Media construction of a socially major phenomenon of child abuse and related topics in the context of the document V síti

This diploma thesis is dedicated to the media construct of the socially serious phenomenon of child abuse on the Internet in the context of the documentary Caught in the Net. The thesis aims to determine how the media reflect this issue and which aspects are accentuated. In the theoretical part of the thesis, serious social problems related to the phenomenon of child abuse on the Internet are summarized. Furthermore, the topic is placed in the context of new media, and terms such as media discourse or agenda setting are being defined here. In addition to the description of the applicable legislation related to the issue, the theoretical part of the work also contains a summary of previous studies and already implemented research investigations related to the phenomenon of child abuse. The document Caught in the Net is also briefly described. In the practical and analytical part of the work, the effort was devoted to the actual implementation of the research investigation and the subsequent evaluation and interpretation of the data found. NÁZEV DIPLOMOVÉ PRÁCE V ANGLICKÉM JAZYCE The Criminalization of Cyberattacks on Information Systems ABSTRACT This master thesis deals with the issue of criminalization of attacks on information systems. The topicality of the topic is supported by the rapid development of information and communication technologies and the shift of everyday activities to the virtual environment. Nowadays, cybercrime poses a growing danger not only to individuals but also to the state. The aim of this thesis is to introduce cyberattacks and to classify them criminally. Furthermore, attention is concentrated on the procedural aspect of attacks, in particular on their detection, investigation and the procedure of international cooperation. The transnational and international framework in the fight against cybercrime is not omitted. The thesis seeks to identify what problematic aspects domestic legislation faces and what future developments in the field of cybercrime can be expected. Generation Alpha and its relationship to the social media

This paper aims to examine the Generation Alpha and particularily what is the role of media in their lives. The whole text is sourced from academic research and surveys both from the Czech Republic and across the world. In the first part, the paper describes the topic of generations in general, offers definitions and approaches to classifying generations - and reasoning behind these. Moreover, the first part of the paper compares generations preceding the Generation Alpha. The second part describes specific characteristics of the Generation Alpha, their values, attitude to education and focuses on the psychosocial developement of this age cohort. It focuses on the distance learning and its impact on this generation, since the fallout of COVID-19 pandemic caused it to be unprecedentedly widespread. Work of Mark McCrindle, the man who named the Generation Alpha, is briefly mentioned here. The final part describes media, their impact on human personality developement and Generation Alpha in particular. A comparison is drawn between how Generation Alpha of Czech Republic relates to media and what is the global picture.

Master's thesis abstract Internet Governance in Putin's Russia - a long-term perspective This longitudinal case study is dedicated to the analysis of the development behind Russia's approach to Internet governance. By qualitatively researching the development of the Kremlin's approach to Internet governance, this thesis aims to capture the learning process behind regulating the cyberspace in Russia. As such, the aim is to understand what kind of events have shaped its perception of how Internet and the underpinning infrastructure should be approached to increase the regime's stability. Building on the concepts of digital authoritarianism and authoritarian learning and by understanding learning as a long-term process with turning points, this thesis aims to answer these research questions. How does Russia's digital authoritarianism manifest? Which events, both domestic and international, hastened the pace and intensity of cyberspace regulation in Russia? Can we identify a learning process behind Russia's long-term approach towards Internet regulation? For these ends, the turning points refer to events after which we can identify a change in the perception of Internet governance and/or intensification in controlling the online information space. Cybercrime in the EU

This bachelor thesis deals with cybercrime in the European Union at present time. It begins with a description of the most well-known historical cybercrimes, which has helped to create cybercrime as a separate branch of crime. Subsequently, the work describes the changes that have occurred in the development of cybercrime, describes the practical problems in prosecuting cybercrime and its current trends. At the same time, it outlines the problems that arise in producing adequate statistics. The practical part of the work then describes the basic function of the application, which was created to work for the purpose of providing information on cybercrime and clear mediation of available statistical information.
Elements of Information Literacy and Netiquette Knowledge among Primary School Students in Klatovy Region in the Czech Republic

This master thesis deals with some elements of information literacy throught the term netiquette. The netiquette's relation with etics and etiquette is described in the theoretical part. This part's interest lies in the organisations engaged in netiquette, cyberspace, language and chosen elements of information literacy in connection with the computer literacy. The empirical part of the research handles the knowledge of netiquette at 4th and 5th grade students of elementary schools. Using an anonymous questionnary, the research's objective was to discover the acquaintance of the term netiquette and to realise the differences of the acquirement according to the size of the location of their elementary school, to the sex of subject and to the socioeconomic status of students. The research detects the relation of the information literacy with more facts, as having computer at home, knowing how to use computer and internet, managing the basic manipulation, being familiar with the safety rules. According to the investigation, all the asken students have modern technologies at home with ratio of 27% of the students on the countryside and 59% of the students living in a town, overal 43% of asked subjects are familiar with the netiquette. TITLE: Attitudes of Teachers to the Phenomenon of Cyberbullying AUTHOR: Jiřina Piškulová DEPARTMENT: Department of Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Michal Zvírotský, Ph.D ABSTRACT: The thesis deals with the definition of cyberbullying and its relationship to the "standard, school" bullying. It draws attention to their differences and emphasizes their similarities which could be used in working with it. The work contains descriptions of some kinds of cyberbullying and their examples. It specifies the typical features of the aggressor and the victim, again in the contrast to the standard bullying. It gives instructions to the prevention of this socially pathological behaviour from the point of view of the user, his parents and the school. It describes the process of revelation and consequent investigation of cyberbullying and anew it deals with the measures of the school, parents and the user. It comments on cyberbullying aimed at teachers, it defines the attitude and tries to estimate the attitudes of teachers the cyberbullying. The diploma thesis Public sphere in networked society concerns about the relation of public sphere and cyberspace. Cyberspace is defined as new social institution, which is not embodied Habermasian normative ideal of critical public sphere, but in contrary it constitute new forms of inequalities and new forms of fragmentarization and commercialization. Explored are therefore also theories which critically deal with concept of public sphere and better describe the reality of cyberspace. The expansion of Cyberspace and horizontal communication network also relate with transformation of contentious politics. The thesis provides an overview of historical development of new action repertoire of contention - virtual sit-in. As an embodiment of all these societal shifts, which are seen as an elements of change in power balance, is presented Operation Payback orchestrated by hacktivist group Anonymous.
