EtherCAT stack implementation based on ARM architecture
Prítel, Pavol ; Macho, Tomáš (referee) ; Valach, Soběslav (advisor)
The aim of this report is introduction and implementation of EtherCAT protocol on Texas Instruments AM437x microcontroller. The primary goal is to implement EtherCAT communication with slave device. The EtherCAT configurable digital output module is implemented as example application.
Using the EtherCAT bus couplers in the development environment NI LabVIEW
Svoboda, Filip ; Šubrt, Kamil (referee) ; Houška, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis focuses on EtherCAT fieldbus and its application by using NI LabVIEW. There are described the theoretical part of network elements designed for automation use in first part. Next part includes description of the EtherCAT and its advantages. There is described how NI LabVIEW accesses to this fieldbus in the next part. The real application developing process on the specific manipulator is treated then. It is controlled by the bus coupler. The results of the experiment are discussed in the last chapter.
Submicrosecond digita trigger
Valík, Jan ; Skácel, Josef (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with theoretical basis to design and manufacture the device, which triggers digital edges at 32 inputs in total, timestamps them at submicrosecond time base and sends out via EtherCAT industrial protocol to superior control system. The research on existing solutions and the design based on their selection and task limitations will be done, the device will be manufactured and measurements will be taken to provide final judgement on their fit of task definition.
Automobile Mirror Testing
Kováč, Ondrej ; Kofroň, Jan (advisor) ; Malohlava, Michal (referee)
In many sectors of the industry, the testing is a part of the production process. It prevents defective goods to appear on the market. Manually assemble automobile mirrors are tested to meet the minimal requirements of the producer and to reject badly mounted pieces. We decided to automate this process in order speed up and ensure the reliability of the testing. A special hardware was designed for this purpose. It is completely controlled by our application running on a regular PC. One of the improvements we have accomplished is a noticeable acceleration of the testing achieved by the parallel test execution. Development of this project contributes to the creation of a library for controlling industrial hardware.
Stepper motor driver equipped with industrial communication
Nepivoda, Tomáš ; Baštán, Ondřej (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to design and realize driver for stepper motor, which could be controlled by supervising system using modern industrial communication network. The basis od this thesis is theoretical study on the subject of stepper motor drivers and industrial communication in the field of embedded systems. This theoretical study is then used for selecting the proper communication network and creating concept od the stepper motor. Thesis further describes design procedure and realization of hardware components and subsequent implementation of frimware. Last part of the thesis is dedicated to the creation of simple master device, which would be used for driver testing.
Industrial automation protocols simulation
Surový, Roman ; Pospíšil, Ondřej (referee) ; Blažek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this work is to implement a workplace that will simulate the network infrastructure of industrial automation protocols. In this work we focus on and perform analysis of industrial protocols ModBus, Profibus, Profinet, EtherCAT, CANopen. Furthermore, the network infrastructure with PLC with selected protocols will be operated. The output of the work will be a workplace that will be able to simulate real communication of two selected protocols between two and more devices. Another part of the work will be the simulation of three types of equipment occurring in an industrial environment.
DC motor controller module
Duz, Aleksei ; Kadlec, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kuchta, Radek (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the design and creation of control unit for DC motors drives. A principle on which the DC motor is based, a method of its control and a possibility to obtain current information about the position are briefly described in this work. After that, the different types of buses for communication with a superior system and justification of the chosen one, are presented. In the next section, there is a special emphasis on creation of the suitable driver model and a design of the elecrical schematic and PCB. The end of the thesis contains a description of commission a PCB and testing the main functions.
A SoC based EtherCAT protocol implementation
Procháska, František ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Valach, Soběslav (advisor)
This thesis focuses on implementation of EtherCAT master application for Zybo development board with Zynq-7000 SoC.
Slave EtherCAT module
Hadámek, Jakub ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (referee) ; Valach, Soběslav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create slave device using an EtherCAT fieldbus. It is focused on introduction of protocol and it’s implementation on microcontroller XMC4800 from Infineon. The result is a functional slave module with digital inputs and outputs controlled by EtherCAT master. In addition, the firmware of the microcontroller can be updated over the network. It also describes jitter measurements and comparison with faster Gigabit Ethernet.
Control module of stepper motor for positional system with Ethernet
Raszka, Dan ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
This paper describes the design of Stepper motor controller module controlled over Ethernet for positioning system. Part of this work describes analysis of the assignment, design of modular circuit, choosing right components and prototype design of communication and power module. In another part each module is described with emphasis to modularity. It deals with description of manufactured prototypes and their tested paramethers.
