Issues of care for a morbidly obese patient in standard beds and intensive care units.

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of care for a morbidly obese patient in standard units and intensive care units. The work is focused on how nurses in standard units and intensive care units care for a morbidly obese patient. The theoretical part consists of the characteristics of obesity, examination methods, treatment, the possibilities of prevention of obesity and selected aspects in the care for a morbidly obese patient in standard units and in the intensive care unit. The research part focuses on the obstacles which nurses perceive in providing care for a morbidly obese patient and on how nurses care for the hygiene, skin, nutrition, excretion and mental needs of a morbidly obese patient. The aim of the thesis is to map the issue of nursing care for a morbidly obese patient. This part was processed in the form of qualitative research survey using semi-structured interviews. Five nurses from the standard ward and four nurses from the intensive care units took part in the interviews. After obtaining the necessary information, it was processed in the form of open coding and the creation of six categories. The results show that the complexity of care is determined by patient's mobility, state of health and his cooperation. Other obstacles are his proportions, lack of staff and the need for more time for overall care. For healthcare professionals, care is more physically demanding when handling the patient during hygiene, after excretion and during positioning. The nurses regularly monitor the skin. They consult patient's nutrition with a dietitian. They use interview with the patient to identify his mental needs. Based on the findings, a brochure for nurses was created, which focuses on the most common problems in the care for obese patients, which nurses may encounter in their practice.

Newborn Care Safety from Mothers' Perspective

Current Status: The need of safety and security is one of the basic needs of a newborn. The nurses' role is to assess the level of education need in a newborn baby care and educate the mother accordingly, using a suitable method. The aim of the research was to assess the level of knowledge of mothers in a newborn care safety in home environment. Methodology: The study used quantitative method of research, using the technique of non-standardized survey. The selection of the respondents was intentional. The focus group were mothers of physiological newborns (N=300), that gave birth in Hospital in Jablonec nad Nisou between 15.11. 2020 and 30.1.2021. Results: Approximately half of the respondents (52 %) claimed that the benefit of postpartum bonding between a mother and her newborn is promotion of creation of breast milk. Only 45 % of respondents claimed that they wash their hands longer than 30 seconds and less than 1/5 of all respondents follow all six steps of proper hand washing. Less than half of the respondents (45 %) consider sleeping position on stomach or side of a newborn as a risk factor of SIDS. More than half of the respondents (60 %) knew how to resuscitate a newborn. The share of mothers in age category between 18-25 who answered wrong questions asking about CPR of a newborn was statistically significantly greater (p = 0,035) than share of mothers in higher age category. Respondents whose postpartum hospitalization lasted more than 72 hours claimed greater satisfaction with education in breast care statistically significantly more often (p = 0,029) than mothers hospitalized for shorter time. Respondents with primary level of education answered wrong questions asking about manipulation with a baby on a changing table statistically significantly more often (p = 0,046) than mothers with higher levels of education. Mothers having a fourth baby answered correctly question if blisters are a symptom of omphalitis, statistically significantly more often than mothers with less children (p = 0,014). The bachelor thesis used a method of the library research for creating an outline dealing with an issue of milk production and dealing with milk. The attention was focused especially on individual kinds of milking parlours, milking equipment and its sanitation, milking process itself, ways of treating and keeping milk after milking. Different kinds of milking parlours were compared and a summarising evaluation was performed on the basis of this comparison. It was revealed that for the breeders, robotic milking technology is useful because of a limited number of the labour force.

Comparison of match and training load of selected floorball women teams of the second and third highest league

This thesis focuses on the comparison of match and training load of women in the second and the third highest floorball competition. From September to November 2019, diaries of training load and match load were kept in clubs Spartak Pelhřimov, SK Jihlava - Žďár nad Sázavou B and Rudý Dračice MLADÝCH NADĚJÍ. Based on these diaries, tables of individual load were created. Then the graphs were created, which show individual parts in percentage. The research has shown that at all three clubs, the training unit changes with regards to number of exercise days per week, as well as the number of exercise hours. The club of Spartak Pelhřimov trained 13 times in the watched period, which took altogether 1 255 minutes. The women from SK Jihlava had the longest training load during three months. The result total 5 410 minutes corresponds to 51 trainings. Rudý Dračice got in total 960 minutes in 13 trainings. The lowest match load was watched at club of Spartak Pelhřimov and it took 576 minutes. The match load at the two first league clubs was higher. Jihlava played in total 1 320 minutes and Týn 1 155 minutes. The main difference between the first and second league clubs is mainly the match load, which as significantly lower in the second league.

How the environment of kindergartens affects the quality of outdoor play

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of outdoor games in the school gardens of kindergartens. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe and compare the level of school gardens in our conditions, including the proposal to streamline their function, especially with regard to ensuring the quality of outdoor play in the form of a suitable and stimulating environment. First, the theoretical part deals with the historical development of outdoor games and changes in school gardens and the importance of preschool child. The next chapter outlines factors and risks that can affect the quality of outdoor games in the school gardens. These include not only legal educational, security and hygiene areas, but also other external and internal conditions, which may be the influence of the Kindergarten and cooperation with the founder, attitude of teachers, parents, or also the responsibility of children. The follow-up chapter offers an inspiring preview to a foreign educational pedagogical approach and the last chapters are devoted to information on foundations, grants and inspirations, which can be used for the planned adjustment of the school gardens. The topic of the bachelor thesis is Health Sanitariness and the Quality of Game Meat. The goal was to focus on heath sanitariness of game meat, more precisely venison and quality of the meat. The thesis includes sorting of the game, its methods of breeding, ways of hunting and their influence on hygiene and quality of the venison. It describes requests for getting venison. There are described biological, chemical and physical risks for consumer and methods of distribution. Besides, there are mentioned the postmortem changes in the meat and the quality of the venison. In closing, there are mentioned culinary suggestions for the venison.

Design luxusní pánské toaletní sady s použitím dřeva

The aim of this thesis is to design a luxury shaving kit using wood as the basic material. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical section. In the first, theoretical section, the text deals with a summary of the historical development of the shaving culture related to the ethnic, religious and social aspects of male appearance. In the following chapters of the same part, the thesis deals with the typology of individual products, their usual material composition, their ergonomics and typical dimensional parameters of the basic shaving needs contained in a common shaving kit. The work continues with the description and comparison of modern and classic shaving and tries to evaluate both positives and negatives. The last chapter of the theoretical part describes the characteristics of some determinants and the resulting requirements that should be taken into account when designing the shaving kit. They are environment and hygiene, shaving utensils are most commonly used and stored. The practical part focuses on the description of the whole creative process. It deals with the research of the current market situation, both in terms of product range and the strategy of individual companies operating in the field of men's cosmetics. The next chapters outline the process of designing from concept search through sketches and visualizations, through the creation of a 3D model to the process of creating additional promotional materials. The results of the thesis are summarized in discussion and conclusion.
