Creation of laboratory exercises in the NS3 enviroment
Štefančík, Matej ; Langhammer, Lukáš (referee) ; Polák, Josef (advisor)
Diploma thesis provides an introduction to the ns-3 network simulator. It describes the basic abstactions and components of the instrument. This work further discusses the theory, which was applied during simulation creation. The concept of unicast, the issue of IP addressing and routing in networks are specificaly analyzed. The practical part is focused on the creation of four laboratory tasks within the scope of Advanced Communication Techniques. The first task is dedicated to the the issue of static unicast routing in the network. It clarifies the impact of metrics on the process of routing. The following task compares the different types of ICMPv4 and ICMPv6 messages. The third task discusses additional functions of the ICMPv6. Specifically, it focuses on five different types of ICMPv6 messages defined by NDP (Neighbor Discovery Protocol) and their role in the network traffic. The last task focuses on ensuring the quality of services (QoS) in wireless networks, by setting priorities and thereby dividing the traffic into different classes. Attention is focused on parameters such as throughput, delay and jitter.
An Analysis of Selected IPv6 Network Attacks
Pivarník, Jozef ; Podermański, Tomáš (referee) ; Grégr, Matěj (advisor)
This master's thesis analyses and demonstrates selected IPv6 attacks including two Man-in-the-Middle attacks and one Denial of Service attack - Rogue Router Advertisement, Neighbor Cache Poisoning and Duplicate Address Detection DoS, respectively. In the first part the author presents necessary information related to the issue and provides detailed information on how to realize these attacks in practice using publicly available tools. The second part of the thesis presents various ways of mitigating presented attacks, analyses implementations of some of those countermeasures on Cisco and H3C devices and discussess their applicability.
IPv6 Protocol Implementation Concept in Company
Dvořák, Petr ; Dolníček, Petr (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
Diploma thesis is focused on IPv6 protocol implementation in real company´s enviroment. In the beginning we are introduced with theoretical knowledge about this protocol. After analysis of current state of XXX spol s r.o. we can use this knowledge in practical part of thesis for proposal of possible solutions including physical devices.
Implementation and Security of IPv6 Protocol in the Company
Hensl, Jaroslav ; Sedlák, Petr (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This Master's thesis is focused on the IPv6 protocol implementation in a business environment. The thesis theoretically describes parts of the protocol which are then used in a real environment with respect to maximal compatibility and security. The thesis deals with hardware components, router configuration on FreeBSD OS, and switch configuration with RouterOS. The thesis also proposes how to monitor the network.
Implementation of IPv6 Protocol in Corporate Network
Priesnitz, Pavel ; Kovář, Vladislav (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the IPv6 internet protocol implementation in Teplárny Brno, a.s. network. At the first part it contains a brief definition of the protocol, differences between IPv6 and IPv4 and the teoretical description. Practical part is focused on the analysis of the network infrastructure present state in the real enviroment and offers some possible solution to implementation including recommended devices.
IPv6 Communication Library
Pecháček, Václav ; Slaný, Karel (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
Thesis deals with IPv6-based network communication. The aim was to create a library enabling FITkit development board equipped with Ethernet extension module to act as an IPv6 node. Project includes application to demonstrate available functionality. The library is written in ANSI C.
Protocols Analysis of CISCO Networks
Karlík, Martin ; Kenyeres, Martin (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
ABSTRACT Bc.Karlík, Martin Department of Telecommunications, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Brno University of Technology. Analysis of CISCO networking protocols This semestral thesis is focused on CISCO networks and protocols like MPLS, BGP, Ipv4, Ipv6, Multicast – sprase / dense mode. The task was study of those protocols and design and implement lab excercise with one of those protocols by using free network simulator GNS3. In this excercise is used CISCO router 3745.
Measurement of Backbone Routing Parameters
Celárek, Ondřej ; Kořenek, Jan (referee) ; Matoušek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with issue of routing between Autonomous Systems. For routing between autonomous systems is used Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). The routers in Autonomous Systems modify their routing tables based on BGP messages.   Routing tables are used for forwarding information on Internet. Issue of this thesis is analysis of change routing tables for eventually optimizing of routing architecture. First part of thesis is focused on theory of routers, routing ang BGP. Second part of this thesis focuses on implementation and execution experiments with routing tables. In this part are also described reached results.
Location visualization of sensor units
Hulanský, Jozef ; Verner, Lukáš (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
This master thesis deals with wireless sensor network with protocol IPv6. In the begining there are explained the priciples of communication in wireless sensor network, and based on this teories are configured a wireles network with predefined development kit. Furthermore, by using geographic coordinates, positions of the nodes are displayed on a website, what is a part of this thesis. On this website are also presented the measured values from sensors. For saving all informations and measured values about each nodes was used remote MySQL server. Communication between this server and 6LoWPAN network provide Perl script which is runs at periodical intervals. With this method automatization of the whole system are ensured.
Installation, configuration and testing of server services DHCP, FTP, VPN, NAT and SNMP in IPv4 and IPv6 environments
Brázda, Libor ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on selecting server services such as FTP, DHCP, VPN, NAT and SNMP and their implementation in operating system Windows Server 2008 R2 and linux distribution Debian. The theoretical part analyzes the problems of TCP/IP protocol including addressing in IPv4 and IPv6 environments. In next chapters, thesis contains detailed descriptions of individual services, their principles, security, etc. The last part is focused on the description of the laboratory task, their activities and contribution to student and also software used in the implementation tasks. The result of laboratory work is created job on the configuration of individual services in both operating systems. Tasks are made for students without previous knowledge of the problem, so they can successfully configure and test these tasks.
