the last part of the thesis describes a program created by the operating instructions of the program.
