Application for Controlling iNELS Intelligent Electrical-Installation for the Windows Phone Platform
Design and Implementation of Smart Home Using Raspberry Pi and Wireless Elements Based on SoC Espressif
Jakuba, Jakub ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
The work is interested in the design and implementation of control systems for Smart Home. It tries to show what the possibilities that exist today, and that making a smart home is no longer a complicated and expensive thing. So it does not have to be made only by an expert in the field, but it can be attempted by a person who has the desire to learn something new and upgrade their home to "Smart" for a relatively small price. Devices and programs applicable to the implementation of a smart home are described here.
Design and Implementation of IoT for Monitoring and Control of Smart Homes
Smejkal, Jakub ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with a generic design and implementation of an IoT system, specifically for a smart home. The thesis aims to compare existing systems and hardware solutions. In this thesis there are a few examples of hardware firmwares and a prototype of a software for controlling and monitoring. The selected problem is resolved by designing a general system for a smart home. As a sample implementation, the system will be created by using hardware devices from Czech company HARDWARIO and sensors from various vendors. It will contain some environmental sensors, motion detectors, etc. The implemented prototype of an application allows easy monitoring of the whole home in one place thanks to an uncluttered UI, which is fully customizable for the user's needs.
Smart house in 2020
Tvrdý, Radek ; Prinz, František (referee) ; Mauder, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with smart home technology. The work is divided into research and design parts. The research part presents technologies of smart houses, their divisions, functions and possibilities of solving these problematics. The emphasis is placed on the energy concept of the house, especially the use of renewable energy sources and systems for treatment of the indoor environment. In the second part, based on previous research, a smart home design is created.
Smart Home Implementation by Means of Eclipse IoT
Heřman, Kristián ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design Smart Home control application by means of Eclipse IoT, its assembly and comparison with the standard control application. Reference application is realized by a combination of Node-Red and Home Assistant applications. However, the reference application will overcome the proposed solution both in practical usability and user-friendliness.
IoT sensor for house plant
Schweidler, Daniel ; Dobrovský, Ladislav (referee) ; Šoustek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to compile research about prepared house plant sensors, to get familiar with the Arduino platform and with its aid suggest an own IoT device for collecting and transmitting values related to successful growing of plants. The designed sensor enables growers to measure ambient temperature, humidity and soil moisture and temperature. Another output from itself is a level of battery charge. Then all these data are transmitted by Wi-Fi by dint of communication protocol MQTT to the web interface ThingSpeak, so that they can be easily displayed, e. g. in a mobile phone.
Communication Protocol Optimization
Buno, Petr ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with smart home issue, analyzes existing solutions and is focused on the system that is developed in collaboration with FIT VUT in Brno. The emphasis is on the description of client application for control and monitoring of smart home system. Furthermore, the work discussed base theoretical knowledge from internet communication field, which is closely related to these issues. The core of the work is to design a communication protocol between the server and a mobile device. Finally, the work also includes a description of a network layer at the device using this protocol. The last part is devoted to testing and evaluation of the final solution.
Model-Based Design of Smart Home Control
Čada, Roman ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This work deals with model-based design of Smart Home control and implementation of this system. The goal is to create a model that serves as a design and according to this model implement the system. Model-based programming tools do this well. The work first describes the model-based design, the modeling languages that are used to create such a design and the technologies that are used in Smart Home. Based on this knowledge, the model is created as a design using the SysML modeling language and then this design is implemented using PowerDEVS and Node-RED.
Wireless Sensors for Smart Home
Brychta, Tomáš ; Viktorin, Jan (referee) ; Korček, Pavol (advisor)
This thesis deals with sensors for wireless communication in smart homes. The task of sensors is to establish connection with controlling unit through which the measured data  will be sent using defined application protocol. The work analyzes in detail the influence of interference on this communication and offers solutions of eradicating this interference to improve stability of communication itself. As a prototype for sensor device we used development kit from Microchip company.
Smart Home Security Management
Valičková, Monika ; Sedlák, Petr (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on increasing Smart Home Control System security in terms of information, network and physical security. It is based on a risk analysis of the current state of applied security management and the needs of the house owner. Both security countermeasure and cost analysis are thoroughly discussed, and the thesis also contains methodology, which describes the management of smart home security and improvement of end-user security awareness.
