Speech therapy of people after stroke

The diploma thesis deals with the speech therapy of people after stroke. The aim of this diploma thesis is the analysis of the communication abilities of people after stroke. On the basis of this analysis was created for two person therapeutic material, which was verified during speech therapy. The diploma thesis is devided into two parts. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses the issue of stroke and neurogenic communication disorders on the basis of the current state of knowledge. The practical part of the thesis is performed with qualitatively focused research with the use of case studies, observation and creating own therapeutic material. Case studies describe speech therapy and work with material. The research shows that the therapeutic material is usable in practice. Evaluation design therapy of neurogenic disorders of language in clinical speech therapy

The thesis titled Evaluation design therapy of neurogenic disorders of language in clinical speech therapy aims to find out what effect the speech reeducation to improve communication skills in people with acquired neurogenic communication disorders speech. Next, determine whether therapy plays a role during client environment, if the success rate of therapy affected patient's condition and the extent to which the clients are motivated to therapy. The theoretical part summarizes the findings from the literature on neurogenic communication disorders, aphasia and dysarthria. Each chapter is devoted to the terminological definition and definition, etiology, symptoms (for aphasia), classification, diagnostics and therapy. The practical part deals with the research survey. There are set targets mentioned methodology, research sample characteristics and place of the investigation. Following processing of four case studies. Speech therapy for people with acquired brain injury

This thesis deals with speech therapy for people with acquired brain injury. The theoretical part consists of three chapters that acquaint readers with the theoretical framework necessary to understand the range of problems examined. It approximates the issue of origin and effects of this disease and refers to attitude in therapy that can be realized to people with this impairment. The research part of the work puts a goal to analyze the possibilities of speech therapy of selected persons with aphasia. The resulting data agree on the fact that for effective speech therapy is necessary on the one hand an individual approach but also motivation of patient is very important. The thesis also includes creating a custom set of exercises which has confirmed the effectivness of the development of cognitive functions in persons with aphasia. The empirical part is based on the qualitative research which was realized by techniques of participant observing, interviewing, questionnaire survey, analysing progress and outcomes of activities, documentation and literature.
Speech therapy of children with developmental dysarthry

This thesis "Speech Therapy of Children with Developmental Dysarthria" deals with dysarthria and specific therapeutic methods that can be used in the context of speech therapy for children with this specific type of communication disorder. Part of the thesis includes the complete terminological definition of dysarthria etiology, its classification, its diagnosis and a detailed treatment of therapeutic methods. This thesis also includes supplemental methods, which is important for good child developmental and positively influences child speech. The main objective is to introduce potential therapeutic methods and subsequently analyze the frequency of their use in speech therapy. This thesis can be used as inspiration for speech therapists, who will lead therapy with children who have dysarthria.
The intervention of physiotherapy in the treatment of dysarthria after stroke

Stroke is the most comman cause of the speech disorders in adults. Dysarthria, as a motor speech disorder, is one of them. The treatement is based not only on vocal and articulatory exercices, but it requires the complex rehabilitation treatement. The benefit of the physiotherapeutic intervention beside speech therapy might be large. The treatement of the muskuloskeletal system allows to see the orofacial disorders in the context of the posture of the whole body. This work wants to make a view on the process of speech production and to describe relationship of the musculoskeletal system and speech. This work also summarises the basic informations about pathogenesis of dysarthria and particularly about the treatement. The swallowing disorders are also very comman complication of the stroke and occur very often with dysarthria. The aim of this work is to describe the specific role of the physiotherapy in the treatement of dysarthria and look for some possibility of the cooperation between physiotherapist and clinical speech therapiste. Integration of the child with serious dysphasia and dysarthria in the first grade of the common primary school

This thesis deals with the issue of developmental dysphasia and dysarthria, their causes and manifestations, and the integration of children with this disadvantage into the first grade of common elementary school. It describes single language levels both in theoretical and in practical ways. It focuses on finding the level of motorics in a particular pupil at the beginning and at the end of a school year. It compares his/her reception by other children in the class and explores his/her position in the group of schoolmates. The thesis also surveys parents' opinion on the integration of a pupil with special needs.
