Culture Shock on the example of international students in Prague

This thesis covers the problem of culture shock that is nowadays becoming more and more popular, since our world is the world of both extensive and intensive integration and globalization. The aim of the work is to analyze how much international students in Prague are affected by culture shock. The first part of the thesis provides the deep information about the concept of culture shock. The second part of the work comprises the survey which was done by the mean of the questionnaire. The results are evaluated and presented in the particular chapter together with evaluations and inferences. The research shows that there are certain patterns of behavior that can be seen in particular cases regarding culture shock.
Impacts of cultural events as a specific form of tourism (Case study: music festivals in Czechia)

The main objective of the thesis is to evaluate the impact of mass-attended cultural events in the localities where they are organized. As a best practice case studies were selected music festivals in the Czech Republic. Music festivals of its significant implications far wider than the premises, which are organized and directly interfere with the normal life of communities in whose territories are located. The theoretical part focuses on describing the basic concepts work mainly through the literature. Explained in it, among other things linking tourism, culture and related sustainable capacity of the area, as well as the specifics of music festivals in the Czech Republic and at the end of the economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts of cultural events in the wider area surrounding the area in which they are organized. The last part of the theoretical framing is a key issue for the practical part. In it are carried out with the help of surveys among visitors and residents cultural events mapped the effects of socio-cultural and environmental impacts. The economic effects were mainly focused survey conducted between business entities operating in specific affected communities. Conclusion evaluates the results achieved by the underlying surveys and compares them with pre-defined objectives.
Native Culture and Art of the Northwest Coast and the Impact of Tourism on Their Revitalization

This paper is about cultural area of the American Northwest Coast and especially about Salish art. The subject of this paper is mainly a theoretical analysis of the most important artistic artifacts. Particular attention is paid to developmental transformations of traditional artifacts and their function in modern society. The goal is to capture the importance of artistic traditions of American Indians, especially the Salish group, in the context of the current revitalization movement. Major emphasis is placed on the impact of tourism on revitalization of Salish culture and art and on the role of native artistic artifacts in the commercial use of historical and cultural heritage of the area. The paper examines the influence of art and as well tourism on the perception of identity of indigenous people.

Work Contemporary Art as a Tool of Art Marketing of the City of Prague aims to show culture not only as something saint and untouchable, but also as a very important part of a state economy, mainly in the framework of tourism. It deals with the relationship of culture and marketing, with the meaning of culture itself and with its role in the area of tourism. It looks into culture as the tool of the communication of Prague and looks critically at the contemporary situation of its presentation for tourists. There's no doubt that the presentation of Prague only through historical city centre is no longer enough in the competition of other cultural destinations and that Prague should think about changing and developing new strategy of communication. As the very tool of this change could work contemporary arts, which is used by many other cultural destinations around the world (Berlin, London, NYC), which Prague can also offer and which shows openess and a better place for life. Analysis of the supply of cultural tourism in Karlovy Vary

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the offer of cultural tourism in Karlovy Vary. The thesis tries to prove the importance and significance of cultural tourism in tourism in Karlovy Vary through the available theories of cultural product and through the offers in tourism and tourist industry. The practical part of the thesis contains analysis using the theory of distribution of cultural tourism according to GR and the theory of expert interviews. The analysis finally evaluates the offer of cultural tourism, describes its negative and positive aspects and recommendations for the future.
Preparation, organization and management of product cultural tourism in Vlašim

The objective of this study was to propose a cultural and social event represents the Roma culture as a tourism product, including its material, technical, administrative, financial and commercial terms. Project proposal was based on a survey of currently offers of cultural events in Vlašim, analysis results, the preferences of visitors, potential restrictions by state and local authorities. Another objective was to evaluate the benefits of proposed event for tourism development in the surveyed area.

It is divided in two major sections: the theoretical and the practical one. The former provides general insight in the topic while the latter inquires into a sample application named Geocaching. In addition, it involves an illustrative questionnaire utilizable for collecting necessary data in order to measure the expenditure of its users.
The life in Třebíč after being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site

The main aim of the bachelors thesis is to analyse and evaluate the influence of adding the sights-basilica st. Procopius, the Jewish Quarter and the Jewish cemetery on the life in Třebíč. The theoretical part focuses on cultural tourism and the UNESCO organisation. This section also describes tourism in the Czech republic and compares three UNESCO sites located in the Vysočina region. In the practical part are analysed changes in the town 13 years after being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in different points of view, which are focused on cultural events regarding the celebration of UNESCO sights and jewish community, on changes in appereance of the town and new businesses. This part deals with promotion of the Třebíč and evaluate the number of visitors of the sights as well. The bachelors thesis involves the questionnaire research.
Role of Cultural Tourism in Marketing of Castles and Chateaus

This bachelor thesis called: Role of cultural tourism in marketing of castles and chateaus is focused on coordination processes and marketing management. The theoretical part defines basic notions related to cultural tourism and marketing communication. Practical part of the thesis is application of theoretical findings on two selected castles: Karlštejn and Rožmberk. This part includes an analysis of basic conditions of existence and development of tourism and useable marketing tools. The final part summarizes all the advantages and issues of both castles and draws a set of recommendations which could lead to improving the position of the destination on the tourism market.
