Ways of Identifying Linguistically Talented Pupils by Primary School Teachers

The title of this bachelor thesis is "Ways of Identifying Linguistically Talented Pupils by Primary School Teachers". It deals with the methods of identification of linguistically talented pupils by primary school teachers. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and describes talent and its definitions, characteristics of a talented individual and criteria of talent, types and kinds of talented individuals and their classification. It also describes displays talented pupils and their identification in a school environment, sampling of talented individuals and their education. Attention is equally dedicated to linguistic talent and talent for foreign languages itself. Practical part targets the linguistically talented pupils at primary schools and their teachers. The thesis deals especially with the talent for foreign languages. The research is concerned with the main question: How do the teachers at primary schools identify linguistically talented pupils? Furthermore, there are two sub-questions to be answered. First research sub-question relates to the characteristics of talented pupils through the eyes of their educators. The life motives of philanthropists leading to bequeathed donations for charitable purposes

The thesis deals with the motives of philanthropists who made a bequest in their will with charitable purposes. The objective of the work is to describe the issue of donation in the form of such a bequest in a will and the approach of society to this kind of donation. The theoretical part introduces the characteristics of individual donation, philanthropy and donation by will. The practical part is processed in the form of qualitative research with the aim of finding out and understanding the reasons and motives that led philanthropists to make such a decision. Reasons and motives were explored based on semi-structured interviews with narrative elements with four respondents. The identified reasons and motives for donation in the form of a bequest relate to arguments related to donation, credibility, information, purpose and responsibility.
A pupil with extraordinary talent in primary school

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of exceptionally gifted pupils in the first stage of primary school. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. Its theoretical part is focused on illuminating the basic concepts associated with the topic of talent. Its aim is to introduce the basic types of talent and their possible combinations together, to characterize gifted and exceptionally gifted students, to state possible ways of their identification and to present principles and possibilities of work in their education, together with support in leisure activities. It also provides an overview of legislation that deals with the upbringing and education of the gifted. In the practical part, a survey was conducted with the help of interviews, together with an analysis of documents and subsequently case studies were prepared focusing on the needs of individual exceptionally gifted students, their parents and teachers in the entire educational process.
Gifted child in today's pre-school nursery

This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of identifying gifted children within preschool education in kindergartens. The objective of the work is to find out whether teachers in kindergarten are able to identify gifted children and then their talents in a targeted manner further develop. It also focuses on how preschool educators perceive such a child, whether they know and possibly use targeted methods and practises for working with a gifted child. It maps whether teachers and parents are sufficiently informed about further possibilities of cooperation with professional institutions focused on development of gifted children. The theoretical part comprises of a basic theoretical background including a definition of the term talent and performance and education of a gifted child. In the practical part, a qualitative comparison and semi-structured interviews are used for the research survey. The survey is divided into two stages. First, kindergarten teachers are interviewed, then parents of gifted children. The results of both stages are summarized and compared. Answers to research questions are summarized in a conclusion.

The study focuses on the problem of the gifted children at primary school. The study is composed of two parts - the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part of the study focuses on explaining basic terminology related to the talent, characterize the gifted pupil, shows the typology of gifted children and possibilities of identification the talent. The first part also presents models of talent and the basic forms of talent. It introduces possibilities and rules of working with talented children in the younger school age and provides basic information about current legislation connected to the education of talented children. The first part of the study also focuses on the support of talented children not only during their education. The practical part of the study is related to the questionnaire survey about educational conditions of gifted pupils on primary schools.
Biblical and socioscientific points of departure in the theology of gift

The presented work aims to outline some starting points of the gift theology. The first chapter follows the discourse of the gift in social science disciplines: especially phenomenological philosophy, ethnology, sociology of anthropology, economics. The second chapter, by working with concordance, presents the biblical basis of gift theology. The third chapter is an attempt to formulate a theological position to discuss the gift in the humanities.
Gifted Students in Geography

This thesis is one of the first in the Czech Republic dealing with the theme of gifted students in geography. The main aim of the thesis is to define the character of gifted grammar school student in geography. This wide and interdisciplinary theme is then divided into several scientific subthemes and questions. The basic theoretical approaches to the definition of gifted students generally and gifted students in geography are discussed in the theoretical background. The research part contains of the content evaluation of the International Geography Olympiad and the outcomes of the structured guided interviews. The content of the questions of the International Geography Olympiad is evaluated through the own constructed structured evaluation and then these questions are compared to the official Czech requirements for the graduation exam in geography. The outcomes of the guided interview are organized and interpreted using the method of the framework analysis. Despite the few problems while getting and analysing the data, there are finally defined the main characteristics of the gifted grammar school student in geography in the summary of this thesis.

Gifted pupil in contemporary school

Key words: gift, talent, education of gifted children, teaching methods and forms of working oganization This graduation theses is focused on gifted children and their signs. The theoretical part contains legislature relevant to educating of gifted children in the Czech Republic and various options of the optimalisation of educating process for gifted pupils. It also focus on different methods of recognising gifted children, educating them in school, options of educating and its problems, it deals with the formes of organisation of the teaching methods and basic approaches to educating of gifted pupils. The experimental part of this work is divided into two parts. The first one shows the pupils' oppinion about education, who visit the school for gifted children, the second one contents interview with teachers and examples of the good work with educating children.
Gifted child in the classroom

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of gifted children in the classroom environment. The main general topic of my thesis is: What is it like to be a gifted child among other children in the classroom? The topics of research to which I sought answers are as follows: 1. How do the closest people around the gifted child participate in developing its talents in the context of the classroom? 2. How are gifted children perceived by their parents and teachers and how it influences their position among their peers and also how it affects their educational process?. 3. What kind of relationships do the extraordinarily talented children have with their classroom peers and their teacher? In the theoretical part of the thesis a basic overview of current research of giftedness in children and its development is summarized. Much attention is devoted to social factors that have an influence on the talent development. In accordance with Mönks (1993) I determined family, age-peer group, and school environment to be those factors.
